Life Is Good Award

Life is good kitties!
The great kitties over at The Kool Kitty Krew gave my Mommy an award a little while ago and we would like to say thank you to them - I'm going to let Mommy answer these questions -
1. What would your prefect day consist of?
Getting up to a great cup of coffee and spending time playing with the kids. A little gardening, a little cooking and topping it off with a great dinner with good friends!
2. How would you describe yourself if you were an item of clothing?
A vintage T-Shirt, and a great pair of old soft Levis.
3. What hobbies are you currently working on?
Improving my photography skills on the kitties.
4. Walking in the woods in wellies or bare foot on the beach?
I can't choose - both are lovely things to do.
5. Have you ever hugged or sang to a tree?
Oh yes, absolutely!
6. Growing your own veggies or nipping to the supermarket?
A combination of the two, I love farmer's markets! But I grow some great herbs!
7. Have you found anyone exciting in your family tree?
No, I'm adopted and since it was a long time ago I know nothing of my biological "tree".
8. Slap up meal in a posh restaurant or fish ‘n’ chips from the wrapper?
I like posh.
9. Which element do you most resonate with, Earth, Air, Fire or water?
Water, I'm all about the water.
10. Do you believe in fairies?
I do!
Wow Mommy...that. was. fascinating...zzzzzzzz.....

The Rudy Report - The Herman Edition

This is our wonderful pal Herman. Sometimes he feels sick. That's because he has Feline Leukemia. And let me tell you, Feline Leukemia sux. Majorly. But the great news about Herman is that he found a forever home with Miss Karen Jo, who has been the best Mommy to him that a kitty could ever wish for. She has been so good about making sure that whatever Herman needs to feel better, he has it. And that's what being a good cat 'rent is all about. No matter what it is to make certain that we are enjoying the very best life we can, given our circumstances, well, we shall have it. And Miss Karen Jo is doing just that very thing for our pal Herman, she's seeing that even with a yucky, terrible disease, Herman is enjoying every day to his fullest.
So, here's the cool thing, Herman gave me an award - yup, ME - RUDY! of The Rudy Report...me, RUDY who has no mats and smells like a summer breeze off of the Rocky mountains. And has clean ears, and clipped clawrz and a shaved hiney...but I digress...
Herman has bestowed an award to me - the Mood Ring Award!
I received it because I am an awesome Orange boy even if Tiffany, my lovely groomer, stole a lot of my orange furs. So I really want to thank Herman for thinking of me in my time of distress.
All of us in O Hi O are sending our purrs to Herman and to his 'rent. It's so hard to have such an awful disease like FK, but it shows what the power of love is all about - caring for those who are sick, but at the same time, seeing past the illness to the core and soul of a sweet feline like Herman.
So today, my Rudy report is about reminding all of us, all we ever need is love. Srsly.

I Rock!

I love those Kattonic Cats!
I also love Eric and Flynn!
They think I rock and passed this great award on to me. Well I think they rock too! Thanks to all of you wonderful kitties for thinking of me! There are no rules to this award except to pass it on to 5 other bloggers. Since I am a rebel I am breaking the rules and passing it on to all of you because you all rock!
Here's something that does not rock.
Diamond and the snow. Hopefully by tonight it will all be gone! But Diamond may stay. He's pretty nice for a dog. Just don't tell him I said that.

Photo Hunt - Jiggly

It was almost too easy, when I think of jiggly...well my belly fits the bill.

I was honored with this award by the lovely felines at Four Crazy Cats! I am late in thanking them - but I am so happy that they thought of me!

The Superior Scribbler Award was started by The Scholastic Scribe to celebrate their 200th post. To read more about the Superior Scribbler Award click HERE.

Each SS is asked to visit the post which explains the award and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List.
Each SS must post these rules on his/her blog.
I would like to pass this award on to the following serious scribblers:
You and you and you and you and you!

Trees and Awards and Secrets - Oh My!

Well, well well...what is all of this? There has been a flurry of busy here in O Hi O and I have even snagged an award! Little ol' me, the humblest kitty you have ever met has been honored with the "Kreativ Blogger" award - and guess what? Three kitty blogs gave it to me! A Trifecta!!! W00T!
If you haven't met Katie yet you need to. She's a hoot and she is the owner of 2 humans over in Minnysoda. She was the first glamourpuss to pass the award to moi. Then there is the gang of nine over at Cat of Nine Tales - they thought of me too! Their humans have such a wonderful way of spinning a yarn - and there is nothing better than a human who can spin a good yarn - I love yarn, but that's a whole other story. Then there is Tygana who just put the cherry on top of my most wonderful award. Tygana is a wonderful mancat who seems to have a great big heart and wants to see all kitties happy and healthy. I like that in a mancat. TRIPPER - ARE YOU LISTENING??? Here are the rules of this award:
1. Copy and paste the Kreativ Blogger picture onto your blog.
2. Thank the kitty who gave you the award and post a link to their blog.
3. Write 7 things about you we do not know.
4. Choose 7 other bloggers to award.
5. Link to those 7 other bloggers.
6. Notify your award winning bloggers.
Rules, rules rules...sigh.
7 things about me that you don't know...is that possible? My life is an open book. Let's give it a try, shall we?
1. I really do know my name. When the 'rents call me, or talk about me when I am in earshot - I respond. If they say the name of one of my sibs, pfffft - no response.
2.If Mommy buys stinky goodness that is shredded, I will only lick the gravy and leave the rest. I am a stinky goodness snob.
3. My bottom front toofies are crooked. But they work just fine, thank-you.
4. Even though I have 2 different colored eyes, my hearing is great!
5. I am the youngest kitty here in O Hi O. I'm the baby, gotta' love me!
6. I don't really mind going to the VET. I have even been known to flirt while I am there!
7. I'm probably one of the happiest, care-free kitties around. I've really never been in a bad mood!
As for picking 7 kitties to pass this award to? Well I am a rebel! I tag You! And You! And You too! HA!
So what else is going on? Well, I can report that Mommy went out in the freezy weather and stood in line at the post office and mailed a lot of stuff yesterday, but the most important thing she mailed was our Secret Paws package! There is some kitty out there who got some very awesome "Parker-approved" goodies. And let me tell ya', there was some loot in there that I would have liked to have kept - but the 'rents reminded me that Santa is keeping a very close eye on my behavior! I need to stay on his good side, which is why I have not messed with the big tree...much.
Our trees are up and decorated and they provide a great deal of entertainment to all of us. And the tree skirts are perfect for taking little kitty-naps. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
Have a groovy Sunday - I will be in the kitchen if you need me. Mommy has some kind of chicken recipe that I am snoopervising. My work here is never done!

Oops I Ate It Award

Does this look like a paw that would steal food?
Honestly kitties, I have never lifted a morsel off of the 'rents plates. I have been known to sit politely and look hungry and cute while they eat and this usually earns me a taste or two of their meal.
My good buddies over at Telsa and Hansel and Benny's blog passed on this award to me!

Here are the rules to this award: "When accepting this award, you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans were not watching. If you have never stolen any food, you must have been a really good pup (pup?!?!) You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward! Next add the logo of this award to your blog." I'm supposed to pass this on, but being so late in the game, I'm tagging everyone who has not played.
I hope you have a great Monday - and if you are lucky enough to be celebrating Labor Day with your beans, have a wonderful time with them!
ps - I entered the Calendar Cat Contest - did you?

Seu blog e um sonho

The lovely Tristan and Crikey, the boys across the pond, Eric and Flynn and everyone over at Millie's House gave a lovely award to me! (It's at the bottom of this post)
Seu blog e um sonho, means "Your Blog is a Dream." How dreamy! As with most awards, this one has a few rules: Give seven tips on beauty, and pass it on to seven blogs.
~The number 1 most important beauty tip I know is keeping a clean machine!
~ Never miss a nap, looking tired is not pretty!
~ Chasing your siblings keeps you in shape
~ Allow that 'rents to groom you, excess fur is so last year!
~ Make the "love eyes" whenever possible.
~ 10 to 12 small meals a day + treats assures that you won't look like those "she oughta' eat a sandwich" girls on the catwalks.
~ Keep a sunny, funny personality, it really is your best feature!
I think I am the last kitty in the blogosphere to do this, but if I am wrong and you haven't done this yet - then TAG! You are it!

Photo Hunters - With Awards

Hi Kitties! It's Saturday! Yay!

The theme for this weeks Photo Hunters is purple!

Johnny Jump Ups are one of Mommy's favorite poseys!
Speaking of Moms - look what we got!
That's right kitties! Jodi, Skitto and Peanut passed this great award on to us, and I have to agree, my Mommy is one of the best Cat Moms out there! I may be a little biased since she is in control of my Temptations allotment, but her lap is warm and she is an excellent brusher of my furs, massager of my toes and all-around good egg! Thanks Jodi, Skitto and Peanut!

We were also honored by the Creek Cats! This is such a cool award!

The aims of this award:
* As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging.
* To seek the reasons why we all love blogging!
* Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it
* Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
* Answer the award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
* Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
* Don’t forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.

I did this a looooong time ago you can read why I blog right here. And now I am going to tag Pinky and Ash - the Fine Felines!

I hope you have an extra-smoochable Saturday!

Love,

Photo Hunters - Triangles With Some Awards!

My woofies pals the Army of Four gave us this great award! I like these woofies - they live in Kansas and have exciting adventures when they go out for their walks. Here's what the award is all about - "These pink roses are given to friends, bringing them a sweet and fruitful day. Those who receive these roses as a gift need to pass them on to ten friends to show them you care. And to those who received the roses, it's to show you are never forgotten." Thanks Ao4 - I'm passing this award on to all my bloggy pals 'cause I care about all of you!

I wanted to show you this lovely award! My pals Hansel and Benny gave it to me - I am so happy that their sister Telsa is back home with them!

Roses are such pretty flowers! But speaking of pretty, look at me and my triangle ears!

I think this photo hunt was made for kitties and our ears, don't you?

Photo Hunt - Yellow + Awards!

Isn't this a great award?
Diamond Doggie received this groovy award from Titus. Titus is a great woofie pal! And we also received it from Millie's House! It's especially for Rudy who has been on his bestest behavior!
Diamond says thank-you!

Rudy says thank-you too!

AND...
The most lovely gals at Marks Mews also gave me an award! Isn't this cool?

The rule is that we have to list six things that make us happy.

1. Our 'rents

2. Our happy home

3. Our good health

4. Treats and Food and 'Nip!

5. Our deck

6. All of you!

Here's a yellow flower from last Spring!

Easy Like Sunday - Awards

I know I've been a little shy about showing you how my BooBoo is doing.
But this week, I am going to show you!

Just not today!
Instead, I'm going to show you an award that was given to me last week! I'm very honored that Camie's Kitties and Grrreta thought of me - what a great award!
Here is the meaning and rules of this award:"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

We pass this along to everyone, all of our blogging friends are charming!

Saturday was a beautiful day in O Hi O. Mommy still has a cold, but Daddy decided it was time to start a tomato patch. So while Mommy let us out on our deck and kept her eye on us and sneezed and wiped her Rudolph-the-Red-Nosed-Reindeer nose, Daddy dug up his patch in preparation for the tomatoes that he has started in the house. We saw our squirrel friends Tick and Tock watching Daddy with great interest. I hope for their sake that they don't think he's planting tomatoes for them!

Tuesday Toesies!

I received the "Honest Weblog Award" from Team Tabby
The "rules" for this award and meme are as follows:"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows who he or she is. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including ones who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on! "Here is our brilliant content, enjoy!
Hoo-boy, honesty, OK, here it goes...
1. My Mommy is very worried about the fact that my Boo-boo is not healing faster than what it is, I am afraid that I might have to go to the VET's
2. I've never told anyone about this, but my bottom teeth are uneven, it's a birth defect - Mommy says it gives me character!
3. Powder has gained a whole pound since November of last year, she's getting both fat AND sassy!
4. When we get our stinky goodness treats I have to be escorted to the other room when I am finished with my bowl, if that doesn't happen I bully the other kitties and I steal theirs!
5. Sometimes I will sit in front of the litter box for a full 5 minutes and just stare at it before I will use it.
6. Of the 4 kitties that live here, I am the one who must always be where Daddy is. I adore him!
7. Mommy and Daddy are planning a vacation in May and are going to leave us for a week and even though we have a great live-in sitter Mommy is stressing about leaving us...
8. I'd be willing to bet that in July Mommy will be complaining about how hot it is, even though I am freezing my tail off in February!
9. We all miss Kansas City. Even though we are blessed with what and where we are now.
10. It's a bad idea to walk all over the tax papers when the beans are trying to do their taxes.
Please consider yourself tagged if you would like to play along!

Oh, and since it's Tuesday, I thought I'd give you a little toesies!

Smoochies!

February 22, 2009

It's Sunday...

...and I am feeling blue. Miss Peach found out that Normie, a sweet little kitty that would visit us, left for the Bridge. Normie and his family did not blog, but they would visit and leave such nice comments. I send gentle purrs and prayers to them. I know Normie is going to be a wonderful angel at the Bridge, and when it is my turn, I look forward to meeting him.

My Boo-boo is still healing, but it is taking a long time because sometimes I scratch it and it has to start to heal all over again. It is in a bad place to heal. Mommy keeps it clean and there is no infection. But she still worries and worries about it.
Eric and Flynn and The Creek Cats were so sweet to pass this lovely award along to me. Thank-you so much, you kitties make my day too! I would like to pass it on to Sunny, Honey P. Sunshine and Cory. All of these kitties make my day!

Cat's Eye was so kind to think of me and give me the Love Ya' award, thanks boys! I'm passing this one on to every kitty cause I love all of you!
Be sweet to everyone today kitties, even if it's cold and snowy outside and sad things happen, remember that love is all we need!

Awards Day

Puff has found that the top of the recliner is a very comfy spot to nap.
She's sort of claimed it as her "spot" in the living room.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................
Me and my boo-boo don't get to nap up there, she's a bit of a hog about it. Sigh...
But I have good news!
My good and oh so sweet pal Mickey, my great friend Hansel, cutie pies Milo and Alphie and my buddies Shadow, Molly, Trooder and Jake passed this Friends (Love Ya') Award to me!
LOVE YA "award winner... These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers.
Three Country Cats were so kind to pass this great award on to me!

If you are reading this I tag you! And You! And You!
Thanks to all of my good friends for thinking of me. It makes me very happy! Tomorrow I am going to let you see how my boo-boo is healing. It isn't very pretty and I am kind of sad that my smoochable face is still, well, all boo-boo-ie. And that orange, mat-ridden, rat-brother of mine has still not said he is sorry for doing it.

"What? Why should I? She's just a big whiney-cat!?!"
