Hello there kitties! It's ME! - RUDY! with your Rudy Report! It's fun to have a nap with Daddy - he has a cool sense of humor. He was trying to give me bunny ears. I was trying to sleep. Silly Daddy! We are happy to see that Parker is now grooming herself and has gained some more weight. She sends her love and thanks to all of you who have sent good wishes and purrs. Soon she will be well enough to pose for some photos and be back on her own blog.
My furs are growing back and it feels wonderful. They are soft and smooth and I am glad I have more of them now that it's cooler. Mommy and Daddy have spotted a feral kitty outside that they are now feeding and trying to catch. He's orange like me and we have named him Rogue since he is a wanderer. When we catch him, he'll go to the shelter for a wellness check and a neuter. If they can socialize him, he'll go up for adoption, if not he'll come back here to his territory and we'll set up a little shelter for him. As of now he won't come anywhere near Mommy or Daddy.
Mommy is getting ready for our little shelter's "Strut Your Mutt" that is on October 15th. Diamond gets to go but us kitties are going to take a pass on all of the canine fun.
I also hear a rumor that the 'rents are leaving us in a few weeks for some "alone time". Our awesome sitter will come, so I guess I am OK with that.
Keep those tails high kitties!

The 'Rents Return!
Well kitties, the 'rents got home safe and sound. They said that they had a great time, but they missed us very much. We missed then very much as well! So it was a great homecoming. They showed us some pictures of where they were. Look at this photo kitties! What in the world??? I don't think that we have these in O Hi O (and I'm kind of glad that we don't!).

Puff and Powder's Day at the Vet
Puff and Powder got their geezer geriatric wellness checks from Dr. Joe yesterday. Getting them there is always so much fun. Puff was pretty OK about going in the PTU...Powder was an entirely different story. The 'rents had a pretty good game plan. First they closed the door between the kitchen and the living room. Then Mommy brought out a can of stinky goodness and started to call for us. We came a runnin' to the kitchen for an unexpected treat. While Mommy kept us busy, Daddy closed the doors between the hallway and the dining room and went to get 2 of our PTU's. He then quickly opened the hallway doors and slid in. That's when all of the fun started. Powder jumped from our food table and tried to escape. Too bad she's not big enough to open a door. Mommy grabbed her and had to give her a little scruff. Daddy held the PTU at an angle and Mommy sort of stuffed her inside. All of this happened with no scratches! YAY! Puff was slinking around the kitchen and dining room trying to be very, very small. Good plan, but it didn't work. Puff was picked up and put in her PTU without much of a fuss. The end result was a 7 minute drive to Dr. Joe's with a chorus of calico singing. Rudy and I stayed behind and gave ourselves a bath to calm our nerves. We were just glad it wasn't us going to see Dr. Joe. He's very nice and everything, but we just aren't the visiting type.
The gals didn't even have to wait in the waiting room. By the time Mommy checked them in, off to the exam room they went. Puff continued to try to be very, very small and slink away, but once again her plan was foiled. Dr. Joe poked and prodded and pressed and looked at her toofies and weighed her and gave her a rabies shot. Puff was pronounced VERY healthy for an 11 year old kitty and her toofies are perfect!
Powder was subjected to all of the same things once Mommy extracted her from her PTU. Dr. Joe had a few extra surprises up his sleeve for our littlest sister. Powder not only had a rabies shot, she got a steroid shot to see if it may help her "anxiety itching". You see, sometimes Powder gets so anxious she will scratch herself 'till she has a Boo-Boo. I've talked about her shyness and anxiety a lot and both Dr. Joe and our last VET the wonderful Dr. Sundahl have tried everything to make Powder more comfortable being Powder. We'll see if this helps. Powder got a great report - and her toofies are perfect as well. They even looked at our ::whispers:: poop! And they said that looked good! Beans are strange, aren't they? Puff and Powder were put back in their PTU's (they were thrilled to get back in them!) and Mommy gave the VET many green papers. The VET gave her Puff and Powder's report card and rabies tags and back in the car they went. After 7 more minutes of a calico chorus everyone was home. Powder went straight-away under the bed and Puff went directly to the litter box. Daddy said that the experience must have scared the, well you can just guess what he said.

I am glad that my sisters are in great health. I hope the shot helps Powder, she came out from under the bed and had a nice lunch. She took a nap on a radiator and was all lovey-dovey with Mommy. I guess all is forgiven and all's well that ends well.
Now let's get back to the business of getting ready for Santa!

A Very Bad Fur Day...
You see my little friend? The one with the Donald Trump hairstyle? This poor kitty is being forced to wear Mommy's fake hair ponytail scrunchie. Both she and Daddy think this is pretty hilarious.

They laugh and snort and laugh some more...
You don't think they'd do that, do you???

Tattle Tail Tuesday - C.C.L.
It is no secret to anyone who knows my Mommy that she holds the feline population very close to her heart. As a result, many friends and family frequently give the gift of "kitty" to her on special occasions. Since my Mommy is a squillion years old, she has a vast collection of kitty (and doggy) holiday ornaments. Because of these cherished gifts, we have our very own tree. The main tree is in the foyer and our tree is in the living room decorated with kitty and doggie goodness. You are invited to biggify for extra oohs and aahs if you are like-minded. Anyway, there is a tattle tail point to this long story...

Last week, there was a holiday fair where Mommy works. One big table was chock-full of kitty and doggie stuff. So you can guess where Mommy was - she was mooning over all of the potential goodies that Santa might bring us if we are good...ahem...
Anyway, unbeknownst to Mommy, there was a news photographer shooting photos for a story about the fair. She later walked up to Mommy and asked her about the festivities. Mommy, being the good employee, waxed on about the charity that this fair will benefit, how much it is needed, etc., etc. AND at the end she mentioned that the kitty toy she was eyeing up might be enjoyed by moi!
So...do you think that the news photographer put Mommy's photo in the paper and quoted her on the charity and how much good it was doing the community? OR did she put Mommy's photo in the paper quoting her saying "oooh, my cat would LOVE this toy"? If you guessed the cat toy quote, you win!

Later that evening, Daddy read the newspaper article and said, "well ...if there was ever any doubt in town that you are a C.C.L. (crazy cat lady), it's gone now." It was not long after that comment that Daddy got a little bop on the head. Hee-Hee!!
