Parker Pie Speaks

Hey kitties - what's up? I'm feeling good enough to give you an update today. The radiator is warm and I have a belly full of Stinky Goodness. The 'rents are taking it easy today, so there is a lot of lap time in my future. I am in no pain and most of the time I just wander around the homestead and meow at the 'rents to give me food and treats. Most of the time it works - they are such suckers...

As you can see, I'm skinny as a super-model. I guess I could go to Hollywood and be a superstar with my own talkshow and I could star in movies - I should have gotten in touch with Puss-In-Boots, I bet I would have made a great leading lady...
Smoochies to all of you - I so very much appreciate your thoughts and comments and prayers. I also appreciate those of you who are displaying my Diabetes banner. Mommy appreciates it too - you see, she has Diabetes, not me. I know some of you kitties thought that I had it - but nope, at least I don't have that.

Parker Update

Hi kitties. I thought I'd give you a little update on how I am doing. Since it's getting chilly outside the fireplace is one of my favorite spots. It's warm and Daddy's chair is a wonderful spot to stay toasty. Puff likes to cat-nap in her ham-mick.

The fire makes me yawn-y and sleepy!

But the very best time is lap time. I have become quite the lap kitty. My days are filled with treats and stinky goodness and love from the 'rents. I'm quite content and am not in pain. My pretty blue eye is still quite pretty, but does not work, so I am hesitant about jumping up to high places and I have to think harder when I move from the floors to the bed or the couch or a lap.

I got a card from my psycho-handsome mancat Tripper. It was lovely.  It made my mommy leak from her eyes a little.

I feel all of the love and hugs and purrs from you. It makes me warm and happy. Thank you so much. We read your messages and we peek at your blogs - but much of our time is spent snuggling and enjoying our time together. We know how precious time is - no matter if we have weeks or months or years left together, we want to soak up the love and the happiness and store it all up for the future.

The Best Spot in the House

Come On Santa!

Rudy has found the perfect spot to wait for Santa Claws. He's hoping for a squillion cans of Stinky Goodness. His appetite and attitude have returned. We've even caught him giving himself baths! He's playing with the bows on the packages and he's got his tail up. Mommy and Daddy says that his improved health is the best present ever! We want to thank you on this Christmas Eve for all of your good thoughts and prayers for our little orange menace, er, ah, miracle!

Remember kitties, go to sleep early tonight, Santa is watching!

The Rudy Report

Hello there kitties! It's me! RUDY! with your Rudy Report! I am very happy to say that I am feeling 95% better and I have gained back some of the weight that that nasty bladder infection took from me. I like to spend my time recuperating on Daddy's lap. I'm eating and I am using the box and I am drinking lotsa' water from the bathroom tap (it tastes better there). The new food is OK and I really like getting the new food stinky goodness once a day. The sibs are liking the food and all is well in the dinnertime department. So, all in all, good news. I heard a rumor that I have to go back to see Dr. Joe on Thursday for a urine check-up, but I will choose to ignore that possibility 'till I see the PTU in the kitchen...
I want to say thank-you to every bean and every kitty and every woofie who prayed for me. I know that I was lucky and I know that even thought I had to stay at Dr. Joe's and get poked and prodded, the 'rents did the right thing by me. I just hope I never have to go through that again.

Formerly Feral Friday

Rudy would like to thank everykitty and bean who stopped by yesterday to wish him a Happy Birthday. We had a blast! Thank goodness for the weekend, we need to rest and recover from all of the fun food and friends that stopped by!
This formerly feral kitty needs a nap or two or ten!
I think Rudy still has his head stuck in a bowl of 'nip. He's such a wild child!

Woe Is Me...

...I could not pee!

I have a bladder infection...

But I am going to be fine, Dr. Joe said so!

First thing yesterday morning I was stuffed into the PTU and taken to see the very nice Dr. Joe. He listened to my heart and lungs and took my vitals. He squeezed me and said that I had swollen ::whispers:: anal glands! And then kitties he...he...he catheterized me! I cried, and then Mommy cried when I cried. It was good that he did that because I had blood in my pee and Dr. Joe knew exactly what to do! He expressed my ::anal glands:: and then he gave me two shots - one for the swelling so it would go down and one for the infection. The one he gave me for the infection means that I do not have to take any pills! He said I should be fine and feeling better very soon.

You know what helped me the most? Your purrs and prayers, I can report that they are as magical as the loving I am getting from Mommy and Daddy. I want to thank all of you for the very heartfelt wishes. I read every one of them and I want to say thank-you from the bottom of my little kitty heart.

I am feeling better, but not 100% yet. Cuddles and snuggles with Mommy and Daddy are helping a lot.

Secret Paws!

Last week the man in the long bloo underwear delivered our Secret Paws package! It was from those very cool kittes at The Cat Realm! We are so excited! And before we could play with any of the toys, or eat any treats, Mommy took them and said "not 'till Christmas"! THE NERVE!
We want to thank our buddies for a great package - we can't wait 'till Christmas to enjoy everything.
Mommy started her vacation today - it really is the most wonderful time of the year, we have her home till next year!

Candy Corn!

Peggy and her wonderful family were so sweet to send us this wonderful catnip toy! We all love it, except Puff kinda' hogs it. She has to take a nap sometime- then I am going to have my turn! Thank-you so much for thinking of us Peggy! We love you!

Thankful Thursday

Hi there, Powder here to tell you why today is thankful Thursday for me and my family here in O Hi O. Last week we were all very worried because Mommy had to have her insides checked to make sure that she was healthy. Everyone was so kind, sending purrs and prayers that she would be OK. You know what kitties? She is! We got the great news that everything is OK. We are so thankful that Mommy is B-9! W00-Hoo!

Saturday Caturday - Puff

Hi! Puff here to give you a Mommy update. We are all very grateful for all of the purrs and prayers for Mommy. Thanks from the bottom of our little kitty hearts! Those purrs and prayers are very powerful because Mommy is home and the doctor thinks that things look very promising! They won't know for certain for a few days but we are hopeful that the doctor is right! We have been busy with nursing duties around the clock. It's a good thing that there are four of us, we take shifts and that ensures that Mommy is never without one of us to keep her calm and relaxed while she recovers. Diamond has been a great nurse-woofie and will not leave her side. And Daddy? Well they don't make better beans than our Daddy, Mommy says that he is the best husband that a gal could ask for!
Things are getting back to normal here in O Hi O and we are glad for normal!

Formerly Feral Friday - Thank You!

Thanks to all of you who made my 8th birthday a very special one! As a result of all of your wonderful comments at my party, we raised $25.00 for A Lotta Love Pet Rescue! Mommy and Daddy's gift to me is that they are matching your $25.00 so that we are giving $50.00 to them!
Mommy is going out to the rescue next week to give them the money and she will take pictures so you can see what these great people are all about.
One last thing...Mommy says she has been "crazy busy" at her hunting place and feels bad that she has not helped me comment very much these last few weeks. I hope she can start helping me more in the near future - I miss stopping by and saying hi!

Mail Call For Diamond Doggie!

Thankful Thursday - Mommy Edition

Tuesday was a very stressful day for all of us. Mommy was in the hospital and Daddy was there with her the whole time. We were not allowed to go with them so we waited at home.

We watched out the window.
We watched by the table

We waited by the stairs.

We worried by the door.

Some of us waited by keeping the chair warm.

But late Tuesday night, they came home! Mommy was very tired and a little ouchy, but she is doing OK and the doctor thinks they got out what they needed to get out - all of it! They will not be sure for another 7-10 days, but the doctor sounded very positive and hopeful. Mommy feels so much better that she is going back to work today. Mommy and I want to say thank-you for all of the positive purrs and prayers. We know that they helped! I have been very busy being chief snuggle kitty - I really didn't leave Mommy's side for the whole time she was recovering. I think that today I am going to take some "me" time and play with my 'nip nanner. Maybe tonight I'll get some treats and play time with Mommy!
