Summer's End...

...means that we are getting to the last of our fresh catnip.
We won't miss the hots, but just as the 'rents are going to miss the fresh taste of tomatoes, we will miss the sweet, sweet smell of fresh homegrown 'nip.
Happy Friday everyone!

We gotta get our mom out there to harvest some of ours before it dies! Enjoy that nip!

Less hots = more clothing certain overheated beans wear. Win/win situation.

Ooooo, we didn't even think about our fresh 'nip. Come to think of it, momma got out the twine the other day to cut the 'nip and hang it in the garage to dry...sigh. Guess summer is on the way out.

Our summer only lasted about two weeks here. We wish we would get a proper summer like we used to.
Guess what! Our Beans bought us a nip plant when they went to the gardens last week. I usually love nip but I have ignored it. But Eric, he who doesn't do nip, he can't stop rolling around on the earth around it and he keeps getting a silly face,

It looks like it's going to be the dried stuff from now on!

It looks like you had a great nip-fest. Even nipped out, you kitties certainly give each other plenty of personal space.

Our nip stays green until deep frost, which means sometimes 'til November! some of us actually like it better dried, maybe 'cause it tastes less green and is more concentrated. You all look comfortable but at a safe distance from each other on the deck.

Can the nip be grown inside?
