Sunday Stuff With Awards

First of all, you kitties rock! I want to thank every one of you for displaying the American Diabetes Awareness widget on your sidebars. A cure for this rotten disease is something we pray for. So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

I am also kind of happy that the Halloween stuff is disappearing. Good bye little pumpkins and scary hanging stuff and the entire 9 trick-or-treaters that came to our home. Yup, we only had 9 trick-or-treaters. Mommy and Daddy were disappointed that there were so few. Now we have about a squillion bags of candy in the house. Mommy does not eat it and Daddy can't eat a squillion bags of candy. I heard talk of it going to a shelter for women. Fine with me, I don't care for sweet stuff.
The Chicago Bears play the Detroit Lions (aka The Motor City Kitties) today. We are a house divided. Don't tell Daddy, but I hope the kitties win!
And there is something very strange going on here...I'll show you guys tomorrow.
Lookie! See what I was given?

I was given this pretty award by Sweet Lovely Ariel
Isn't that so thoughtful of her - thank-you very much!

And the most handsome and charming Tristan bestowed this award to me.
Thank you kind sir!
Smooches,

It was 70* here in I O W A for trick or treating and we didn't get many kids either. Toward the end, mom just gave everybody 2 or more to get rid of the candy!
We hid under the bed.

We got 25 kids, which is more than the 7 or so we usually get. We are happy it's over to. Now on to the best holiday of all, Thanksgiving! Any holiday that's celebrated with turkey is a great day indeed. BTW, we're happy to display the diabetes awareness badge on our blog. Sometime this month I'll write about Max's life and experience with diabetes.

Mom says you can send that chocolate candy her way! I told her she didn't need it.

Congratulations on your awards.

Congratulations on your awards~!!!

About Halloween,
Michico says she saw a little 5 years old batman at the metro station, she says that kid is very adorable. But she forgot bringing any candies, she thought she was lucky that kid didn't ask her for any treat~

We only got two groups of two kids, so we were a little bit disappointed, too.

Yes Parker, we have to find a cure for this ugly(that's the word) disease. We don't celebrate the Halloween, but I tell mom to do it, however, I had only: dad, mom, Stellaluna, Ozzie, and Auntie :(

WE did not have many trick or treaters either.

We had only one trick or treater, our next door neighbor. I think nowadays more and more kids go to planned events instead. But, your decorations were really amazing and people got to enjoy them while they were up.

Wow...sorry you didn't have more trick or treaters...'specially since you had such cool decorations! We had quite a few but we didn't like the older kids that came by.

We root for the Lions...even though we think it is a losing cause...

Hi Parker.

You are so right about diabetes. It's a terrible disease and one of our dear friends was just diagnosed with it... and he's only eight years old. I'm going to put the diabetes badge on my sidebar too!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Parker. I've been very remiss about posting and visiting lately. No good excuses. Just time rushing by and busy schedules and stuff like that.

I hope all is well over there with you and yours.

Mom bawt two of dem huge bags of candy-120 pieces each (peanut butter cups, almond joy, hershey bars and kit-kat)! We had about 20 pieces of candy left...she gave dat to da teen boy dat lives across da street dat took a group of 15, yes 15, little beans out trick or treating and even dressed up! Mom walked over der and told him what a great man he is becoming and gave him all da candy and a hug. He's 17 now and we hardly ever see him cuz he's working and taking college classes on top of going to high school. His parents are very proud of him, as they should be. Mom used to baby sit him and his sister sometimes so his beans could go out. His sister is studying to be a doctor!

We got about 20 kids, less than 1/3 of what we had last year. Fine by us, because we have to be locked up in the bedroom until Nana says that's all and switches out the porch light.

We don't get trick or treaters in Australia. Nobody cares about Halloween here. I prefer it that way. Congratulations on your awards!

IT is very good that your brought it to everyboddies attention Parker so you should be the one being thanked! :)
hehe we do not celebrate Halloween in Australia, but we moved to a new house in a different suburb and to our suprise a whole bunch of tiny kids to 15 y/o came last year trick or treating and we had nothing..
This year Momma buys bags and bags so noboddie would be disappointed and all we get was one ring on the doorbell of a group of like 915 y/o girls and that was it..
Momma is just going to send her left over candy to work with Dadda :)

Doodz. We had a very few trick-o-treaters. Maw has TONS of leftover candy. Paw said that's ok, cause he and Maw will eat it all. Paw already finished off most of his favorites. He inhales proper chocolate candies.

I don't blame your Mom and Dad for being disappointed. I wonder where all the sticky beans went? They missed out not coming to your house!

Congratulations on your awards! They're very well deserved.
