It's very sad a life tree was down. And cut by piece and piece. But standing another side, these pieces could have another way to use, it represent giving another live or another job to do, also could be a new reborn :) And the roots of the tree still there, the tree could have new branches in very very soon :> You will see the green leaves very soon!
Mom nearly cries when she sees downed trees. That tree was very, very old. Hopefully, the cut wood will be put to good use. And of course, thankfully, no people or pets were hurt when it fell.
oh, that is furry sad; we had sooooo many big ol' trees kilt by ice last year (and some this year). our daddy cuts firewood all year long for us, so we appreciates how much work went into making the "before" into the "after". still sad, though, for the tree to die. *sigh*
Thare wuz a story on teevee last nite about sum peeple neer me that felt so bad about removing a tree hurt in a storm that thay hired a man to make whut wuz left into a big totum pole!
Wow! It really must have been a bad storm to knock down such a huge tree. I wish they could do something good with the wood from that tree so it would not be wasted.
We are sad that such an old tree didn't survive the storm, but hopefully a new one will be planted in its place and the wood will be used. Mom loves old trees like that. She says they have character.
Good golly, that was a gigantic tree when you compare it to the size of those trucks! We've had that happen across the street a few years back here in St. Louis. Yikes! Purrs and headbutts, Sabrina, Sam and Simon

Wow, that storm really did a lot of damage! It is sad that the trees had to be cut down. It looks like there's lots of trees still standing though!
Wow. Somebody's gonna have some wood to burn. Saves a bit on the upcoming heating bill for this winter.
I hope it's a mild one.

I understand that Nature has its way of pruning trees, and that the strong survive and all that, but it's still sad to see a big old tree destroyed.
Wow! That poor tree. But now, look at your view!
i think you should plant another tree.
I am glad that you were not squished by that tree. Storms can be scary and dangerous!

Man ... there's something very sad about that.
Hopefully, no one was hurt. But at least you have some firewood for the cold winter.

Goodness gracious! That's just tragic on soooo many levels. I'm glad you and yours weren't hurt in that storm, Miss Parker.
Wow! Clean up is taking a while! But those trees are huge!
Jeepers! When you sharpen your claws on a tree, you don't fool around!
