The Wild Life...

...in O Hi O. The birds and Tick and Tock (and a dozen or so of their squirrely pals) continue to enjoy the birdy buffet. These photos were taken earlier this week.

But something wonderful happened yesterday! The temperature started to climb and a lot of our snow is disappearing! Mommy says that hope springs eternal and that maybe we are finished with the sub-zero weather for the season.
So in the spirit of hope, Mommy and Daddy bought this and some catnip seeds.
If the snow melts and the temperature starts to climb, time outside on our deck can't be too far off! WooHoo!
So, in other news, my boo-boo is healing, but I still look like someone clawed me in the kisser. I might show you some photos later this week. There is no infection and it does not hurt. I've also been given some sweet awards and I need to tell you about those! Stay safe and warm and well kitties - and I hope you have a special Valentine to be sweet to. As many of you know I have a twisted relationship with this rogue Tabby. Maybe I'll make him a little somethin'...who knows...

We are so glad it doesn't snow here. It looks pretty, but boy it must get OLD after awhile. The birds looked like they were enjoying the buffet. Hope your plants do good. Mommy planted a few seeds in the greenhouse and some of them are already coming up. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

Fresh catnip! I need to motivate my mom to plant some, so that we can have fresh catnip this year too. I hope that your kisser injury hasn't impaired your smooching ability.

Oh boy! Nip. Mom, dad and Jonesie were cleaning out the garden yesterday and one of the areas they cleared out was the catnip patch. More plants will need to be put in but here are plenty of survivors from last year. Yay!

We know you must be so tired of snow. It may snow here once every few years, but does not stay. I hope you will be able to go on the porch soon!

Hey Parker, I'm glad your boo-boo is healing!
It's been in the 60-70 degree range here; maybe we can send some of that toward O-hi-O!

Look at all those tasty fev-vers out there!
We get partridges in our garden sometimes, and we call them the tick tocks because that sounds like what they are saying.

It seems like the birdies come out more when there is snow on the ground. Maybe they have trouble finding foods?

I am glad your ouchie is getting better, Parker!

Almost all of our snow is melted! And it's going to be warm this week (upper 40's, 50s) and they're only calling for rain! Woo hoo!

I hope you get some quality time on your deck soon :-D

I am so sorry to hear about your boo boo! I missed visiting this week, so I missed all of the drama. I hope it is healing well. I have a boo boo under my chin that I scratched myself.

If you are attending the inaugural ball maybe you can use some concealer to cover up your booboo. All of our snow in VA melted too! We miss it, though.
