Mancat Monday

Mommy got this poem from a friend. She does not know the author, but she really wants to share it with everyone 'cause it sums up our feelings about the winters here. I hope you enjoy my Mancat Monday poem!

O Hi O Winter Poem

It's winter in O Hi O.
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.

Oh, how I love O Hi O
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave O Hi O
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!

"Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha"

That's a funny poem. We are glad we don't have lots and lots of snow. Snow is yucky.

Funny poem, although I can't relate right now. Your winter is hanging on, and my summer won't go away, either! We've had a week of temperatures in the 30s (mid-80s to mid-90s F), and when Nick and Kate were in Melbourne, it was 41C/105F one day! I hope that the spring sunshine comes soon and melts all the snow in O Hi O. Hey, what did your beans think of 'No country for old men'? Bleak, huh? Hope you all had a great Easter, in spite of the cold.

OK now -- THAT was funny and I know about those midwestern winters!

Hey -- you want to try something? Go stick your tongue on the outside of a window or a metal pole. (Just kidding... don't do that. It's not funny. )

love, Pearl.

Excellent poem! We can substitute Minnesota and North Dakota for Ohio! Probably any cold place would totally agree with the sentiments! Great picture of you Rudy at the end.

Um Rudy - we're a little worried about Mommy. If she shoots diet coke out of her nose when she reads your poem does that mean it's funny?

Hee hee! Momma liked that poem. She's ready for spring, too.
Did you guys have milder winters in KC?

love,
Tazo

I think it would be funny to get frozen to the ground. I would laugh and laugh. And then I might cry a little bit. But the tears would unthaw my feets. I am pretty sure that's what I would do.

Ah yes, very appropriate, Rudy. After our latest 15" snowfall you could substitute the word "Whisk-onsin" and it'd be the same thing here.

LOL, like Rudy. I suppose we all love our home town but give me barmy Sydney anytime, I don't fancy having a frozen furry butt! Hope you had a great Easter.
