Today The Floof Goes Poof!

Hi kitties, Parker here on behalf of the Rudester. This morning Rudy gets stuffed into the PTU and goes to see Tiffany the very nice groomer. We all had our food and water taken away before we went to bed last night just in case they have to sedate Rudy. Tiffany works out of Diamond's VET hospital  - Dr. Babbit will monitor him if it comes to that.
Since Rudy is going to be 11 years old next month he is considered a geriatric kitty and sedation is always a concern. The good news is that Rudy is very healthy and should be fine if he has to be sedated. But we still worry. As much as I don't care for his orange menace pesky ways, I still want him to be OK and come back smelling all sweet and having his mats gone. Mommy won't relax until she hears he's ready to come home.
Please think good thoughts for our big orange creamsicle - life in O Hi O is always exciting with him in the picture!

I love lilacs and I love it when Mommy says I look pretty. That's why I like this photo so very much. I think it brings out the soft side of me...
...then I think about Rudy going to the groomers on Friday and I laugh and laugh and laugh...

The Rudy Report

So whattaya' know kitties? It's me Rudy! with your Rudy Report!

It was a little rainy in O Hi O this weekend so the deck time was kept to a minimum. I did make the most of it and to my dismay, Mommy kept chasing me around with the Furminator. I know that I have mats, but they are MY mats and she needs to leave them alone! She finally gave up and then she made a phone call to Tiffany. Tiffany is my groomer and Tiffany said that she'd love to see me this Friday! Tiffany is very nice and I like her very much as LONG AS SHE LEAVES MY MATS ALONE!
Mommy said that I might get a poodle-butt cut if Tiffany can't comb the mats out...YIKES!
So...I have four days to plan my escape. Right after I take a nap...
Stay cool kitties, and if you have mats, you might want to let your 'rents comb them out, don't be stubborn like me!

This photo is from Christmas Eve, 2007 and the 'rents thought I would like to wear a holiday collar. As you may be able to tell from the "I am not amused" look on my face, I prefer to celebrate the holidays without a holiday collar. The collar came off shortly after this photo was taken.

Well, this week's hunt was pretty much a no-brainer for us kittes at casa de O Hi O. This is our baby 'nip plant. It will feed our addiction all summer long! Roll 'em if ya' got 'em kitties!

The Rudy Report

Have you missed me kitties? Me - Rudy - with your Rudy Report!

What a couple of weeks we have had here in O Hi O! Mommy abandoned us a lot, springtime came, then it went, then it came and then it went. Mother Nature has a hard time making up her mind around here. We have catgrass and catnip growing up on the deck. We have never had catgrass before and I can report that it's nommy and we have been polite with each other, each of us waiting our turn and not getting all hissy about taking cuts. The catnip is still small and it's placed so that we can't get to it. I'll just let the 'rents believe that part for now...
In other news...guess who is just about the best boy in the world? That's right - ME!

Flat Skeezix and his Food Lady came to visit us last week and I loved and loved and loved and loved and loved and loved and loved and loved all over her! Parker was friendly, Powder made a rare appearance and let the Food Lady touch (!) her, Diamond slobbered all over her (much to Skeezix's disgust) and Puff became invisible. Here you can see us enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail. (Would you care for some fur with that ma'am?)

Here's Flat Skeezix deciding what to eat at one of our fine and classy food establishments. He decided on some fish - good choice Skeezix, too bad my 'rent didn't bring any home for me...
We were so happy we were able to meet the Food Lady and Flat Skeezix, she gives great pets and skritches. Skeezix was a little quiet - maybe it was the jet lag...

Her Cheatin' Heart...

Oh my Cod kitties, will you look at this? Mommy not only left me last weekend she - she - she - cheated on us!!! I am stunned at her unabashed affection for Moshe -  look at her, she's smitten! At least she mentioned my blog. Moshe is a gorgeous boy and he lives with his wonderful 'rent Carol. You should go and say hello to them, they are very nice. Mommy had never met a Sphynx kitty before and she enjoyed holding him very, very much. She said that Moshe was a gentleman and allowed her to fawn all over him for a long time. This is why I can never trust her - you let her leave for a day and this is what she does...
Never mind that the food lady came over here last week and I let her do the same thing to me, that's different, right?

Skeezix's Food Lady is smart! She spoke about finding your voice on your blog.

Skeezix hung out with the cheesecake at lunch. I think he had too much mother's milk the night before! He stuck to water and iced tea at lunch. Mommy said lunch was very nommy and the speaker was great.

This lucky guy won some Skeezix swag for one of the drawings and he doesn't even have a cat! No fair!

At one of the educational panels at Blogpaws Mommy saw Disco and Brighton in their Pink Catillac!

There was a place for all of the doggies to play and relax. There was no place like that for the kitties...

Mommy went to some of the educational panels, this one was how to publish a book in a digital world. Very interesting. And there were dogs and cats in the audience! Mom thinks that next year they are going to have the gathering in Denver! Tomorrow I will show you some of the friends that Mommy met!

Well kitties, Mommy had the best time at BlogPaws! She met some wonderful peeps and learned a whole lot of stuff for my blog. Lookit' all of the swag! She said it was like a playground for CCL's! AND she met some of my real live kitty bloggie pals! I think we are going to devote this week to the story. She took a lot of photos and you won't believe this...she met flat Skeezix AND the Food Lady! Yup - it's true!

A business card? MY business card?

Isn't that cool? I have my very own business card! Mommy had them made because she's going to Blogpaws on Saturday to see what's new in the world of blogging and maybe meet some of our friends! I am not going with her, I need to stay home and snoopervise Daddy while he plants more flowers. So kitties, do me a favor if you are going to be there - watch for the lady in a white T-shirt that has my face on it, it will be my Mommy and she would love to meet you. She's looking forward to hearing Skeezix and Tripper's mom speak!

The Rudy Report

Hello kitties! It's me Rudy, with the Rudy Report!

Hard to believe, but Puff and I shared the back of the loveseat in peace and harmony! I guess I was feeling all peaceful after the Easter HAM!!! we got to sample. I think HAM!!! is one of the best things about Easter from this kitty's point of view. It was a wonderful Easter and we got to go out and enjoy the warm sunshine on the deck. The girls had a spa day with the Furminator and I got to watch. There was a little 'nip party too! All in all, Easter rocked for us kitties, I hope your Easter Sunday was full of wonderful things!

The Easter bunny brought this little statue to Mommy. She is in love with it. Notice that the kitty is orange - I do not think this is a coincidence.
