We Have A New Neighbor!
Powder: Kitties, this awful! We have a new neighbor. He has moved in with the cute little sticky bean next door. I have always liked the little sticky bean (from afar!) But now, I just don't know...she's... SOB...gone to the dogs!

A Mommy Meme
The fun kitties at The Kitty Krew and Crew's Views tagged my Mommy for a meme - it took a little while to for her to agree to join in - but I kept asking nicely with my love eyes, and she cannot say no to the love eyes!
Here are the rules;
"Either (1) post 7 facts about yourself AND photos OR (2) post 10 facts about yourself with no photos, OR (3) post a childhood picture of yourself."
So - - - Take it away Mommy!

Hi kitties, Parker's female 'rent here, and I am going to show you a few photos of me!
Here's my shadow at Lake Tahoe!
Here I am in my car at a stop sign in O Hi O.

Hi kitties, Parker's female 'rent here, and I am going to show you a few photos of me!

Now for the facts -
I am bad at math and that's why there are 3 photos of me and 7 facts!
My career is in health care at a very big hospital. I help beans feel better.
I was VERY allergic to kitties until I was about 19 years old.
I was a vegetarian until 5 years ago when I was diagnosed with Diabetes. It's very hard to be Diabetic AND a vegetarian. I couldn't stop being Diabetic, so I had to stop being a vegetarian. Now Parker's male 'rent calls me the "world's guiltiest carnivore".
I was adopted when I was 6 weeks old - I never knew the people who gave me up, but that's OK with me. I was very fortunate to have been adopted by the world's best parents! I am also an only child. It's safe to say I was a little spoiled growing up!
I enjoy both Shakespeare and Southpark.
Someday the other 'rent and I would like to live in Colorado, maybe Southpark : )
Kitties, this was fun! Now I'm gonna' tag any other kitty mommy who would like to play!
Big mommy 'rent smoochies to all of you!
PS - Kitties - go look and laugh, we're on Wendy's LOL Spot! It's sooooo funny!!!

Easy Like Sunday ?
Happy Mother's Day to all you groovy Moms!
The rent's are getting ready to leave us on Thursday for 5 whole days! They are going to a place called Lake Tahoe. I don't know where it is, but they have to fly to get there. They are celebrating their 11th anniversary. And they are going to take a ride in a helicopter!
Rudy-Toots celebrates his 10th birthday on Wednesday! He gets to have a special post that day. Parker is none too happy about that! Puff and me have our 11th Gotcha' Day a week from today and the 'rents won't even be here! That's just wrong!
Our sitter is coming Wednesday night. She's very nice and gives us treats. Diamond and Rudy are in love with her. I don't let her see me very much when she's here. Maybe this time I will. I just don't know...
Well, I need to go and make sure Parker hasn't tried to stow away in Daddy's suitcase for the squillionth time.
Have a groovy Sunday/Mom's Day!
Love,
Powder

Formerly Feral Friday
We are in an ice storm, the computer is still slow (the guy is coming this morning we hope!) and there is snow coming after all of the ice. It's enough to make a kitty verrrrrrry cranky!

Thrilled Thursday 13 - Why I like It When Mommy Comes Home
Mommy will be taking the big silver thing home and will be lovin' on all of us this evening!
Here's 13 reasons that this is a good thing!
- It's like the world's furriest pajama party. We all get to play and snuggle in the big bed!
- Treats, lots and lots of treats!
- She cooks more than Daddy. I like to snoopervise from the chair in the kitchen.
- She knows all of our best skritchy spots.
- She sings to me, I love Motown in Mommy's voice!
- She plays tinsel wand a lot longer than Daddy will.
- MMMMmmmmmm, paw massages!
- Sheet mice time!
- Mommy moooshes our stinky goodness just right!
- She plays "chase the kitty" and "what's in the bag?"
- She might take a nap or two in the afternoons! Heaven!
- She likes salmon for dinner, Daddy will grill it for her and we all get some!
- This trip, she has no "outside appointments" and will spend lots of time with us!
Bonus thing, Knowing we are loved so very much makes us very happy!

Thursday 13 Edition 3 - About My Mommy
In eight days Mommy will be home for a visit. That's a lot of sleeps from now, so to make myself feel closer to Mommy and for her to feel closer to me, here's 13 things about my Mommy.
- She was VERY allergic to cats and rabbits till she was 19. She always loved cats, but couldn't touch them. One day she got near her friends 3 cats and her throat didn't swell up anymore.
- She got her first cat very soon after - T-Gray, the first "One Who Came Before."
- She works in Behavioral Health Care. She is a Social Worker by training and she helps lots of hospitals help sick people by teaching them how to run inpatient units.
- She travels. A Lot. An awful lot!
- She and Daddy will be married 9 years next month.
- She was adopted at 6 weeks old.
- Both her Mommy and Daddy have passed away, she was an only child.
- She is originally from the mitten state. Lions and Tigers and Pistons rule!
- Mommy loves Motown music! Trust me, when she's home it's the Temptations (not the treats!), the Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye...well, you get the idea.
- She makes GREAT egg salad.
- She was a vegetarian until she was diagnosed with Diabetes 3 years ago. It's very, very hard to be Diabetic AND a vegetarian. She used to say, "I won't eat it if it had a face." She now claims to be the world's guiltiest carnivore.
- She is addicted to Diet Coke/Coke Zero and CAN tell the difference between Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi.
- She loves me and my siblings and my Daddy very, very much.
Bonus "thing" - If she had it to so all over again, she would have been a vet.

Look Who Mommy Met Today! Bob! A Cat!
As predicted, Mommy couldn't not go to the shelter in O Hi O (yeah, I know, bad grammar, but that's how I talk!). She spent the afternoon getting to know the kitties there. She can't volunteer 'till she goes through an oryintashun, but they let her meet and cuddle some fabulous felines. I just don't know how to feel about this. Daddy said that I should be happy that Mommy gave some homeless kitties a little lovin', but that's just what I don't like! The lovin' should all be for me! She's my Mommy! Mommy told Daddy that the shelter In O Hi O is way smaller than Wayside Waifs, but it was very clean and the people seemed to be taking good care of the cats. Mommy said hello to all of the feline residents, but there was one that she really got a "kitty-jones" for. That would be Bob. He's orange and has been there since 2005! The following is the shelter's description of Bob:
"Bob is a 2 1/2 old orange tiger. Bob came to our shelter with a tail injury and had to have it surgically removed. With a little time and TLC he is doing well. Bob would love to go to a new home with his best friend Cash. healing. Bob is as good as new."
Bob looks like a rumpy manx. But apparently he started life out with a tail. No one at the shelter knew if he ever had a home before. Bob was snoozing in a wicker basket when Mommy met him. She said he woke up, squinted at her and chirped "hello!" He then stood up, stretched and sauntered over to where Mommy was sitting and hopped right into her lap (her lap...sigh...). Bob has a wicked loud purr and he's a gentleman with his claws. Mommy melted and spent a long time lovin' on Bob. So everykitty, here's hoping that Bob gets a forever home very soon and that Mommy can resist his handsome and suave ways.
