Daddy was the hero of the weekend and gave us some deck time. Mommy, well, she'd on my list because I hear that I am going to the groomers next Monday. Unceremoniously dumped off in my PTU for a shave and a haircut. That's no way to treat a rockstar like me. Never mind that I won't let her comb me - never mind that I have mats on my butt and my back...I don't wanna' get shaved! 'Rents...sigh...
Anyway, it's hot and I am told that I will feel much better after I have the mats gone. I think I feel fine now!
So kitties, just don't be like me and let your beans brush you.
Keep your tail high and mat free!

I don't get brushed but I have short sleek furs so I don't think it matters.

i love being brushed but mommy does a bad job and i have knots. when she gets both hands back...i will have to go get my legsshaved!!!
Rudy, we enjoy being brushed, especially Derry, so we've never had to go for a haircut. But angel Chumley, whom we never met, used to get matts quite badly on his hind end and wouldn't let the mom brush him. He'd go to the groomer's a few times a year and have his hind end and tummy shaved, but he LOVED being shaved! He'd lie on his back, all his legs in the air and let the groomer have at him with the clippers. But she had to restrain him when it came to the brushing. LOL.

We all love being brushed. We're sorry you have to be shaved but we're sure you will feel a lot better afterwards.

We don't likes to be brushed either but thankfully we are mostly short haired and haven't been threatened with the haircut yet. We hope you are OK!!! :)

We wish Bailey would listen to your advice. She hates being brushed but because of her long fur she needs it. Don't feel so bad. Every six months Bailey gets shaved too. We would make fun of her but she tends to smack.
We love our brushies, too, Rudy! We line up for 'em and it's like a forest of cattails around here when the brush comes out. But Sammi, "The Maine Coon Man", did get quite a workout this morning --oh, those stubborn base-of-tail mats!

We heard a rumor somewhere in the blogosphere about the big trim coming up for you. Mom catsit's Patches and he has to get those cuts too because he has horrible mats and his mom isn't great about grooming. He loves his lion cut when he gets it.
Well, we hope you get lots of treats after you get that haircut, Rudy.

We are kinda glad all we have to put up with is baths! Teri remembers when she got her first Cornish Rex cat way back in 1988, that the vet she worked for said with a smile 'At least poop will never stick to their butts', hahameow!
