My Psycho Valentine...

Since Mommy was in the hospital on Valentine's day, I did not get to open my wonderful Valentine's gift from my hubba-hubba tabby lover Tripper. He sent me a 'nip rainbow and a 'nip heart from Siamese Rescue!

I really loved both 'nip toys and the sentiment on the heart says it all!

Tripper, thank you so much! Just like a Kewpee hamburger, you make my heart go flippity-flop!

Formerly Feral Friday

I am hard on collars. I had a cute tabby collar for a little while, but I tore it up. Mommy was looking around for a new collar and she found a little shop called Rescue Paws Shoppe. They are a part of Etsy. Mommy loved the selections and she was happy that a % of their sales are donated to rescue groups for dogs and cats. I love my new collar - you can see a black version of it here since my Mommy is not good at taking close-up photos!
They have a blog too! Go and visit and say "hi". They seem like very nice kitties!
Back in my feral days, I never worried about what a collar looked like - I was too worried about making sure I had food and stayed safe.
I like it much better this way!

"Don't Hate Me 'Cause I'm Beautiful..."

Do I look crabilated? Good! 'cause I am! All of this going to the VET nonsense and Mommy getting sick stupidity has made me miss things! Important things! Do you know that on the day Mommy left for the hospital that I got a package? It's true, and it was a very special package from my psycho-valentine Tripper! Did I get to open it right away??? NO! I had to wait for days to open it, and then no-one took pictures! What's the world coming to?
AND I missed all of the cool Cat O Lympics coolness. I would have gotten the gold for the Mile Long Machine Clean...but alas...no go...
I'm also hearing that I have to go back and see Dr. Joe for a check-up next week. He's very nice and everthing, but I'd rather skip that whole UTI thing. It was no fun.
I hope that as the week goes on, my mood improves - and my photos!

The Rudy Report

Hey kitties, remember me, your ol' pal Rudy? It's been a while, hasn't it? Well, I am back and this is your official Rudy Report. Let's see, where did I leave off last we spoke??? Oh yeah, I was wondering if my butt looked big - some of you thought I looked like a Tribble! I guess at that angle I do! Since I last reported we had a multitude of "sux" at our house. First of all little Miss Perfectly Parker gave the 'rents a big scare with her hiney issues. She's fine now, but goes back to see Dr. Joe in a week for a check-up. The very next day, Mommy started to feel like "7 miles of bad road". She thought she had a cold - as it turned out she wishes all she had was a cold! This awful "New Mona" moved in to her chest and she had to leave us for 4 days to fight New Mona" in the hospital. No fun kitties, no fun at all. She came home last week but had to rest. Her resting meant that we kitties had to go to work. Nursing duty is a rough job, but we were up to the challenge. We all took shifts, Mommy was never without one of us purring on her. I'm glad she feels better now, she goes back to her hunting place today for the first time in almost 2 weeks. Mommy has never been away from her work for that long! Between me and you, I'm kinda' glad she's going back to work - she was getting a little grumpy.

Remember I told you that Daddy was painting the living room? Well ...he finished! I'm posing for you in the finished product. We like it, it's light and breezy. I'll show you more photos later. Now it's time for me to take a well-deserved nap. You know what kitties? I was a very, very good boy while Mommy was sick. It's true, I never chased any other kitty the whole time! I have a lot of catching up to do! HaHaHaHaHa!

Thankful Thursday

Hey kitties! Boy I sure miss all of you - the sweet notes you have been leaving for Mommy are great! I have good news! Mommy is home from her big fight with New Mona. She has to stay home with us until Monday, then she can go back to her hunting place.
All of us are on nursing duty, she needs us purring on her to make her recovery complete!
Maybe I can get back to blogging next week, but for right now, Mommy needs me!

I Misses Her Kisses...

First things first kitties...
I am fine! Thank you for your concern. I am sorry that I could not post, and probably won't be able to for a few more days. Mommy had to go to the hospital late Friday night. She had to go to fight New-Mona. From what I hear New-Mona is one tough cookie, but Mommy is getting the best of her and might be back home all victorious and stuff by tomorrow.
If I could figure out how to get to New-Mona's pillow, I would poop on it. Twice.
Daddy says we need to focus on getting Mommy back to feeling 100% better. He says we're great company, but he's lonesome for Mommy.
So are we Daddy, so are we...

Woe Is Me...

...I could not pee!

I have a bladder infection...

But I am going to be fine, Dr. Joe said so!

First thing yesterday morning I was stuffed into the PTU and taken to see the very nice Dr. Joe. He listened to my heart and lungs and took my vitals. He squeezed me and said that I had swollen ::whispers:: anal glands! And then kitties he...he...he catheterized me! I cried, and then Mommy cried when I cried. It was good that he did that because I had blood in my pee and Dr. Joe knew exactly what to do! He expressed my ::anal glands:: and then he gave me two shots - one for the swelling so it would go down and one for the infection. The one he gave me for the infection means that I do not have to take any pills! He said I should be fine and feeling better very soon.

You know what helped me the most? Your purrs and prayers, I can report that they are as magical as the loving I am getting from Mommy and Daddy. I want to thank all of you for the very heartfelt wishes. I read every one of them and I want to say thank-you from the bottom of my little kitty heart.

I am feeling better, but not 100% yet. Cuddles and snuggles with Mommy and Daddy are helping a lot.

Trouble....Oh, Trouble, Trouble, Trouble, Trouble, Trouble...

Oh kitties, I gots trouble...I started going to the litter boxes a lot last night and producing nothing for my troubles...
There's another wicked bad storm coming to O Hi O  AND I have to go and see the VET this morning...Mommy is worried sick about me. She gave me a dose of Cat-A-Lax last night, but it has not helped. Something has me blocked and if you want to know the truth, I'm OK with going to see Dr.Joe. I don't feel so hot.
Any extra purrs you have lying around sure would be appreciated...not being able to, well, you know...poop...kinda sux.
I still send all of you smoochies, after all, smoochies make the world go around!

The Rudy Report

Well, well, well...it's Monday and you know what that means! It's time for me - Rudy! - to give you the Rudy report. Except for freezy cold weather, a lot of snow and the beans being all busy with the painting of the living room, there's nothing new here in my little corner of O Hi O.

I think that you eat more when it's cold outside - I know that I do! I'm chowing down in this photo and I know that the camera adds a few pounds, but geez...maybe I need to slow down just a little!

You know what else? We are going to get more snow tonight!!!

If you listen closely, you can hear the 'rents crying in the background!

Winter Wonderland

Mommy says it's called a winter wonderland because we wonder why we live here...
We are dug out, it took a long time - and now the weather guy is saying that there is more on the way this week. I think we need to put snowsuits on Siegfried and Roy!

Snowbound!

Wow! Kitties, I have to tell you that here in in O Hi O, the vacation spot of the world, we have a blizzard. We are snowed in! The 'rents can't get out of the house! YAY! There are drifts all up and down our big street and our driveway. Looks like all of the big plans for shopping and errands and stuff will not be happening anytime soon. Daddy is still painting the living room and Mommy is using some words from my bad word list because she was supposed to go out and get some rugs and curtains and stuff to decorate when he was finished.

Thankful Thursday

You want to know what I am thankful for today? A little sun, the ability to be agile and that today is the last day of all of the painting in the living room. Life may be back to normal by Saturday. Oh! And I got a pretty new collar that I can't show you yet because the 'rents are too busy to put it on me...

Just Trying To Blend In...

So, here's what I've had to put up with. It's hard not to be able to snoopervise and it's harder not to have the living room to nap and birdwatch in. Puff is twitterpated 'cause she isn't able to nap in front of the fireplace in her ham-mick. Life as we know it is all cross-ways and wrong! Mommy says to be patient - right Mommy, we're cats, and we just oooooze patience...

We like the new color - it's a very light and breezy green. I just wish they'd hurry up and finish. Oh, did I mention the stinky paint smell? Why couldn't they buy tuna-scented paint? Is that too much to ask?

The Rudy Report

Well Hi-Dee Ho kitties, it's me, Rudy, with the Rudy Report!

Look at what I've been doing! It's good to have a dog-pal when it's so cold in O Hi O that Diamond really hates to go outside to pee. I think he's afraid he'll turn into a pup-cicle!

Daddy makes a pretty awesome pillow!

Diamond usually isn't wild about sharing Daddy with us, but he's realizing that I am warm and toasty to nap next to. Bet you wouldn't see this in July!

We needed to rest up last week because our living room is being turned into a different color. Daddy has been busy with paint and caulk and ladders and brushes and rollers. He said that if we went in there he would use my tail for a brush! You guys don't think he's serious do you?!?
