~The number 1 most important beauty tip I know is keeping a clean machine!

A Mommy Meme

The fun kitties at The Kitty Krew and Crew's Views tagged my Mommy for a meme - it took a little while to for her to agree to join in - but I kept asking nicely with my love eyes, and she cannot say no to the love eyes!

Hi kitties, Parker's female 'rent here, and I am going to show you a few photos of me!

Here's my shadow at Lake Tahoe!

And here I am in Kindergarten - 5 years old!

Now for the facts -

I am bad at math and that's why there are 3 photos of me and 7 facts!

My career is in health care at a very big hospital. I help beans feel better.

I was VERY allergic to kitties until I was about 19 years old.

I was a vegetarian until 5 years ago when I was diagnosed with Diabetes. It's very hard to be Diabetic AND a vegetarian. I couldn't stop being Diabetic, so I had to stop being a vegetarian. Now Parker's male 'rent calls me the "world's guiltiest carnivore".

I was adopted when I was 6 weeks old - I never knew the people who gave me up, but that's OK with me. I was very fortunate to have been adopted by the world's best parents! I am also an only child. It's safe to say I was a little spoiled growing up!

I enjoy both Shakespeare and Southpark.

Someday the other 'rent and I would like to live in Colorado, maybe Southpark : )

Our Tiny Girl Does A Meme

While the ittiest, bittiest member of our family came out of her Autumn funk, she has gone back into another one. She's back under the bed and will only come out for meals, to use the box, take a drink out of the bathroom faucet and to lay on Mommy at night. When it's very, very still and quiet. We are stumped. She is physically healthy, but she's acting a couple of sammiches short of a picnic.

Easy Like Sunday - and A Meme

Oh! Hi! Wow, we are being laaaaaazeeeee this weekend. It's hot and there isn't a lot to do in August for a kitty in O Hi O. So I nap and 'nip, nap and 'nip. Really, I am not complaining! I had a lot if fun at the wedding of Mao and Ariel yesterday - although we need to think healing thoughts for Ariel's Gramma, she isn't feeling well. We all need to pray for Mr. Milky as well.

I don't know if I have 6 quirks or not. I've thought about this and I have a few I will tell you about...

I'm not happy unless I position myself next to Daddy's head every night. I love being right next to him. I think I feel very safe there.

I have claimed the dining room table as my new favorite place to watch the world go by. I seem determined to be up there, so Mommy and Daddy have given up trying to discourage me.

As I get a little older, my purr is getting just a wee bit louder. Mommy used to think that I did not purr, but now she can hear a purr inside of me once in a while.

I always use a scratching post or the deck wood to sharpen my claws. I have never used the furniture - what a good kitty I am!

I know how to tell time. Every evening at 5:30 I start to meow for treats.

I love tuna juice, but I am really not too fond of tuna.

Easy Like Sunday - A Diamond Meme

Chance's woofie brother Shadow tagged Diamond doggie for a meme. Diamond was very excited and wanted me to let him do it today. Since I am all tired and happy that the 'rents are home and the 'nip party on our deck was so much fun, I'm going to let him have a go at it! Ain't I nice?

1. What was I doing 10 years ago? I just turned 6 this month, so I think I was a Dogstar in heaven!

2. Five Things on my to-do list today. Help Daddy with the morning chores, be the referee when Rudy chases and teases the other kitties, chase the squirrels in the backyard, nap next to Daddy on the big comfy chair and be on "are you going to drop anything on the kitchen floor while you cook patrol" when Mommy prepares dinner.

3. Three snacks I enjoy. My Pill Pockets that have my Pepcid in them. Doggie Peanut Butter Pops, and Merrick's Pumpkin Crunch. Oh, and anything Daddy is eating.

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire. That's easy, I would give the money to Mommy and Daddy and ask them to change the way animals are treated. Free spay and neuters, no kill shelters, law changes, no chained dogs, free health care for all of us, humane education in schools. It would be a different and kinder world for all of us! Oh, and I might ask for a lifetime supply of Peanut Butter Pops!

5. Three of my bad habits. I bark at the lady in the bloo shorts, I am sure she tries to steal our stuff every time she comes on the porch! I chase Rudy when he tries to snuggle with Daddy 'cause I get jealous. I refuse to learn how to sleep vertically on the bed. Horizontal is way more enjoyable!

6. Five places I have lived. At the mean breeders place, at Second Chance Adoptions, in the big bloo house in Kansas City and right here in the big red brick house in O Hi O!

7. Five jobs I have had. Referee, Snugglebuddy, Squirrel chaser, walking companion and food tester.

That was fun! I am going to tag any doggy out there who lives with felines and has not played yet!

Here is the nearest book to the computer. It's a very old copy of J.D. Salinger's Catcher in The Rye. It is Mommy's favorite book ever. She even has a first edition of it! here is what is says on page 123 - the 3 sentences after the 5th one;
"In a way, it was sort of depressing, too, because you kept wondering what the hell would happen to all of them. When they got out of school and college, I mean. You figured most of them would probably marry dopey guys. Guys that always talk about how many miles they get to a gallon in their goddam cars. My Middle name is "Doggy." I get called "Diamond Doggy" a lot. I think it's weird and redundant, 'cause I think it's pretty clear that I am a dog. But it is what it is, and as long as they don't call me "late for dinner", I guess I'm OK with Diamond Doggy!

D - delightful! I am a delight, I am a lot of fun to be around and I have even given pony rides to my kitty sibs!

O - outstanding! I am an outstanding dog! I stand out in the back yard, the back seat of the car, the driveway - I'm outstanding where ever I am!

G - gentle. I am a very gentle soul. Mommy says that there isn't a mean bone in my body!

Saturday Caturday - Meme

Sammy and Miles, who always make me smile :), the most wonderful Storm and the cute, young kittens, Lyra and Caesar tagged me for the "What's New With You" meme. I have to list 3 new things that are new with me and then tag some other kitties. Since I am soooooo tardy in doing this, I'm not going to tag anybody - I think everyone's done it already!

1. I ate Liver Pate! Here's my opinion of it - NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!

2. The computer guy could not get to our house yesterday. Now he can't come till tomorrow morning. It's new for me not to be able to go and visit my friends.

A Tuesday Tummy and A Meme!

Here are the rules:

Here's the question -

What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?

I have had a lot of time to think about this, I just sat down, closed my eyes and let my thoughts drift. Here's what came to mind -

1. I would take a trip with Mommy and visit the ocean. She told me that she met some kitties in Oregon who lived near the beach and they would take a stroll down the sandy shore every morning. Doesn't that sound like fun? Sea breeze, the sights and sounds and smells! AND - the whole beach is your litterbox! Yup, I'd definitely go to the beach!

2. I'd make Mommy open a squillion cans of tuna into a huge bowl and I would dive in with no fear of yakking it all back up after stuffing myself stupid!

3. I would be a bird for a day. I'd like to see what all this flying fuss is about. I'd also land near our windows and drive my siblings crazier than they already are!

That was fun! I still have a few more Meme's to do later this week. I have to let them percolate!

It's The Nickname Meme!

Sweet Ariel tagged me for this fun little Meme!

Here are the rules : Post a link to the kitty who tagged you, and post the rules on your blog. Tag several kitties, and write a comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged. I wrote about this once before here, but here they are again!

My name was destined to start with a "P." There was no doubt about this because Puff and Powder were already here and I had a "One Who Came Before" sister-kitty named Payton who was very dear to the family. My name had to start with "P" and when my Daddy first spotted this feral, skinny, sorry-looking kitty in the alley behind his apartment (me!!!), the "I wonder what I can name this kitty" had started - even before my Mommy knew I existed. If you click on my Catster badge you can learn a lot more about this. Anyway, as I started to trust Daddy and it became apparent that I was going to join the family, Mommy and Daddy started to try out names. Here are some examples that did not pass the test - Pumpkin (please, me?, Pumpkin?), Posey, Pandora, Pella, Piker, Puck, Peeker and Pouilly (pronounced Poo-Lay) 'cause that's my Mom's favorite wine. Pouilly almost was my name, but Mommy did NOT want my nickname to be "Poo." Parker seemed to fit and I would look at Daddy when he said it. Parker it was - but here's the thing a lot of you kitties don't know. My name is pronounced like this...."Paaaakha." Why? Because of a little girl who lived in the apartment next to my Daddy. She was fascinated by me and always would point at me and say "Paaaaaaaakha!" It stuck. And I am glad it did, cause if you knew me in real life, I am a Paaaaaaaaakha. Here's the household nicknames -

Formerly Feral Friday - Where'd I Go?

This is me when Mommy's computer acts up. See how I look all concerned and assaulted by the bad words Mommy used all at the same time?

On Wednesday night Mommy's laptop acted like it was wading through molasses in January. It took many minutes to go from one page to another. Yesterday Mommy took her laptop to where she hunts during the day and the beloved "tech geeks" figured out that her Norton Anti-Whatever was acting bad. Bye-Bye Norton Anti-Whatever! Now we have a new type of protection and we seem to be back to a speed that keeps Mommy from using all of those bad words - and trust me kitties, she knows a lot and isn't afraid to use them! I had to go upstairs and protect my little kitty ears! And what a bad time for all of that to happen! I've been tagged for Memes, Diamond got tagged for a Meme and I don't like visiting my friends and not being able to leave a comment. So...I am going to let Diamond Doggie do his Meme from The Furry Kids first. He's been so excited about doing a Meme that I am afraid if I don't let him, he's gonna' have an accident in the house!

1.) I would be the king of the remote control! I'd wait till Daddy was watching the Bears or Cubs or Bulls...and at a crucial point in the game I would switch the channel to Animal Planet !

2.) Butt Sniffing. I LOVE it! I would like to be able to sniff all of the kitties butts with no fear of the Paw of Death - the Paw of Death hurts...a lot...

3.) I think I would like to have had, um..."relations"with a girl doggie, I hear that it's nice, but I can only dream about that since I was "snipped" even before I came to my forever home!
