Easy Like Sunday - Anticipation

Aniticipation!
Have you met Gaius the cat yet? He and his beans are having a great contest to raise awareness about good causes. It is called Raise your Paw. The contest asks us to raise our paw for our particular good cause. I asked Mommy if I could enter because I would like to raise awareness about Wayside Waifs. Wayside is Kansas City's largest Humane Society and my Mommy volunteered there a lot when we lived in Kansas City. You can read a little about that here and here. Mommy still stays in touch with some of her friends who work and volunteer there and she is always wishing she would win the lottery or something so she could give them a squillion green papers and help them help all of the kitties and other animals who come to them when they have no where else to go.
I let Puff use the blog yesterday because I have been practicing my paw raise this weekend. I am pretty good at it because I already know how to "high five" for treats. The problem is our stupid camera. It is a cell phone camera and it isn't as fast as I am. I'm kind of glad that it is slow because it means I get a lot more treats when it screws up!
I have a question to ask you before I go off and practice some more. I have noticed that I have been getting some very strange rankings in the Top 100 Cat sites. I have been as high as 26 and as low as, well, I was off of the ranking last night and now I am at 80-something. Does anykitty know if their site is messed up? I'm thinking about just taking it off of my blog all together.

I heard the Top 100 cat sites place isnt' working like it used to. I got hte new code they said to get and I'm not even listed sometimes.

You can ask Daisy or Skeezix as well, they might know more about it.

Gaius' contest is great! I am practicing raising a paw too. :)

I think the Cats top 100 must be messed up. Skeezix is no longer #1 and a lot of other sites are getting really weird rankings. Blogs with less visitors and comments than my blog show up ranked much higher. I don't know exactly how they determine their rankings, but something weird is going on.

You are just a good kitty! And what is up with the Meezer's and their chatting?

We saw Jeter and Daisy discussing Top 100 Cats in a comment thread, and Skeez too. Ours was very goofy for weeks as well. We think Daisy took it off of her site (the widget) last week, so in a show of solidarity (and sanity...does it matter in the grand scheme of life on earth, really?) we took the widget off of our site too.
We feel more free.
Happy Sunday to you all, and DD too.

Your mommy bean sounds likes mine. She wants to help all the helpless animals.

I am very excited about the Raise a Paw contest. I have gotten many, many extra treats while I practiced raising my paw.

The Cats Top 100 site has not been working right. I went from 10 to 68 then back to 10 in about a day. And sometimes the statistics never change, so I do not know if it is even tracking properly. The worst thing was I noticed for a while several non-cat-related sites on there, and one was even listed twice. I have sent numerous e-mail inquiries to them (at least 6) and they never responded to even one of them. I do not want to be on a site that has no administrator and does not work right, so I finally removed the widget. And I feel so free now!

I just joined, so after Daisy's comment I will remove the widget too. We had had our home page on the site, but the Woman must have deleted it at some point to put the blog on and never got around to it. It does not bode well for them.

That is a great picture of you, Parker! I'm impressed by your hard work at practicing raising a paw. Your momma's organization sounds like a really good place.

I removed the top 100 site a long time ago, and it did a lot of those same things. I decided the absolute ranking wasn't important, as along as my friends visit me.

The raise your paw contest is very cool. You have a great deserving organization there.

China Cat & I are both practising raising our paws too. Actually, she is very good at it because she sometimes raises her paw to swat me!

We also noticed that the Top 100 is not working properly.

Raise Your Paw is a great idea. I haven't visited Gaius yet, so I will go see him. My ranking on the Top 100 Cat Sites goes up and down pretty erratically, too. Sometimes my ranking goes up on days I don't post and down on days when I do post, so I'm guessing it's not very accurate.

Very nice cause you picked!! Oh, we are so glad to know this is happening to a lot of cats about the Top 100 Rankings. We are going to take it off our blog, too. Daisy is rihgt as long as our furiends come to visit, that is what matter's most!
Cute picture! We are still practicing to raise our paws!!
