I never thought about getting on the table but ours doesn't have a nice blanket like yours.
There is enough room on the dining table for you both, I see! We are allowed on ours too - we made up the rule that says so!

Tables are the best place. Mom and Dad do not eat on ours because Mom has her sewing stuff on it. She keeps a quilt up there for us all the time.
