#1 - They're Home!
Mommy and Daddy came home safe and sound yesterday. That's the very best thing to be thankful for today!
This is a picture Mommy took coming in to Chicago. It made me start to wonder - how many kitties live in Chicago?? All those big, tall buildings! There must be a squillion kitties in every one of those buildings! Whew! (That's # 2).
#3 - This beautiful necklace was waiting for Mommy in the mail. She ordered it from Artsy Catsy. The kitty on the necklace looks an awful lot like me. I am honored that Mommy wants something hanging around her neck that looks like me! (That's #4) She already has me on her purse. She got a cell phone charm from Artsy Catsy last year that has my face on it (it's very itty bitty, so it's hard to take a picture of that you can see!) I'm happy that Mommy also wants me hanging around on her purse. (That's #5)
Petey went with grace, dignity, and calm. He was truly ready and it lightens my heart to know he’s somewhere where there’s endless bacon, big puddles of sunshine perfect for napping, toys to play with, big cats to pester, and no more pain.
The kind, loving messages you sent throughout this journey, but especially last night, helped me stay strong for Petey.
I will be forever grateful for your love and support.
Please hug your kitties extra hard for me, raise a glass to toast the Best Boy in the World, and eat more bacon! Petey would have wanted it that way.
So Petey, we did.
Then I heard this news from Victor Tabbycat: Oh my Bast! I just readed the most HORRIBLE story! Does anyone know if we can do ANYFING? Town Puts $5 Bounty on Feral Cats Who can we contact? I don't even have words in my vocabulary that describes how sad this makes me. Are there really humans that are this cruel? I asked Mommy to send an e-mail to the town's council people and she did. You should get your humans to send an e-mail telling them how you feel about it - if you go here you can do that. And here's what I'd like to send the Mayor and Council of Randolph, Iowa:
(only it would be the real thing!)
(that's #6)
# 7 & #8 - We have two new members in our family! They are of the feline persuasion, and they are larger than me. I am going to introduce them tomorrow. AND there is going to be a contest. Come back tomorrow for the introduction and the details!
#9 - It has been sunny here in O Hi O for the last 2 days. Some of the snow is melting and oh boy, have we ever been taking naps in the sunny spots! I am very thankful for the sun. I almost forgot how wonderful it is!
#10 - We only yakked 3 times for our sitter! I'm thankful that she said she'd come back and watch us anyway! We were all very well-behaved! She said so! Yup! We were!
#11 - Mommy and Daddy have no plans to go away again for a long time. I'm really thankful about that! It's very stressful when they both go away!
#12 - Mommy thinks that I should wear my John Deere cap for St. Patricks Day. I am thankful that she's kidding (I hope!)
#13 - I saved the most important thought for last. Petey the best boy-cat in the world was lovingly helped to the Bridge yesterday by his humans. Petey fought lymphoma, went into remission, but sadly it returned. It made my Mommy and Daddy's eyes leak a great deal when they read the news while they were in Chicago and it broke my little kitty-heart when they told me about it. Petey's humans said this about Petey and how we should remember him:

Smooches to you, and to every kitty...

Those were great things to be thankful for. We are happy to hear that your Mom and Dad are back safe and sound too. We were also very touched by Petey...Momma's eye leaked alot yesterday.

It is very sad that Petey has gone to the Bridge. :( Our eyes are leaking.
Two new family members? Wow! We can't wait to meet them!
Parker, that's a great thankful list! We are so glad your Mommy & Daddy are home.
We really don't like it even when Mom only goes to work for a few hours. Grampy says he thinks we just tolerate him while Mom's gone, but that's not true. We love our Grampy!
OMC! BACON!!
Ooohhh!! New kitties in the house! I cannot wait for tomorrow! I hope you are not minding sharing your pad with new kitties, especially if they are bigger than you Parker!
We were so sad to hear about Petey, too. :(
Two new family members? Like, as in Adan's and Boy's kind of new family members? We can't wait to meet them!
We are super glad your mom and dad are back. I hope they are giving you extra cuddles!
love,

Yay that your beans are home! New members in your famiwy? That sounds so exciting!
Only 3 yaks?? That's pretty good. I always love when my mom and dad come home from a vacation. They give us all kinds of extra love. And speaking of extra love, you all have two new members in your family?? How exciting!!

We don't think your new family members are the real life breathing kind. We think maybe they are ceramic, or stuffed, or something.
Those are wonderful things to be thankful for. And we were very saddened about Petey too. He was a strong poodin.

I am so glad your people are back. That is an excellent thing to be thankful for...
That is a super Thankful Thursday 13! We're very interested in the new family members - we can't wait till tomorrow!!!!
Nice Thankful Thursday! Bacon! What a wonderful way to pay tribute to your friend Petey who went to the Bridge.

I'm glad your beans are safe and sound at home. Thank goodness the snow is melting! The sun is shining here and the windows are open. We got 12 inches!
Two new cat family members? How exciting! I can't wait to meet them.
We are sending a letter and making a call to that evil Mayor. He thinks nootering and spaying doesn't help! I say nooter him and stop the spread of stoopid.
Parker, you do have lots of lovely things to be thankful for. I am glad your mommy and daddy are home again, and are all safe. My mommy signed a petition against the killing of feral cats this morning. She's as upset about it as I am! It was wonderful of you to have bacon in honor of Petey.
A surprise, I can'ts wait to see!!
I's glad the beans are home and safe. It's always greats when theys been away for like a squillion years. Did you gets hugs when they came home?
Two new family members I can't wait to see! ~Queen Snickers
those are great things to be thankful for. Sophie Kitty in the City lives in Chicago!! Did your mom and dad go visit her?
we were so sad about Petey too. Mommy gived us bacon last night while we lit a candle and sang (well, not with bacon in our mouths, that would be disrespektful). I think that laying in the sun and eating bacon would be the most perfekt way to spend my time at the Bridge too!

I am very intrigued by #7 & 8!
My Bean has a tote bag that look like me.
You got two new feline family members...and you think this is good?
Oh My!! I love that your Mommy lets you blog Parker! Genius!
What a blessing to hear that you spoke about Petey in your loving way! Don't forget about that bacon! Hugs

WE are really sad and sorry for Petey's family. We know how hard this has been, we are still just concentrating on breathing and blinking.
I liked this TT. You covered many important issues and the jewels from AC are just lovely
What a thankful kitty you are Parker. Hopefully the new kitties joining you will have such great manners!
Yay for your beans safe at home!!!
I knew you guys would be good :)
I cannot wait to see the new members!!!!!!!!
See ya tomorrow :)

We raise our paws for Petey...
Those are wonderful things to be thankful for. We don't get to eat bacon because Mom hates it - but we are glad that you get to eat some.

I'm glad your Mom and Dad made it back home safely, Parker. And I can't wait to meet your new family members.
Thanks for thinking of Petey and remembering him with bacon. That would have made Petey very, very happy.
