If any of you kitties have not read Shel Silverstein you should. Yesterday Victor and his mom made a reference to him in their post and it struck a chord with Mommy. My Mommy loves his books and has many of them. When Victor's Mom mentioned "Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout" Mommy just had to post this poem.

Hehe, that's a funny poem :-)
I have never heard about Shel Silverstein but it really seems to be worth a read! Thanks, Parker!
Thanx for sharing this really funnily quirky poem, Parker. :)
There's mention of spice HAM, so would it mean that it's your fav poem from the book too? hee hee
This is a funny poem. We have never heard of Shel Silverstein either, but we just followed your link. We liked Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too as well.
Mr Karate had that book, and loved it when Mom would read to him. Mom remembers Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout very well!
Poor Sarah met an awful fate? What fate? What happened?
We luffs Shel Silverstein in this house, his books as well--The Giving Tree and The Missing Piece just to name two.
Got your email about trouble with my site and I'm so sorry about the inconvenience. Is it a recent thing or has it been happening all along? I'm trying to figure out if I added something that's causing it.
What a fun poem! Thanks for sharing and for the recommendation. :)
Oh Parker
You are filled with the most interesting observations...this was a great poem and we are so glad you shared it with us....

Momma had forgotten all about that poem. Thanks for reminding her. :)

Pixie wants to know why the brown bananers had to go in the trash.
The Woman is good at remembering to take the garbage out. The Awesome Man apparently can not remember that Tuesday and Friday are trash days.

What a great poem. I have never heard of Shel Silverstein, but I have loved both poems and will seek out more. I am sure Bonnie's Mom appreciates this.
We like dat poem but we don't worry about ending up buried in garbage cuz mom is really good at amembering to take it out.
That's one of Mommy's favorite books!
