Yesterday some of you kitties could not see the beautiful hairy blankie that was sun-drenched and comfy! I had a great nap in all of it's softness and Mr. Sun was generous with his warmth.
Please stop by tomorrow for Puff and Powder's 13th birthday celebration! We're taking a walk down memory lane - such fun!

The Rudy Report
This is my "let's play" face!
Heisann kitties! It's me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! The Spring friskies have me in their clutches, I am playing and running and jumping all over the place. Yesterday I get so enthusiastic with my playing that I made a curtain go dead! Good times kitties! It's still pretty chilly outside but there are Crocus blooming and little sprigs of green shooting out of the ground. Spring is here and the warm weather can't be far behind, right?
We're going to have a little celebration at Casa de Parker. On Friday I would like you to come and visit us. The calico sisters, Puff and Powder will be turning 13! I think that's worth a party! Mark your calendars!
Oh - and keep those tails held high kitties!

Playtime in O Hi O
Nothin' like a Saturday afternoon with toys and some 'nip for the kitties. Diamond has his squeaky toy, Baby Dumbo, and the kitties have their 'nip toys. Life is good.

The Rudy Report
Well Hi there kitties - it's me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! What an awesome weekend it was! Mommy went out hunting and came back with a refill for the middle of my our Turbo Track ball chaser. She stuffed it full of the preemo 'Nip and I went to town! So much fun! I really feel good and Mommy says she thinks that I weigh more now than I ever have. I have to go and visit Dr. Wendy next month for my shots that are overdue. Dr. Wendy did not want to give them to me a few months ago because it was too early after that awful Hemobart that I had. I've made it through my grooming last month, so I guess I can make it through a visit to Dr. Wendy and a few pokes in the butt.
The grill has been working overtime with the nicer weather and we have all had little tastes of real live dead shrimps and steak. Springtime rocks.
Keep those tails high and enjoy the passing of winter. I have to say, this winter was the worst winter I have ever had in all of my 12 + years. I made it though and am happy that I have the chance to welcome Spring to our little corner of O Hi O!

The Rudy Report
No...You're In MY Space!
Mingalarba kitties, it's me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! this was a great weekend, we got the first sniffs of Spring in the air! I had to share those sniffs with Parker, but I guess that there was enough for the both of us. We have never been the type to share anything and the Spring air was no exception. So, all in all it was a win.
What was a bigger win was the chicken and pig that was grilled outside. Little tastes for all and it was very very nommy. Kitties, I think that Spring is not far around the corner for all of us in O Hi O. What a wonderful thought!
Keep those tails high kitties!

Godspeed Mickey
We have lost a very sweet and dear friend. Mickey was one of the nicest and loving mancats in the blogosphere. He loved his Mommy, his family and his lovely wife, Misses Peach. Our hearts are broken today as we honor this lovely kitty.
Where to Bury A Cat
There are various places within which a cat may be buried. We are thinking now of a tabby cat, a striped cat, whose coat was like watered silk, and who, so far as we are aware, never entertained a mean or an unworthy thought. This cat is buried beneath a cherry tree, under four feet of garden loam, and at its proper season the cherry strews petals on the green lawn of his grave. Beneath a cherry tree, or an apple, or any flowering shrub of the garden, is an excellent place to bury a good cat. For beneath such trees, such shrubs, he slept in the drowsy summer, or chased bees, or lifted head to challenge some winged intruder. These are good places, in life or in death. For if the cat be well remembered, if sometimes he leaps through your dreams actual as in life, eyes kindling, questing, asking, laughing, begging, it matters not at all where that cat sleeps at long and at last. On a hill where the wind is unrebuked and the trees are roaring, or beside a stream he knew in kittenhood, or somewhere in the flatness of a pasture land, where the most exhilarating moles burrow. It is all one to the cat, and all one to you, and nothing is gained, and nothing lost -- if memory lives. But there is one best place to bury a cat. One place that is best of all. If you bury him in this spot, the secret of which you must already have guessed, he will come to you when you call -- come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death, and down the well-remembered path, and to your side again. And though you call a dozen living cats, they shall not hiss at him, nor resent his coming, for he is yours and he belongs there. People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall, who hear no mew pitched too fine for mere audition, people who may never really have had a cat. Smile at them then, for you shall know something that is hidden from them, and which is well worth the knowing. The one best place to bury a good cat is in the heart of his owner.

Nekkid!
So, a few months ago Mommy got Rudy and me new collars from FelineFido. He got bumblebees and I got peace signs. This weekend Mommy noticed that mine looked rather, um, well-used. She looked closer and I had pretty much destroyed it with my clawrz - my back ones. It was itching me and I also got a few little boo-boos for my trouble. She thinks I am a delicate flower and the material did not agree with me.
Now I am nekkid and Mommy is looking for a collar that is gentle and safe. She's leaning toward hemp. Do any of you wise kitties or kitty parents have any suggestions?

The Rudy Report
Hi De Ho kitties, it's me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! The deep-freeze in O Hi O is stubborn and keeps making appearances. It even snowed again yesterday...so the only thing to do is huddle up, forget our differences and stay warm. Puff and I rarely see eye to eye, but butt-to-butt, we don't do so bad. Mommy stayed out in the kitchen and made turkey thighs for dinner! And yes, we got littles tastes of it. Nommy!
The Buttz family.
Mommy did something for her health on Friday. She had a colonoscopy. She's fine, and we want to tell all of you beans that for your health, if you are over 50, you ought to do the same thing! Wow, that's a lot about buttz in one post! HaHaHaHaHa!
ps - Purrs to our buddy Mickey, please go and leave a comforting word for him and his Mom.

Don't Forget To Take Out The Recycling!
Never underestimate the powerful, lingering scent of catnip in an empty box. And always remember to thoroughly check the recycling bin before emptying!
