The Rudy Report - NOT!

Perfectly Parker Has Returned

Well Howdy kitties - Parker here, NOT Rudy. I am takin' back my blog for a day to tell you how I am doing. How am I doing you ask? I am fine! I am gorgeous, I am cute and full of smoochies. I am interesting and playful. I may or may not have gained a little weight as a result of all of the stinky goodness that has been used to get my pesky brother to eat. I also may have earned the nickname of Hoover since I hate to see food go to waste. I just wanted you all to know that I am still the author of this blog and I plan on keeping my beautiful puss in front of the camera as often as I can in 2011. That's my resolution. And that orange menace in the background? Pay him no mind, he's just there for decoration!
For those of you like me who have to watch your Mommy go back to work after a great week of vacation, I feel your pain. But the 'rents have to do that, someone has to hunt for the green papers, and I am glad it's not me!

It's The Nickname Meme!

Sweet Ariel tagged me for this fun little Meme!
Here are the rules : Post a link to the kitty who tagged you, and post the rules on your blog. List your real name, how you got your real name, nicknames you like/tolerate, and nicknames you wish your humans would stop calling you. Tag several kitties, and write a comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged. I wrote about this once before here, but here they are again!
My name was destined to start with a "P." There was no doubt about this because Puff and Powder were already here and I had a "One Who Came Before" sister-kitty named Payton who was very dear to the family. My name had to start with "P" and when my Daddy first spotted this feral, skinny, sorry-looking kitty in the alley behind his apartment (me!!!), the "I wonder what I can name this kitty" had started - even before my Mommy knew I existed. If you click on my Catster badge you can learn a lot more about this. Anyway, as I started to trust Daddy and it became apparent that I was going to join the family, Mommy and Daddy started to try out names. Here are some examples that did not pass the test - Pumpkin (please, me?, Pumpkin?), Posey, Pandora, Pella, Piker, Puck, Peeker and Pouilly (pronounced Poo-Lay) 'cause that's my Mom's favorite wine. Pouilly almost was my name, but Mommy did NOT want my nickname to be "Poo." Parker seemed to fit and I would look at Daddy when he said it. Parker it was - but here's the thing a lot of you kitties don't know. My name is pronounced like this...."Paaaakha." Why? Because of a little girl who lived in the apartment next to my Daddy. She was fascinated by me and always would point at me and say "Paaaaaaaakha!" It stuck. And I am glad it did, cause if you knew me in real life, I am a Paaaaaaaaakha. Here's the household nicknames -
Snugglebottom (me)
Airplane Ears (me)
ParkerPussPorkyPie (guess!)
PuffPuffSnuggleUp (Puff)
Puffster Lovester (Puff)
PuffitupPuffitup (Duh, Puff)
PowderWowder (Powder)
IttyBittySweetieWeetie (Powder)
LittleGirlyGirlKittyBumps (Sigh...Powder)
Rudy Tootie Fresh and Fruity (Rudy)
The Ruuuudster (Rudy)
RudyDoodyWhere'sYourFoody (Sheesh, Rudy)
SugarPieHoneyBunchYouKnowThatILoveYouuuuuu (whoever is in Mommy's arms)
I tag anykitty who hasn't done this yet!

If that's a treat you're holding, I don't care what you call me, just call me, I'll be there!
