Mancat Monday - The Rudy Report

Here's my report for the week. It's hot, it sux, I have learned that laying on the dining room table in front of the fan helps keep the floof cool. We'd like to thank all of you for your suggestions about Puff's speckles - Mommy is going to wait and see what the doctor says after looking at her pictures - thanks Auntie Deb for the help! We had some nice chicken this weekend. Stir Fry is yummy! It might cool down this week and we could see our deck again! Yay! I hope you kitties have a great Monday!

A Question About Puff's Speckles

Puff is the kitty who gets a lot of "Oh what a pretty cat" comments from everyone and I agree, she is quite the looker. The first photo you see is of Puff in February of 2008. If you look at her left eye you see the beginning of a speckle. There is some dark coloration on the corner of her right eye as well. Our VET said that since it doesn't bother her that there is no reason to worry, it's just "speckles".

Below is a very unflattering photo of the Puffster taken today. You can see that her speckles have gotten larger, but they still do not bother her and she still acts like a cat half her age.

We all have to go to the VET in August for our wellness checks, Puff and Powder also get a geriatric panel of labs run since they are now 11 years old. Mommy has a question - should she press the VET harder about the speckles? She's been on the internet looking for what these may be and some of the answers get her very nervous. All of the advice says that if it isn't bothering the kitty that it's normal...but Mommy thinks that maybe they should be checked anyway...maybe...the other half of her brain says that it's not good to put Puff through extra stress. What we want to know are your thoughts and opinions - what would your 'rents do?

The Hots

OK, I am very tired of the hots. No open windows, no deck, no breezes to sniff. Is there someone I can talk to about making the hots go away???

For Father's Day, we had a box of these shipped to Daddy. I just want to warn Sweet Praline that Daddy thinks you are very yummy! Look out if he ever meets you!

Puff is annoyed. When the hots come to O Hi O she does not get to go out on the deck because the rents say it's too hot for us and for them. She'd like all of you to know that she hates the hots. A lot.

Hi there kitties, it's me, Rudy, with the Rudy report. Yesterday was the first day of Summer and it was Fathers day. As you can see by the photo, it was a very busy day in O Hi O. We had many naps to take and then we had to snoopervise the grilling of the hamburgers. By the time the day was over, I was exhausted!
It's hard to be me, nothing but work, work, work...

To Our Daddy...

So we got him a card that would make him laugh!

Later we're gonna' make a big nap pile on him and give him some of our Temptations, he'll love that! Maybe we'll even share our Stinky Goodness with him!!!

Happy Days...

It's this part of the year that I really love being a kitty. It isn't too hot, the 'nip flows freely on the deck and we get to spend lots of time getting groomed with the fresh breezes blowing through our fur.
We all took turns (except for Rudy) getting groomed. I love the Furminator, it keeps me very sleek and soft.

Powder is very partial to to big jug of 'nip that she always knocks to the floor!

Puff's just happy that she isn't grounded from the deck anymore!

Easy Like Sunday

Yesterday, as I told you, Mommy and Daddy walked and walked and walked and walked for the Relay For Life. We were all treated to some major Stinky Goodness when they got home. It was very deeeelish!

MMMMmmmm...good to the last morsel!

I hear rumors that we get to go out on the deck this afternoon!

It's gonna' be a good day kitties!

Saturday Caturday - Relay For Life

Today the 'rents walk and walk and walk. Why? 'Cause they say cancer sucks and they want to help raise green papers to kick it's butt!
I'm graciously allowing them to do this on a day usually reserved for spending time with me! Maybe they'll take a few photos and I can see how well they did!
