Flying Fur

Hi kitties, how are you? I'm going pretty good - hangin' on the dining room table and catching the breeze of our fan. It feels great with all of the hots going on. Mommy says that I need an UBER brushing - something about my furs flying all over the house! I'm pretty sure that it isn't just my furs, there are plenty of furry suspects in this house. It is supposed to be a little cooler and if it is we will all go on the deck for a Furminator Fest! Well, all of us except Rudy, he'll just watch.

Nom Nom Nom...Oh Hey kitties! Rudy! here with your Rudy Report! Puff told you yesterday how boring it is here and how we just hung around watching the 'rents be uber boring. She was right, they were boring and we had to listen to them complain about the hots. I have started to make my own fun, can you guess what I have been doing? No? Well let me show you -

Pretty cool eh? I've been working on this for about a month and I'm pretty pleased with my progress. Mommy says it may be clippy claws time...

The Rudy Report

Hey there kitties! It's me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! The 'rents are home! They are sunburned! They are tired! They are happy to see us and we are happy to see them! I guess the Cubs that they went to see won the game of ball that they were playing and it made the 'rents very happy. The seats that Mommy got for them to sit in were in the what is called the "Bleacher Seats" and if the sun is shining it can get very hot. It is not a good idea to sit in bleacher seats when you are very pale and forgot to wear any sunblock. Mommy looks a lot like a beet. I don't care what she looks like, I am just glad she and Daddy are home!
We have a surprise for you this week! Mommy met a wonderful lady last April at Blogpaws who has an awesome store and the lady sent us a box of goodies to have a giveaway with! Trust me, you don't want to miss out on entering our contest. More on that later this week.
The hots have landed in O Hi O with a vengeance! No deck time for us and Daddy has to spend a lot of time keeping his "maters" and other plants watered so they don't shrivel up and die. We spend a lot of time in the cool house taking naps. Mommy needs to help us catch up on what's been going on in the blogoshere. So, what have you been doing? We sure have missed you!

The Waiting Is the Hardest Part...

Well kitties, they've gone and done it again. They've left. With suitcases. To see some stupid Cubs play with a ball. The sitter is on her way to stay with us and there is a full canister of treats. It's just not the same without the 'rents here.
Me and my sibs agreed that we'll wait to post again until the 'rents come home. I'll miss all of you, but I need to stay by the door and watch for their machine to pull in the driveway.
Stay cool and keep your tails held high. We'll be fine, just fine.

The Rudy Report

Hoo-Wee kitties! It sure is hot here in O Hi O! It's me, Rudy! with your Rudy Report. It was so hot here that I didn't even feel like being a menace! As you can see I was on the deck, but not for a long time. It was better to be inside and a little cooler. We were all bored and we didn't get a lot of time to play with Mommy because she had to go into work. AND they are leaving us again!!! Those awful suitcases are out and I heard the 'rents talking about going to see some Cubs play. Why would they go see some Cubs play when they can watch us kitties do that right here???

Mommy says that it has been a week full of Mondays. It's time to shake off that feeling and celebrate the weekend. Anyone care to join me? The sun is out and the 'nip is fresh - let's make the most of it!

Be Vewy, Vewy Quiet

Me and Garfield have to be vewy, vewy quiet. Daddy stayed up late to watch the Blackhawks win the cup. He's sleeping in. Thank goodness Mommy still got up to feed us this morning! Congrats to all of our Chi-town pals on their victory!

The Rudy Report

Yo Yo Yo Kitties! What's the haps? It's me - RUDY - with The Rudy Report! We had an awesome celebration of Daddy's birthday yesterday, he would like to thank all of you for the good wishes. I can report that brisket was cooked and cake was baked. I took a birthday nap with Daddy and it was awesome! The weather was gorgeous and we all were treated to some deck time.
Daddy is getting into a Chicago mood and is very excited because his birthday gift is a trip to see the Cubbies play baseball! That's right - in a few weeks we have our sitter come back so that the 'rents can go to the friendly confines of Wrigley field and cheer the Cubbies on to victory. I don't know about this, I'm more of a Tigers fan myself...Grrrrrr! Roar!

The great kitties over at The Kool Kitty Krew gave my Mommy an award a little while ago and we would like to say thank you to them - I'm going to let Mommy answer these questions -

1. What would your prefect day consist of?

Getting up to a great cup of coffee and spending time playing with the kids. A little gardening, a little cooking and topping it off with a great dinner with good friends!
2. How would you describe yourself if you were an item of clothing?
A vintage T-Shirt, and a great pair of old soft Levis.
3. What hobbies are you currently working on?
Improving my photography skills on the kitties.
4. Walking in the woods in wellies or bare foot on the beach?
I can't choose - both are lovely things to do.
5. Have you ever hugged or sang to a tree?
Oh yes, absolutely!
6. Growing your own veggies or nipping to the supermarket?
A combination of the two, I love farmer's markets! But I grow some great herbs!
7. Have you found anyone exciting in your family tree?
No, I'm adopted and since it was a long time ago I know nothing of my biological "tree".
8. Slap up meal in a posh restaurant or fish ‘n’ chips from the wrapper?
I like posh.
9. Which element do you most resonate with, Earth, Air, Fire or water?
Water, I'm all about the water.

I do!

Formerly Feral Friday

I've been caught mid-yawn. All of this homecoming stuff can wear a kitty out! Friday is such a lovely day and I need to conserve my energy for the weekend. The 'rents are staying put and I plan to plant myself on their laps and maybe get out on the deck if the hots aren't too bad.
Daddy is taking another trip around the sun on Sunday - I need to practice my birthday smooches for him! I'm sure that will be his most favorite gift of all! It's a fact that formerly feral kitties give the bestest smoochies!

Thankful Thursday

Powder: Can you believe this? Mommy and Daddy go on vacation and the only thing that they bring back for us is them! Not one toy, no Kansas City BBQ, not even a morsel -  nothing!!! This is wrong!
Rudy: At least they came back Powder, and don't forget, they missed us so much that I think you've been given half your weight in Temptations the last few days...
Powder: Oh, yeah...you're right. I'm glad they're home.
Rudy: Me too Powder... me too.
