The Rudy Report

Hello there kitties! It's me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! Still having to post just a little because we do not have our new laptop yet. The computer guy says that there is a big sale coming up and we should wait for it. So we are...sigh...
I stay busy by keeping fit on the scratching post, it's better than using the furniture and it seems to keep the 'rents happy. Speaking of happy, I am counting the sleeps until Saturday morning when I get to watch Miss Parker Pie get stuffed into the PTU for her annual shots in the hiney! HaHaHaHaHa!
Daddy was cooking HAMburgers on the grill this weekend, but he did not share with us. Something about them being too spicy - I just think he was being a HAMburger hog. Being the world class beggar that she is, Parker was relentless - so to make us all feel better, we all had some Temptations just to shut her up! Way to go Parker!
Have as good a Monday as you can, I'm going to leave you with a little adorable! Me!

The Rudy Report

Well, well, well...it's Monday and you know what that means! It's time for me - Rudy! - to give you the Rudy report. Except for freezy cold weather, a lot of snow and the beans being all busy with the painting of the living room, there's nothing new here in my little corner of O Hi O.

I think that you eat more when it's cold outside - I know that I do! I'm chowing down in this photo and I know that the camera adds a few pounds, but geez...maybe I need to slow down just a little!

You know what else? We are going to get more snow tonight!!!

If you listen closely, you can hear the 'rents crying in the background!

Me enjoying July

Hay, Hay Hay, whatdaya' say Kitties? It's me, Rudy, with the Rudy Report. Don't I look warm and happy in that photo? July was such a great month on the deck. Fresh 'nip and long naps with the warm breezes tickling my ungroomed furs. Ahhhh... that was the life!
Now there is no deck time, as a matter of fact, the 'rents turned on the fireplace this weekend! I have to admit that was pretty awesome. You know what else is awesome? Pork Chops! And when you get little tastes of Pork Chops in front of the fireplace, it almost makes you forget the deck in July. Almost...

Kitties, have a super Monday - if your 'rents had to go back to their hunting places today, snag their favorite spot on the couch and have a long nap. Before you know it, they'll be home and doling out Temptations to you. At least I hope that's what happens.

It's probably good that the weather is warmer and I get to go out on the deck and play more. I think I need to work on losing some of my furchin. You can hardly see my toesies when I sit down! Too bad I lost the phone number to Jenny!

Thursday 13 - Things I Have Thought About!

Hey - look at this! Does this mean I am smart?

Isn't that nice?!? Sultanfus and Guy said that my blog made them think! So they passed this award on to me! I am very flattered - thanks to you two wonderful kitties for recognizing me! AND, I get to pass it on to 5 other blogs, ones who make me think! Here's who make me think, Latte (I always think, "gosh, he's cute!"), The Furry Kids, E.G., Tazo and Titus (I wonder if they're really just us, only in Motown), and Tripper, 'cause he makes me wonder what I see in him sometimes...
So anyway, that got me thinking - "what do I think about?" I had to think about that...and...I thought of 13 things I think about! What a coincidence!
When I was a feral kitty I only thought about surviving . I don't think the same way anymore and I am glad that I don't! Sometimes I think about ways to ambush Powder and Puff - that's always good for a kitty chuckle or two. I don't do that very much, 'cause Mommy gets upset when I do it. I like to think about catnip a lot - I think about how excited I get when I hear Mommy shake the catnip tin and then I think about how fun it is to get stoned! Catnip makes me roll around and shake my head and run and squirm and wiggle and attack invisible birds...ahhh...I love it! I hope I never have to go to Detox! All of that catnip thinking made me think of eating! I think about eating a lot! As a matter of fact, I think that eating is my favorite pastime. I really eat as though I am still a feral kitty. I have had an inside home for a very long time, but there is something hardwired into my brain that tells me to eat as though I'll never get another meal. I guess that's just something that makes me me! Oh, here's someone I think about a lot - Daddy! Daddy rocks, he is my world, he is 'da man, he's my hero! He saved my life. When he comes into a room I chirp and give him my special love-eyes! Speaking of things I love to think about, here's another one - I love to think about eating Temptations! I don't think that they have made a flavor that I don't love! I also think quite a bit about the sun! Since we moved to O Hi O i seem to think about the sun more than actually seeing the sun and feeling the sun! It's kind of cloudy here. So another thing I think about is Springtime and I think about how much fun it will be to go out on our deck to enjoy the sun! I think a lot about grooming. Grooming is such an important part of a kitties life. I enjoy keeping a clean machine and while I am thinking about grooming, I also think about how much I enjoy the Furminator and the Zoom Groom when Mommy uses them on my furs! MMMmmmm, heaven! I think that the one thing that I think the most about is the love I feel everyday from my Mommy and Daddy. It's great to have enough to eat, it's wonderful to have fun with catnip, it's lovely to feel the sun on your fur and the fresh air on the deck. It rocks to get enough Temptations to make your tummy plump, and it's a riot to ambush your siblings! Getting groomed feels great and having all of the right tools makes it even nicer, but that love I always dream and think about? Without that love, the rest of it isn't worth a single thought!
That was fun. It's good to be a thinker, I think...

Movie Monday!

One of the super-fabulous gifts we received from Camie's Kitties was a MEGA pouch of Temptations in one of my favorite flavors - Chicken! I asked Mommy to take some photos of me with the pouch before we opened it. The best part was that I got to be the first to sample the yummy goodness! It is MY blog, after all!

OK, let's get down to business! I am ready to demonstrate the proper method of eating Temptations from Mommy's fingers. It's always a good idea not to miss and bite Mommy, it takes practice, but it's well worth the effort!
