The Rudy Report

Greetings from O Hi O kitties! It's Me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! Oh sun, lovely sun, you were so nice to come and visit me. Everywhere I looked there were great sun puddles for me to soak up. I took full advantage, even when I was snoopervising Mommy cooking in the kitchen. I snoozed in a big sun puddle next to Mommy while she was computer-hunting on our molasses computer, I snoozed in another sun-puddle next to Daddy while he read the newspaper. I hope this means that Spring has moved in and all of the cold and gray weather is going to leave us alone.
There are flowers popping up and Mommy started to plan her herb garden. Daddy planted some catnip seeds in a big pot. We hope to enjoy some fresh 'nip on the deck this summer. There are signs of new life everywhere I look. That's the best part about this time of year. New life, hope and sunshine. A kitty like me could not ask for more. Well, maybe a little more. How about some of that chicken in the fridge Mommy?

Tattle-Tail Tuesday

So kitties, I like to snoopervise in the kitchen. What am I staring at? What has my full attention? Why am I honed in on the stove?

There's bacon going in that frying pan! The 'rents are all excited about the fresh tomatoes from Daddy's garden, but me? It's all about the bacon! I hope I get some!

Tattle Tail Tuesday

Between the wrapping (and whapping) of gifts, the mailing of cards, the decorating of the trees, the baking of goodies and a general case of the holiday busys, I am putting my paw down and insisting that the 'rents pay a little more attention to me. And if that requires me to get up on the table and give them the hairy eyeball, well that's what I have to do! I am multitasking here because I am also practicing my "meatloaf-cat pose".

Pretty impressive, eh?

Trees and Awards and Secrets - Oh My!

Well, well well...what is all of this? There has been a flurry of busy here in O Hi O and I have even snagged an award! Little ol' me, the humblest kitty you have ever met has been honored with the "Kreativ Blogger" award - and guess what? Three kitty blogs gave it to me! A Trifecta!!! W00T!

If you haven't met Katie yet you need to. She's a hoot and she is the owner of 2 humans over in Minnysoda. She was the first glamourpuss to pass the award to moi. Then there is the gang of nine over at Cat of Nine Tales - they thought of me too! Their humans have such a wonderful way of spinning a yarn - and there is nothing better than a human who can spin a good yarn - I love yarn, but that's a whole other story. Then there is Tygana who just put the cherry on top of my most wonderful award. Tygana is a wonderful mancat who seems to have a great big heart and wants to see all kitties happy and healthy. 7 things about me that you don't know...is that possible? My life is an open book. Let's give it a try, shall we?
1. I really do know my name. When the 'rents call me, or talk about me when I am in earshot - I respond. If they say the name of one of my sibs, pfffft - no response.
2.If Mommy buys stinky goodness that is shredded, I will only lick the gravy and leave the rest. I am a stinky goodness snob.
3. My bottom front toofies are crooked. But they work just fine, thank-you.
4. Even though I have 2 different colored eyes, my hearing is great!
5. I am the youngest kitty here in O Hi O. I'm the baby, gotta' love me!
6. I don't really mind going to the VET. I have even been known to flirt while I am there!
7. I'm probably one of the happiest, care-free kitties around. I've really never been in a bad mood!
As for picking 7 kitties to pass this award to? Well I am a rebel! I tag You! And You! And You too! HA!
So what else is going on? Well, I can report that Mommy went out in the freezy weather and stood in line at the post office and mailed a lot of stuff yesterday, but the most important thing she mailed was our Secret Paws package! There is some kitty out there who got some very awesome "Parker-approved" goodies. And let me tell ya', there was some loot in there that I would have liked to have kept - but the 'rents reminded me that Santa is keeping a very close eye on my behavior! I need to stay on his good side, which is why I have not messed with the big tree...much.
Our trees are up and decorated and they provide a great deal of entertainment to all of us. And the tree skirts are perfect for taking little kitty-naps. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
Have a groovy Sunday - I will be in the kitchen if you need me. Mommy has some kind of chicken recipe that I am snoopervising. My work here is never done!

It's The Most Wonderful Time...

While we kitties napped on the guests, Daddy was out working his holiday magic on the outside of the house. He got a lot of decorating done - but there is more to come!

I hear the tree will be coming soon!

Easy Like Sunday

So, it's chilly outside and Mommy thought it would be good to get out the ol' Crock Pot and make a huge batch of short ribs. So who steals my snoopervising spot? You got it! The Puffster. I have to be faster, snoopervising foods is MY job!

I am pleased to report that the 'rents baked and cooked all day yesterday and I got to watch the whole production. They made two types of soup, some dip and the cookies. Three more days of being the best kitty in the world and then SANTA CLAWS visits! WooHoo!The finished product. I approve.

Kitchen Snoopervising - My Special Spot

I was asked to show my "spot" In the kitchen. Here I am getting in position. It is also where our food is (we eat up high so Diamond Doggy can't steal our food).

Our kitchen in K.C. was very, very small. Here in O Hi O I don't get stepped on while the cooking happens! Tonight the menu has shrimp (!) Lemme' take that "getting stepped on" part back. I have a weakness for shrimp, so I might have to get a little closer. I'll let you know if I still have a tail tomorrow!
