Tattle Tail Tuesday - Powder

It's me, Powder - I know I don't say much, but today is different. I have some stuff to talk about! Today this bloggie is MINE!

I LOVE this tree! And I want it to stay in the house. I heard the 'rents talking about taking it back outside in a few days - NO NO NO! Leave it here, it's smells so good and it's a great hidey place from that Orange Menace! Please don't take my tree away! This tree is MINE!
My Auntie Lois got this ball for Diamond. Well, I'm here to tell you Auntie Lois, this ball is MINE! It's a little big for me to put the bitey on, but I love to smooch it and roll it around - so Diamond, tough noogies, the ball is MINE!
Santa left a lot of Stinky Goodness in our socks. I want eveyone to know that I love Santa! Santa and all of the Stinky Goodness is MINE!
So, is all of this clear? The blog, the tree, the ball, Santa and all of the Stinky Goodness...MINE! Don't make me go Gangsta' on you!

The Rudy Report - Holiday Edition

Hey there kitties, it's me, Rudy-Tootie, with the holiday edition of the Rudy Report!

I love Santa! He was so generous with all of us, he stuffed our stockings and he filled our bowls with stinky goodness. I was a good boy. I sat next to my calico sisters and never, ever whapped them while our stockings were being emptied.

MMMmm - my favorite! Thanks Santa!

Here we are all enjoying our Christmas Dinner, it was delish! And after dinner there were many naps, and after that the whapping and box jumping and putting the bitey on my toys started!
Kitties, I don't know about you, but I think that a holiday that has real trees come inside, stockings with your name on them that gets filled with goodies - and - at the same time your 'rents get to stay home from their hunting place - well, that holiday is the best in my little kitty book!
Well, I'm off to whap a ball or a fake mousie, or a sibling...oops! Hee-Hee!
This is Rudy signing off - Peace out!

Santa Was Very, Very Good To Me...

Holy Cod! Santa really must have thought I was a very good kitty. All of this loot was in my stocking! And there's even more goodies all over the house! Daddy says that he'll be finding our toys all over creation - we had quite a play-fest yesterday that may or may not have involved the whapping of toys under heavy appliances. Mommy is home on vacation for the rest of the year and we have really been enjoying the extra time with her.
There's so much to show you, so much to share, but today we are going to rest and take some whaps, er, ah, naps on Mommy!
Have a smoocherific Boxing day!

A Most Magical Night!

These are some random photos of our home this holiday. We want to wish you a warm and safe Christmas full of love and laughter and toys and treats and laps.
Give thanks for all we have and say a prayer for all of the kittes and other creatures who do not enjoy the good fortune that we do.
If Santa could find a loving home for all of them, I'd be happy to give up all of my Christmas toys and treats 'cause that would be the greatest gift ever.

Smoochies to all of you - your friendship is a great and cherished gift.

Secret Paws!

Last week the man in the long bloo underwear delivered our Secret Paws package! It was from those very cool kittes at The Cat Realm! We are so excited! And before we could play with any of the toys, or eat any treats, Mommy took them and said "not 'till Christmas"! THE NERVE!
We want to thank our buddies for a great package - we can't wait 'till Christmas to enjoy everything.
Mommy started her vacation today - it really is the most wonderful time of the year, we have her home till next year!
Smoochies!

Tattle Tail Tuesday

Kitties, I realize I look very guilty here, with the being on the table, the whapping of the pen, etc. BUT the real story is that I was helping Mommy with her grocery shopping list...yeah, that's it, I was helping with the list...heh-heh-heh...

Kenya

Back when we lived in Kansas City, Mommy volunteered at Wayside Waifs, Kansas City's largest humane society. The cat adoption area is where Mommy spent most of her time. Kenya is now there looking for a forever home and perhaps a chance at appearing on Biggest Loser!

In Memory of My Friend

Princess - April 15th, 1991 - December 17th, 2009
On of my very sweetest friends in the Blogosphere earned her Rainbow Bridge wings yesterday. Dear gentle Princess (Prinnie) was 18 and a 1/2 years young. She joined her angel brother Caesar who left for the Bridge in January of 2008. Prinnie leaves behind her wonderful, loving bean family and a great little kitty brother Pierro.
Godspeed Prinnie dear, I will miss you very much. Someday, we will meet at the Bridge.
Smoochies to heaven's newest angel.

Tattle Tail Tuesday

Between the wrapping (and whapping) of gifts, the mailing of cards, the decorating of the trees, the baking of goodies and a general case of the holiday busys, I am putting my paw down and insisting that the 'rents pay a little more attention to me. And if that requires me to get up on the table and give them the hairy eyeball, well that's what I have to do! I am multitasking here because I am also practicing my "meatloaf-cat pose".
Pretty impressive, eh?

The Rudy Report

Yo yo yo kitties, this is Rudy, with your Rudy Report. I did not have the best of weekends - there was an all out war on the mat on my butt. I did not want it messed with. The 'rents had other ideas. They tried to get it with the evil, wicked clippers - that was unacceptable and I ran away. Then they tried to use the Furminator - some progress, but then I ran away. Then Mommy waited 'till I was all sleepy and relaxed and she started to pet me and sweet talk me and give me skritches and the next thing I knew she had taken the scissors and poof! She got it out! 'Rents are sneaky, remember that kitties! I do have to admit that it feels better, but I did not give my permission for her to do that!
After the fun of grooming, the weekend was spent making fudge. Mommy made about 12 pounds of it to take to work and share. That's fine with me, none of us can eat it anyway. Well, Daddy can and she is keeping some at home for him to enjoy.
It's such a great time of year - we have trees to mess with and company to meet and lots of good things happening in the kitchen - I hope your Monday is more like a weekend and your fur has no mats!

Tattle Tail Tuesday - On Myself!

Yes, I know I have many, many toys, and 'nip, and scratching posts and big trees with whappy things. But sometimes in the glow of the Christmas tree there is nothing like a good rug-scratch to get Mommy's undivided attention!

The Rudy Report

Ciao kitties! It's me, Rudy, with the Rudy report. As you can see, I have been busy dreaming that I am Supercat! It's no dream, I really AM Supercat! Parker: "Only in your dreams you silly orange menace!"

What is disturbing is that this Santa fellow has been messing with my little kitty-head. He's everywhere! And he keeps telling me "SHHHhhhh!" He's SO whappable.

I really ought to let him have it, but there's a rumor around here that he's keeping some type of list. A list that sorts out the good kitties from the bad kitties. Good kitties get goodies in their stockings. Bad kitties get a stocking in their goodies. Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! I made a joke!
Speaking of things that make me snort milk out of my nose, check this out. If you don't get a little chuckle from this, well, you may need a funny-bone transplant. Keep your sense of humor today kitties and have a great Monday!
ps - If you have Blogger and haven't updated your...oh I don't know what it's called, but it's the area where you make your new posts - anyway Mommy updated ours a few days ago and everything is do much easier that it used to be! This is a KSA (Kitty Service Announcement) from the Rudester!

Trees and Awards and Secrets - Oh My!

Well, well well...what is all of this? There has been a flurry of busy here in O Hi O and I have even snagged an award! Little ol' me, the humblest kitty you have ever met has been honored with the "Kreativ Blogger" award - and guess what? Three kitty blogs gave it to me! A Trifecta!!! W00T!
If you haven't met Katie yet you need to. She's a hoot and she is the owner of 2 humans over in Minnysoda. She was the first glamourpuss to pass the award to moi. Then there is the gang of nine over at Cat of Nine Tales - they thought of me too! Their humans have such a wonderful way of spinning a yarn - and there is nothing better than a human who can spin a good yarn - I love yarn, but that's a whole other story. Then there is Tygana who just put the cherry on top of my most wonderful award. Tygana is a wonderful mancat who seems to have a great big heart and wants to see all kitties happy and healthy. I like that in a mancat. TRIPPER - ARE YOU LISTENING??? Here are the rules of this award:
1. Copy and paste the Kreativ Blogger picture onto your blog.
2. Thank the kitty who gave you the award and post a link to their blog.
3. Write 7 things about you we do not know.
4. Choose 7 other bloggers to award.
5. Link to those 7 other bloggers.
6. Notify your award winning bloggers.
Rules, rules rules...sigh.
7 things about me that you don't know...is that possible? My life is an open book. Let's give it a try, shall we?
1. I really do know my name. When the 'rents call me, or talk about me when I am in earshot - I respond. If they say the name of one of my sibs, pfffft - no response.
2.If Mommy buys stinky goodness that is shredded, I will only lick the gravy and leave the rest. I am a stinky goodness snob.
3. My bottom front toofies are crooked. But they work just fine, thank-you.
4. Even though I have 2 different colored eyes, my hearing is great!
5. I am the youngest kitty here in O Hi O. I'm the baby, gotta' love me!
6. I don't really mind going to the VET. I have even been known to flirt while I am there!
7. I'm probably one of the happiest, care-free kitties around. I've really never been in a bad mood!
As for picking 7 kitties to pass this award to? Well I am a rebel! I tag You! And You! And You too! HA!
So what else is going on? Well, I can report that Mommy went out in the freezy weather and stood in line at the post office and mailed a lot of stuff yesterday, but the most important thing she mailed was our Secret Paws package! There is some kitty out there who got some very awesome "Parker-approved" goodies. And let me tell ya', there was some loot in there that I would have liked to have kept - but the 'rents reminded me that Santa is keeping a very close eye on my behavior! I need to stay on his good side, which is why I have not messed with the big tree...much.
Our trees are up and decorated and they provide a great deal of entertainment to all of us. And the tree skirts are perfect for taking little kitty-naps. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
Have a groovy Sunday - I will be in the kitchen if you need me. Mommy has some kind of chicken recipe that I am snoopervising. My work here is never done!
Smoochies!

Puff and Powder's Day at the Vet

Puff and Powder got their geezer geriatric wellness checks from Dr. Joe yesterday. Getting them there is always so much fun. Puff was pretty OK about going in the PTU...Powder was an entirely different story. The 'rents had a pretty good game plan. First they closed the door between the kitchen and the living room. Then Mommy brought out a can of stinky goodness and started to call for us. We came a runnin' to the kitchen for an unexpected treat. While Mommy kept us busy, Daddy closed the doors between the hallway and the dining room and went to get 2 of our PTU's. He then quickly opened the hallway doors and slid in. That's when all of the fun started. Powder jumped from our food table and tried to escape. Too bad she's not big enough to open a door. Mommy grabbed her and had to give her a little scruff. Daddy held the PTU at an angle and Mommy sort of stuffed her inside. All of this happened with no scratches! YAY! Puff was slinking around the kitchen and dining room trying to be very, very small. Good plan, but it didn't work. Puff was picked up and put in her PTU without much of a fuss. The end result was a 7 minute drive to Dr. Joe's with a chorus of calico singing. Rudy and I stayed behind and gave ourselves a bath to calm our nerves. We were just glad it wasn't us going to see Dr. Joe. He's very nice and everything, but we just aren't the visiting type.

The gals didn't even have to wait in the waiting room. By the time Mommy checked them in, off to the exam room they went. Puff continued to try to be very, very small and slink away, but once again her plan was foiled. Dr. Joe poked and prodded and pressed and looked at her toofies and weighed her and gave her a rabies shot. Puff was pronounced VERY healthy for an 11 year old kitty and her toofies are perfect!
Powder was subjected to all of the same things once Mommy extracted her from her PTU. Dr. Joe had a few extra surprises up his sleeve for our littlest sister. Powder not only had a rabies shot, she got a steroid shot to see if it may help her "anxiety itching". You see, sometimes Powder gets so anxious she will scratch herself 'till she has a Boo-Boo. I've talked about her shyness and anxiety a lot and both Dr. Joe and our last VET the wonderful Dr. Sundahl have tried everything to make Powder more comfortable being Powder. We'll see if this helps. Powder got a great report - and her toofies are perfect as well. They even looked at our ::whispers:: poop! And they said that looked good! Beans are strange, aren't they? Puff and Powder were put back in their PTU's (they were thrilled to get back in them!) and Mommy gave the VET many green papers. The VET gave her Puff and Powder's report card and rabies tags and back in the car they went. After 7 more minutes of a calico chorus everyone was home. Powder went straight-away under the bed and Puff went directly to the litter box. Daddy said that the experience must have scared the, well you can just guess what he said.

I am glad that my sisters are in great health. I hope the shot helps Powder, she came out from under the bed and had a nice lunch. She took a nap on a radiator and was all lovey-dovey with Mommy. I guess all is forgiven and all's well that ends well.
Now let's get back to the business of getting ready for Santa!
