The Rudy Report

Full of 'Nip and 'tude
Ola kitties, it's me - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! Remember me? Good! I am doing fine, we've been in a dark place for a few months with losing our Parker and it's been hard to find something positive to report. But I told the 'rents that we need to focus on the here and now, and the here and now is full of good things. Here's some of them -
  • I am awesome!
  • The calico sisters have had their geezer geriatric wellness checks and they are both in tip top shape.
  • Diamond is doing well, he did have to start taking more medicine for his achy bones. It helps him a lot. He still likes to bark at the guy in the bloo shorts. He's convinced that the guy is going to steal our stuff!
  • Mommy got a pretty silver necklace that she put Parker's Hello Kitty collar charm on - it makes her feel closer to Parker and that makes her feel better.
  • Our little shelter keeps on keeping on. Mommy has been spending a lot of time trying to help them be more and more successful. We think it's working (a little bit...)
  • A lot of you donated to the shelter in memory of Parker. There are no words to thank you for your kindness. We know that it must of made our angel Parker very happy that she helped many kitties find their forever home. She was a big fan of a forever home : )
  • Me and Puff and Powder are still sort of working out the new kitty order of things. Our behaviors are changing and Puff and I seem to be tied in the spot for Alpha kitty. We may decide to share the role. Powder is happy to be the itty bitty kitty. Diamond just wants to keep the "Paw of Death" a distant memory.
  • We have a new introoder - He's a nice looking male who the 'rents are feeding outside. Daddy named him Jack. As soon as Mommy gains a little more trust he gets a car ride to the vet for tests and a neuter. Poor fellow. I'll make Mommy get a good photo. Right now he's a little skittish. I would be too if my bits were about to vanish! Then he goes to the shelter to find a forever home. Jack has a whole new future in front of him! Some of you may be thinking - "maybe Jack should live here." Ummmmm, I vote NO! I am the only mancat in this household!
  • The 'rents are going on vacation away from us in almost a year. Our awesome sitter will be here to take great care of us. The 'rents deserve some time away.
So, that's the report. I've missed all of you. I'll leave you with a few cool photos.

We miss you so very, very much. Two months ago today...

Hi Rudy. How nice to see you and to hear how everyone is doing. Mom Paula sends her thoughts to your parents as she remembers how it felt to lose Sweet Praline last year. Welcome back.

So lovely to see you in my reader again!

I know how hard it is picking up the pieces of a shattered heart. Put one paw in front of the other, right Rudy? That's all we can do.

Jacks bits are just being donated to a very good cause! srsly! :D

We've missed you all!

Hey Rudy ~ thank you for the report on your 'rents, on handsome Diamond, and on all the other furries. We have missed you all, and we'll always miss dear Parker ... but it is good that you're at least a little bit ready to come back to us all ...

Thanks for the report Rudy. You are indeed awesome! We will purr that Jack gets close enough...you can tell him he doesn't actually need his bits. We kinda like the idea of him moving in on you...that's what happens all the time to us. I suppose that because your mom volunteers at your awesome shelter that's the best. I mean if our mom volunteered at an awesome shelter maybe we wouldn't purrsonally need to be the neighborhood cat shelter! Ha!

Oh Rudy, it's so good to hear from you again. You don't know how we have missed you, but we do understand why you have been gone. It has to be very hard. YAY - your rents will be taking a trip in a year. Good for them. Maybe they'll wait until they come back to add to their family of cats!

Yes, it is hard to get through a loss and to work out the new relationship status. But we're glad to hear from you. And you're right, Rudy. You're an awesome mancat.

Hello Rudy, thank you for updating us - we feel sure that dear sweet Parker is watching over you all from the Elysian Fields. She would be so pleased that the blog continues and that you, Puff, Powder and Diamond Doggie are looking after your 'rents.

Hi Rudy. Good to hear and see you again.

We know you're all missing Parker, but we promise, it gets easier to bear. Mom has 4 cats and a dog at The Bridge and still misses them but can think about them without leaky eyes now.
