Super Bowl Snackies

It's been over 3 months since I got the terrible news about my terrible cancer. It's taken my sight, but it hasn't taken my spirit or will to live. I have adjusted well to not seeing things and I have my memory of where things are. I'm still pain-free and actually quite happy. Today I plan on hanging with the 'rents and getting some good Super Bowl snackies. I hope you all get to do the same.
Smoochies to all of you! I love you.

The Rudy Report

Hola! Saludo kitties, here I am - ME! Rudy, with the Rudy Report!
It was a football weekend here - lots of nap opportunities!
I was planning on telling you about Parker having to go to the VET today for her wellness check-up, but the VET called and cancelled the appointment and now she doesn't have to go 'till Thursday. None of us enjoy going to the VET, but Parker is a little strange, she doesn't seem to mind and actually flirts with the VET! What a strange gal she is! I'll let her tell you about it later this week. The 'rents had company over this weekend and they made VEGETARIAN lasagna! With spinach! Blech! Mommy made up for that disaster by cooking a roast on Sunday. And yes, we got some tastes of it so all was forgiven.
Mommy also said that she is going to get us ready for Halloween. I wonder what she means by that...should I be worried?

Easy Like Sunday

With Puff and Diamond hogging Daddy's lap I think I am going to convince Mommy that she needs to take a nap this afternoon so I can get some snuggle time in. Her lap will probably be better anyway 'cause she doesn't yell at the football players on TV.

Uneasy Sunday

It did not go well for the Maize and Blue.

I tried to make Mommy feel better, I don't know if it helped.

Diamond was wise, he looked to Daddy for treats and comfort.

There's always next year!

MEEEEEE-SHE-GAN! GO BLUE!

Kitties, today is the day that the University of Michigan football team plays the evil, wicked hateful O Hi O State. This is a very important game because Michigan and Ohio are huge rivals. Mommy is from Michigan and she says that she bleeds blue! (EEEEWW!) Daddy roots for Michigan just because he wants to stay married. Michigan has had a very hard year and even though they aren't doing so well, just beating O Hi O state would make the year worthwhile.

I apologize to all of the kitties who cheer for O Hi O, but I don't have a choice. I like living here so that makes me a Michigan fan too (see, I even have a blue eye!)

And yes, living in O Hi O and having a U of M flag in our yard is a very brave move!
(I really hope Michigan wins, otherwise it might very hard to get treats and snuggles and naps beacuse of all the crying and stuff. Go Blue! Hail To The Victors and all that football jazz!)

Sunday Stuff With Awards

First of all, you kitties rock! I want to thank every one of you for displaying the American Diabetes Awareness widget on your sidebars. A cure for this rotten disease is something we pray for. So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

I am also kind of happy that the Halloween stuff is disappearing. Good bye little pumpkins and scary hanging stuff and the entire 9 trick-or-treaters that came to our home. Yup, we only had 9 trick-or-treaters. Mommy and Daddy were disappointed that there were so few. Now we have about a squillion bags of candy in the house. Mommy does not eat it and Daddy can't eat a squillion bags of candy. I heard talk of it going to a shelter for women. Fine with me, I don't care for sweet stuff.
The Chicago Bears play the Detroit Lions (aka The Motor City Kitties) today. We are a house divided. Don't tell Daddy, but I hope the kitties win!
And there is something very strange going on here...I'll show you guys tomorrow.
Lookie! See what I was given?

I was given this pretty award by Sweet Lovely Ariel
Isn't that so thoughtful of her - thank-you very much!

And the most handsome and charming Tristan bestowed this award to me.
Thank you kind sir!
Smooches,

Tattle Tail Tuesday - The Royal Deck

Mommy and I had a little argument about posting this photo. I won. She couldn't believe that Daddy brought a TV out to the deck so he could watch the Cubs play baseball and lay on the lounger and do guy things like drink beer and say bad words when the Cubs did not win. Diamond thought that it was great fun and we kitties wandered in and out all day. You can see me way in the background. Rudy tried to stay on Daddy's lap since he was still trying to suck up all of the sympathy in our three surrounding counties. Puff and Powder went between the deck and the kitchen where Mommy cooked a meatloaf, had a glass of wine and watched movies in between cooking. Mommy said that we look like a bunch of, well, I can't say what she said, but she suggested that we would not mix well with the royal family.

Easy Like Sunday - A Very Good Time

The Kitty Guests not only teleported over, they also came in pink BMW's!

Here is the sign that was on our nursery door!

Pyewacket really liked the jingle bells!

Lookit' these lovely kitties in their party hats! Here's a part of the 120 bags of fudge that the guests took home! The food is ready!
So are the drinks!
Lots of desserts for the beans too!
Wow, Wow, Wow! You kitties sure know how to have a great time. I had so much fun with all of you that I totally forgot there were a squillion strange beans downstairs! I just don't know what was more fun, watching the looks on the beans faces when they walked up the sidewalk and saw a squillion kitties making faces from the upstairs window, climbing the tree, pony rides on Diamond and Titus, eating all of the mousies from Eric and Flynn, munching on Miss Peaches goodies, playing cat stampede with Beau Beau's red dot, playing with the jingle bells on the door, sampling all of that primo nip, eating Marilyn's tuna puffs, watching Diamond eat those home-made chicken and cheese treats that Zippy, Speedy and Sadie brought for him, eating the Temptations off of the pretty wreath that Angie and Beau Beau Brought (Diamond really loved that bone too!)! Wow, I can write a long sentence, can't I? We had 71 kitties in the nursery! What a blast!

Thanks for making what could have been an awful day of banishment a great day of partying with my good friends!
Beau Beau and Angie
(That's Icon Baxter Bentley)
Diamond is exhausted from all of those pony rides. He is happy that he is allowed on the couch again and can snuggle with Daddy and watch football (go Lions!) We are wondering how Titus enjoyed giving pony rides to the kitties - we think it was his first time! Well, we here in O Hi O are tired today and are going to relax in front of the fire and probably nap away the afternoon. Mommy says she is glad that the party is over and she can relax for the rest of the holidays! We're glad that she is glad! Smooches!
(maybe we can read our friends bloggies today too, huh? Can we Mommy, pleeeeeeze?)
