Mancat Monday - The Rudy Report

Hey kitties! It's me, Rudy, here with the Rudy Report!

The sun came out yesterday! It got warm enough to open the front doors for a few minutes and that was a big treat! Me and Diamond had to check out the view and sniff the fresh, chilly air! It was wonderful! Then we had to close the doors. Mommy says 37 degrees is not screen door weather. She's such a killjoy...
Diamond got a new collar last week from the Animal Rescue Site. It looks pretty cool. He likes it a lot. He's hoping to catch a few girl doggies eyes when he takes walks with it on. Diamond is a hopeless romantic.
I smacked Parker in the cheek Friday night and gave her a boo-boo. I got squirted with the water bottle for my trouble. She's OK, but I made Mommy very upset. I just can't help myself sometimes. I am a high-spirited kinda' guy...
Mommy and Daddy are such party animals that they only lasted to the 2nd quarter of the Superbowl. They made 7 layer Taco Dip and we didn't get to taste it cause it had too many spices in it. We did get Stinky Goodness though - and it was Chicken flavored! Yum!
Mommy is losing the battle of trying to groom out my mats. She is threatening to take me to the groomers at the VET place. She'll have to catch me first!
Well kitties, it's time to go and watch the birds and the squirrels in the backyard. I hope your Monday has at least 1 or 2 pleasant surprises in it!
Bye-Bye!!!

Happy Monday! Humans do not think 37 is screen door weather because they do not have our fabulous furs. Too bad for them. We have an award for your blog at ours!

That is a great collar! Georgia is the only one who gets mats around here, and when she doesn't let mom comb her she just gets them cut out and then looks funny with short patches. Have a good Monday!

Rudy,
Has you mom tried the Furminator on you? Boy, it really works at combing out all of the dead undercoat furs that make mats. We line up for it and can't get enough! The first time MamaCat used it on us, she pulled off handfuls of dead furs. We bet Diamond would like it too. It really feels good!

Mum thinks the collar is very smart. I am not sure about getting mats in my furs, my furs are very well behaved.

Diamond looks very spiffy in the new collar, and Rudy you look very mancatly standing up at the door. Don't be taking swipes at your sister, she needs to keep her looks.

Have a nice week, we hope some of the snow is melting.

We had very nice weather this weekend and got to spend the whole day outside with the the beans Saturday working on the fence. We will be spending today napping as the forecast is 100% rain. But that means the groundhog won't see a shadow in Mississippi. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

Sounds like you had a furry nice weekend...our weather was good yesterday too...but the beans were too busy watching football and stuff to really appreciate it...or to let us appreciate it!

Hi Rudy. Great picture of you and Diamond together. Meowmy mostly is able to brush Fuzzy these days so he doesn't get mats (or only small ones that she can pick out...she gets him purring and then works with the comb) but when he first came to live with us she had to take him to the v.e.t. a couple of times for a lion cut. Not nice to be shorn in the winter time! Please don't hurt Parker, she's a sweet girl!

That is one stylin' collar, Diamond!

Mommy opened our windows for a bit on Saturday to "air out the house" a bit . . . but it was still too chilly outside to leave them open for long. We kitties enjoyed it a lot, though. I keep hoping that spring is almost here! The birdies outside are sure chirping like it is just around the corner.

Diamond that collar is very studly...and I think Grete might just be really interested in any handsome dog that wears such a cool collar.

Diamond, that is a very wonderful collar! I'll bet you will make a good impression on the girls wearing that.

We only made it to the end of the 3rd quarter, and I heard it was an exciting conclusion!

I hope things warm up soon so you can have screened door time. And be patient and let your Mom get those mats out because they're no fun.

Yes it looks nice and sunny so why cant yoo has the screen door open. A little fresh airs cant hurts, cold or not we say!

Trooder gets mats dat the mom tries to brush out. She says he is going fer a spa day soon acuz he bites way too much when she tries to brush hims.

Oh, we just know dat collar is gonna catch da eye of lots of gerl doggies...tho we think dey should prolly notice how handsome Diamond is first. Yoo should let yoor mom brush dat mats out Rudy cuz if yoo hafta go to da groomers dey will SHAVE YOO! And stop hitting Parker, she doesn't deserve dat.

Diamond needs to get together with Titus. He's an adventurous eating dog!!
We got one of those full glass screen doors for the front door. It's real insulated and mom will open the big door so the sun can come in. It's great to lay in front of and we can still see out!
