Try to imagine me on the top of that chimney. You can see lots of stuff from that high up!
(and yes, that is Santa's Sleigh - he leaves it here all year!)
Here's an old photo of the back of our home to give you perspective.
Here's my route - railing, taller railing, low roof, tall roof, chimney...
Easy Peazey!
Here's another photo of our deck (pre-chicken wire) for perspective.
Daddy had to climb up to the roof to catch, er, ah, I mean rescue me. It was quite dramatic for both Mommy and Daddy, for some reason, they don't think I belong on the roof.
There are no actual photos of me getting caught, er ah, I mean rescued. The 'rents were both too worried about getting me down than getting the camera. I fear I am grounded unless both Mommy AND Daddy are on the deck together.

Wow, Parker - that does sound like a lot of fun! I'd like to join you up there sometime!
Yikes Parker-that sounds scary and fun at the same time-but not the grounded part! That sounds horrible! We're glad your daddy was their to "rescue" you!!

Big big hugs~~~~
Haha wow Parker how did you do it?!
I just can;t get past my momma and dadda let alone onto the roof.. woah!! The things you could see and smell MMMmmmmmm
Plus it is much fun being the center of attention no matter what the excuse :)
Wow, that's really high up. Of course we know cats are quite adept at high places (like Luna on our upstairs ledge). But still, be careful :)
You know Parker, every time I climb up on the back fence dad comes and "rescues" me too! Don't they trust us?

Oh my goodness Parker! We can see why your humans were worried. Please be careful - we wouldn't want you to get hurt!
Kudos, Parker, kudos.
Parents... What's the big deal. You had an adventure. You're fine. Everybody's happy.
Parker,
That sounded an amazing adventure. I'm in awe of you.
My Mom told me that her previous lilac Point Siamese cat, Henry (1985 - 2004)once climbed on the roof and then fell down the chimney. He arrived in the hearth covered in soot and was so black she didn't even recognise him until he miaowed. He wasn't hurt but he was very dirty and he hated having a bath but there was no option.
So climbing on a roof could be dangerous; be very careful next time!
Dearest Parker,
WOW!!! How very dramatical! Wasn't you the least bit skeert? Dang...you are one brave womans. And, DANG! You must be very important to have Santa Claws park his sleigh on your roof!
Very truly yours,
The Whiskers and Purrs Gang
Parker
:::YIKES::::
Way up there????
Well I can understand why your Mom and Dad were so worried, and your Dad climbed all the way up there to 'rescue' you! Wowie...Ping used to love to climb up on top of our roof when he was allowed outside. One time he was up on the roof when Momma came home around 10 o'dark thirty and she had to talk him off of the roof. You should've seen that! Guess what? She finally convince him to jump into the tall hedge where she grabbed him and brought him in. Ping has been the adventurer in our family!

What an exciting adventure Parker. We can't get on our roof except for the time dad was working on it and we climbed the big ladder. We wish we could have got up there with you.
that is an ultra cool lookin chimney but i think your mom and dad may be right... i'd stay away.
Parker, you are quite the adventuress! My mommy said that was very scary, but I think it sounded great! Why wouldn't a kitty belong on the roof?
Whoa, Parker! You are quite the monkey climbing all the way up there! Did you get a chance to check out Santa's sleigh???
Wally, Ernie & Zoey
Man but what a fun place to explore. It's just specist if it's okay for him to climb on the roof but not you!
Wow!! Great adventure! Extra points for freaking out the humans.

What an exciting adventure you had, Parker! Could you see lots of interesting things from way up there? Just be careful!
You are crazy brave, girlie!!! Let me add my hearty congrats along with Kaze L & C for freaking out the beans. Bwhahahah.

maybe your beans can climb with you next time then you can explore and be safe.
Dang Parker that was very brave of you. Sometimes Scotchy gets up on top of the roof too. She climbs up the porch railing and then onto the covering for the porch and then on up to the roof. Meowmy thinks that she has to be rescued but truth be told she does it all the time with out any help.

Dood. We see how you are now grounded. Bummer.
Why does your Santa sleigh stay up year round? Do you expect him to show up in July?
Luf, Us

Does Santa come to your house often? Do you have a special "in" with him? Not that we're ever bad and need special influence with Santa or anything..................

Purrs Mickey

Parker - How brave of you. Tom and Phoebe don't climb like that, but Trixie did crawl out of the Big Boy's second-floor window onto the roof once. Thank goodness she was back inside before Crazy Lady ever found out about it. She would have died right there on the spot!!
:o) Thomas, Phoebe and Trixie
Parker what a daring young lady you are!
Oh Parker, that sounds like quite an adventure!! We hope you still get to go out after that....
Hugs & Purrs,
Sammy, Festus & Emma
What an adventure! I'm sorry you're grounded, but I bet it was so worth it. That is very cool that Santa stores his sleigh on your roof. Did you get a chance to see if he left some kitty toys in it?
You are quite a climber/jumper to get up that high, Parker. I can see why your folks freaked and grounded you. I think it's really cool that Santa parks his sleigh on your roof year round. I'm glad you didn't fall in the chimney. That wouldn't have been good at all.
LOL! That's hilarious! We used to let our cats play outside in our fenced in yard, until a neighbor stopped by to tell us that one of our cats was on the next door neighbor's roof. Now the cats don't get to go outside and play in the backyard unattended anymore.
Auntie Parker, I love gettin up on the chimbly too. Only I have a ladder ta climb up an down, which makes it a lot easier!
Ayla
