If your name happens to start with the same letter as mine, sorry, but you can't use my answers!

I hope everykitty has a great Labor Day. There is a rumor going around that a new grill is being brought home and that meat will be cooked! How cool will that be? Tagged! Seven Strange Things About My Mommy. (Cripe, Only 7?)

First, the Front and Back of Mommy's Favorite T-Shirt

Megan over at Bad Kitty Cats tagged Mommy to list seven strange things about herself. I live with Mommy and I can tell you that there many strange things about her - this will be easy. Mommy is going to let me tell you about seven of them.
Here I go!
She's the world's guiltiest carnivore - Mommy was a vegetarian for many years. She always said she would never eat anything with a face. Three years ago she was diagnosed with Diabetes and had to cut way down on the amount of carbohydrates that she eats. Now she eats meat, but always feels bad about it.
She loves cloudy days - Now being a cat, I have never met a sunbeam I didn't like. (Hi Anastasia!) But Mommy loves a cloudy day with a cool breeze. Maybe it's because she has very fair skin and no fur to protect her, but she avoids being out in the sun. I find this very, very strange.
She was severely allergic to cats and rabbits as a child - Pretty awful for a kid who loved kitties! She would swell up and couldn't breath. Mommy thinks she developed an immunity by slowly exposing herself to cats over the years. By the time she was 19 she could handle being around one cat, eventually more. (Thank goodness!)
She knows all the words to just about every Motown song - Growing up in Detroit in the early/mid sixties had a lot to do with that.
She parallel parks better than 99% of the people in the world - Mommy said her Daddy taught her how to park and he was an engineer on the big freighters on the Great Lakes. I guess engineers can be pretty precise and park good...
For her last job she drove over 900 miles every week - She had to visit a lot of hospitals for her job, many of them were in remote places that did not have airports. She had to drive. A lot. Every week. She didn't enjoy that very much and had to be away from home. Today, she could walk to work if she wanted to!
She hates to talk on the phone for more than a minute at a time - Mommy said to say this - "if you had to be on call for years and years, you would hate to talk on the phone too!"
So there you have it (only) seven strange things about my Mommy. Strange or not, she's my Mommy and I love her more than tuna juice! That was fun Megan! Thanks!
*p.s. Purrs to Oscar's family - you are in my prayers

Tagged! A Monday Meme By Me!

See my tag? Get it? Tag? Tagged? I crack me up!

The royalest cat I know, HRH Yao-Lin, tagged me. I must obey!

1. Favorite season? I like Autumn. Cool smells, great napping weather, the fireplace, lots of sweaters to lay on!
2. Favorite colors? I have two. Blue and Green - those are the color of my eyes!
3. Favorite room? Wherever Daddy is. But I like the back porch a lot.
4. Do you like dogs? Hmmmm...not as a steady diet. Diamond is OK, sometimes. But other dogs, NO!
5. Ever been in an airplane box? No, and I hope I never do. I might have to do that when we move.
6. Do you have to get bathed? No, no no no no no and no! I am quite capable of keeping my machine clean!
7. Are you in love? Yea, with tuna, shrimp, and fake mousies. I do have a disturbing attraction to him.
8. Where would you like to travel to? My food bowl.
9. What do you ignore? The silent pleas for mercy from my fake mousies.
10. How many lives have you used up? Being formerly feral, I fear I've used up 3 of my 9.
11. Do you have any dark secrets? Not any more, see # 7.
12. What is your favorite holiday? Any day that puts HAM! in my belly - so probably Easter.
13. Water or milk? Water is fine. The occasional sip of milk is a taste treat though! And don't get me going on ice cream!
14. Why do you blog? For the complete answer look here.
15. Are you into extremes? Heck yes! Extreme shrimp eating, extreme HAM! snarfing, extreme napping, extreme sunbathing...the "extremes" go on and on and on...
16. Favorite TV shows? I like to watch Meerkat Manor - I also enjoy whatever makes my folks sit on the couch for a while - then I get to snuggle!
17. Are you a pesty lap cat? Pesty?!? Moi?!? PFFFT!!! My lap advances are always welcomed by the 'rents!
18. Inside or outside cat? I am happy to announce that I am a safe, content, INDOOR cat. This was not always the case.
19. What makes you happy? A Lot! Lesse', there is the big three - Shrimp, HAM! and Tuna Juice, then there are fake mousies, Daddy and Mommy of course, sunny nap spots, the big human bed, my back porch, kitty treats like Temptations, the feather wand, the fireplace in cool weather, rubbing my face all over the 'rents hands, getting carried like a baby, my Gizzy quilt, bird and squirrel watching, getting pony rides from the D.O.G., catnip sprinkled on our kitty steps, foam balls, when Mommy drops food on the floor, clean litter boxes, a pile of clean clothes fresh out of the dryer, comments from my pals, seeing Mommy walk through the door, sneak attacking my siblings from way high up, finding a lost toy under the couch, getting a surprise snuggle from daddy, a little chunk of cheese every once in a while, my Daisy snuggle, big kitty stretches and yawns...as you see, there are many things that make this kitty very happy. The thing that makes me happiest? Easy, I have a forever home!
20. Your most embarrassing moment? When Daddy coaxed me into the apartment he was staying in, I had no idea what a door or window was. I also had no idea what furniture was. And, the concept of a litter box was pretty foreign to me - I had no idea why he kept putting me in this box with crystal things in it! All in all, I had a lot to learn. Thinking back on it it now kind of embarrassing!

Tagged! And It's All About Me!

I was tagged by Icon Baxter Bentley!
Here are the rules. Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own blog about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your blog!
7 Random Facts About Me…

  1. I have the teeniest tiniest purr. And I rarely use it. I am a very happy girl, just not a purring machine!
  2. I like to "charge" my sister Powder. I look like a bull in a china shop when I do it. As you may have guessed, Powder isn't too crazy about this "game" of mine.
  3. I refuse to jump in Mommy or Daddy's lap when they are sitting in the dining room. But watch out if they are on the couch!
  4. I MUST sleep next to Daddy's head at night (right side please!)
  5. I will "high five" for treats. I will not "high five" for anything else.
  6. I have killed 3 Jade plants in 2 years. They have all been 4 times my size. I am convinced that the leaves were designed to be my personal toys.
  7. I have lived with Mommy and Daddy for over 4 years and I still approach food as if I were feral.

Bonus fact - I am sending all of my love and prayers here.

Lessee...I'm going to tag China Cat, DaisyMae, Oscar The Puppy Cat, Merlin, Millie, Stella, and Yao-Lin.

I've Been Tagged! For The Very Second Time!

Daisy tagged me on how I achieve balance in my life. I gave this a lot of thought and here's what I came up with;
How do you achieve balance in your life?
By following the rules of cats throughout the ages. I make time to nap, eat, sleep, play and get attention and love from my Mommy and Daddy. If you follow these cat rules for living you have achieved feline balance.
What is your biggest challenge in balancing your life?
My Mommy and Daddy mess up the balance. When Mommy's job makes her travel, when Daddy works late, when they decide I have to go to the evil V.E.T. Those things throw me off.
What are your priorities?
To be loved, to feel safe, to always have food in my bowl.
How have your priorities changed over time and why? They have changed a lot! When I was feral my one and only priority was to stay alive! Now that I am safe and loved, I can relax.
What advice can you share to help all of us balance our own lives?
Stay true to yourself, be kind, appreciate the beauty in everyday things, and remember that love is the most important thing that there is in this world.
