First, the Front and Back of Mommy's Favorite T-Shirt
Megan over at Bad Kitty Cats tagged Mommy to list seven strange things about herself. I live with Mommy and I can tell you that there many strange things about her - this will be easy. Mommy is going to let me tell you about seven of them.
Here I go!
She's the world's guiltiest carnivore - Mommy was a vegetarian for many years. She always said she would never eat anything with a face. Three years ago she was diagnosed with Diabetes and had to cut way down on the amount of carbohydrates that she eats. Now she eats meat, but always feels bad about it.
She loves cloudy days - Now being a cat, I have never met a sunbeam I didn't like. (Hi Anastasia!) But Mommy loves a cloudy day with a cool breeze. Maybe it's because she has very fair skin and no fur to protect her, but she avoids being out in the sun. I find this very, very strange.
She was severely allergic to cats and rabbits as a child - Pretty awful for a kid who loved kitties! She would swell up and couldn't breath. Mommy thinks she developed an immunity by slowly exposing herself to cats over the years. By the time she was 19 she could handle being around one cat, eventually more. (Thank goodness!)
She knows all the words to just about every Motown song - Growing up in Detroit in the early/mid sixties had a lot to do with that.
She parallel parks better than 99% of the people in the world - Mommy said her Daddy taught her how to park and he was an engineer on the big freighters on the Great Lakes. I guess engineers can be pretty precise and park good...
For her last job she drove over 900 miles every week - She had to visit a lot of hospitals for her job, many of them were in remote places that did not have airports. She had to drive. A lot. Every week. She didn't enjoy that very much and had to be away from home. Today, she could walk to work if she wanted to!
She hates to talk on the phone for more than a minute at a time - Mommy said to say this - "if you had to be on call for years and years, you would hate to talk on the phone too!"
So there you have it (only) seven strange things about my Mommy. Strange or not, she's my Mommy and I love her more than tuna juice! That was fun Megan! Thanks!
*p.s. Purrs to Oscar's family - you are in my prayers

All humans are a little weird. My mom hates talking on the phone, period! She avoids it at all costs.
It is clear you love your mom (even if you think she's weird) and she loves you. :)
Very good list, Parker. Your mom sounds very nice. Our mom doesn't like answering the phone, so she likes caller id. Then she knows when she has to answer the phone!
Purrrrrrs, China Cat & Willow
Great Meme Parker!! And Maw lufs the T-shirt. Maw used to have one that had a picture of a cat on it and it said, "Humans should be fixed." Tee hee.
Maw was on call for years and years too and she HATES THE PHONE also. She really hates to hear it ring. She has a cell phone, but it's always turned off.
Luf, Us
BTW, our Maw is REALY weird too, so don't feel bad.
that was great MrsParkersMommy!! our mommy can't parallel park for nuffin (then again, she can't drive in a straight line or back up in a straight line eifur).
i'm so glad your mommy doesn't have to drive so much for work anymore!
with the exception of something with a trailer, my mom can parallel park almost anything. it's fun to be able to do something that lots of other people find challenging.
Our mom can paralel park her car and some a little bigger but she has trubbul wif dad's van, it takes her like 3 tries afore she can get it rite. Mom's are all a little weerd. It is because they are not cats and therefore not purrfekt!
Parker, it was nice to learn more about your mom! Our mom doesn't like to talk on the phone to strangers-just the MIG when he calls from Irak, our gramma or our Ant Kat. she likes the caller id!
I do not think your mom sounds strange, she sounds very wonderful! I really like that t-shirt a lot.
It is great that your mom does not have to do all that driving anymore!
That was a lot of fun. I like learning about Mommies, they are all just as unique as we are.
Latte

hehehe, you have a wunnerful mommy and I enjoyed learnin' about her! And ya know what, she has some stuff in common with my momma -- momma hates talkin' onna phone, too, and she likes cloudy, cool days!
Kittyhugs and purrs from MaoMao!
Parker your mom bean seems furry nice ~ congrats on being part of such a great family :)
My Lady said that she is a very good parallel parker, too! Her best friend calls her the Queen of maneuverability. She also hates to talk on the phone and rarely answers her. She always waits until they leave a message to see if why they are calling will take a long time or not. Your momma is way cool and I really like that t-shirt.
Parker, I really like your Mummy's t-shirt!
My Mum HATES to talk on the telephone too! I can't believe how many Mum's don't like to talk on the phone. That's why my Mum LOVES e-mail. She e-mails people instead of phoning them : )
I don't think your Mum is strange at all - she is very, very similar to my Mum.
Your mom sounds cool. And our mom loves that t-shirt.
I really enjoyed learning about your mom! How nice she can walk to work. Mom and Dad drive 90 miles round trip a day. Mom hates it, and has only done it for 20 years cause Dad does all the driving! And she hates to talk on the phone too!
Tara
