Parker Update

Hi everykitty and 'rent - I wanted to stop in and say hello. I'm taking lots of naps and eating lots of leftover turkey. I found a sunspot too - it felt good.
We had company over for Thanksgiving and I was able to visit with them. I still feel pretty OK, but I am very tired. The 'rents don't hover over me too much, but they sure do stick close. That's OK 'cause I'm always up for a cuddle or two anymore. No pain, good appetite and very tired. That about sums it up.
I hope your Thansgiving was full of turkey and love.

Our New Haute Couture

Both Rudy and I were long overdue for new collars (aka haute couture) and one of the places we like to shop for our new collars is Feline Fido. They have a good selection of collars and they last a long time. Most important to us is that they donate a portion of their profits to animal charities. On Saturday our new collars came from the man in the long bloo underwear - we were excited because this means that we get to run around naked while Daddy says bad words about his nails being too short and fusses about how hard it is to put our ID tags on our new collars! All in all, if you are a cat, it's pretty good entertainment.
I was going to let you guess who got what collar, but here's how it was decided. We let Daddy choose. His reasoning is as follows -
~ I get the peace sign since Daddy likes peace signs and I am the star of this show.
~ Rudy got the Bumblebees because he's always buzzing around chasing us and  being antagonistic! HE CALLED RUDY ANTAGONISTIC! HaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!!
...I love Daddy.
~ Feline Fido did not pay us to promote their products. Feline Fido probably does not even know about me or this blog! ~

Formerly Feral Flying Friday

Daddy is leaving on a jet plane today.

He won't be back for 4 night sleeps!
And to add to my misery, look at my 'nip plant!
The only good news is that it might rain! That would be a very good thing because it has not rained here in over a month. The grass is as dead as this 'nip plant!
Mommy says that I will get extra snuggles from her and that all will be well. So maybe life won't be as awful as I think - I know that I have much to be thankful for, so kitties - here's to a rainy snuggle-filled weekend. Even if Daddy won't be here...Sob!

Heard It Through The Grapevine...

Puff: "Psssst, Rudy come here..."

Rudy: "What?"
Puff: "Daddy is leaving for Florida tomorrow! Don't tell Parker though, you know how she is about Daddy, she'll freak out! She's such a Daddy's girl..."

Rudy: "I know, she's going to be pretty upset!"

What!?! What was that I just heard? Oh Noes!!!..DAAAAADEEEE!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

If it wasn't for my Daddy, I would never have known what the words love and home mean. Thanks Daddy for putting the word formerly in front of feral to describe me.

Daddy is my protector, my food and treat giver, my yak cleaner-upper (sometimes) and my litter scooper. He's my best friend, my nap buddy and my favorite bi-ped in the world!

Thursday Thirteen

Mmmm! Tastes like chicken!

Here are 13 interesting things are going on...

1.Anytime we get to go out on the upstairs deck, Rudy sits under the catnip plant and tries to figure out how to get it. You really can see his little brain whirling around in his head. Plotting and scheming - it's fun to watch him. Mommy is sure he's going to figure something out soon!
2.Mommy has been riding her bike to work. She does not like to add to the pockets of the oil companies any more than she already has. She and Daddy say lots of bad words when the news talks about gas prices.
3.Diamond has to go to the VET next Tuesday for clippy claws! HA-HA-HA! He gets really askeeered about getting his nails clipped - what a wuss!
4.Mommy made up her own Salsa and BBQ sauce last weekend. She put fruit in the Salsa! And not one of us kitties enjoyed any part of it! Blech! Now, Tuna Salsa??? That would have been a different story!
5.Did you know that if you hide one of your fake mousies in your Mommy's slipper that she will scream when she slips her foot in there? I highly recommend doing this. You'll laugh and laugh and laugh!
6.A vishus deer ran through our front yard this week. This is not a good thing because we live where deer should not be running through our yard. Even though they are vishus, I hope the deer got to where it was safe.
7.I had forgotten how much I don't like window air conditioners. They are noisy and block my view from the bedroom.
8.I am being very difficult about Kimo and Sabi's Jump and Shout Contest. Mommy keeps trying to catch me jumping or shouting. I have done neither. HeeHee.
9.Speaking of difficult, Powder had a wicked-awful hairball on Tuesday and it was a lot of fun watching Mommy try to catch her and give her a dose of Cat Lax. For being a squillion years old, Mommy can move pretty fast. Just not as fast as Powder...
10.A big black birdie flew into our big picture window in the dining room yesterday. It made a big noise. The bird was OK, he stood right up and flew away. I was kind of bummed, I thought dinner was being delivered...
11.I heard Mommy and Daddy talking about having visitors coming this month. One of the visitors will be a little sticky thing! AAAIIIEEE!
12.I almost deaded the camera this week. Mommy should know better to leave the strap hanging over the table...
13.Puff entered the Scotch Furriest Friend Photo Contest. I hope she wins! Here's her photo entry -

I just want to say that prayers work! We are very happy that Mu Shue, Lilly and Iris were found and that they are back with Mom Laura!
