I'd like to tell you the whole story about my sister Puff and her great escape attempt. She scared the daylights out of Mommy and Daddy. We were all on the deck enjoying the afternoon and Mommy was snapping away with her pathetic phone camera. We were awaiting the 'nip fest promised to us and doing our normal deck-sniffing and exploring. Next thing we all knew was that my stupid sister Puff squeezed her ample self between the floor and the fence and started dancing around on the platform between the floor of the deck and the top of the garage. I have never, ever seen Mommy and Daddy move so fast! The rest of us were scooped up and unceremoniously dumped in the house. They had to get a VERY tall ladder that daddy climbed up and for a long, long time stood on the ladder and coaxed Puff to him. Mommy stood on the deck and waited. And waited. And waited. See, there is a gap between the floor of the deck and the top of the garage about 8 inches, just enough for Puff to explore every square inch of it. Nothing would get her to come to Daddy for the longest time. Temptations, catnip, stinky goodness...nothin'. She finally sauntered over to him after many many sweet "here kitty, kitty kitties." Daddy snatched Puff and handed her up to Mommy who brought her into the house.Puff is grounded. Permanently. Once that happens she will do it again. Puff made a very poor choice, but one I can appreciate. I am still allowed on the deck as is Powder and Rudy. This is very upsetting to Puff - I feel bad for her, but I like going out on the deck. Soon the weather will be too cold for any of us to go out there and her feeling cheated will pass. Poor choice Sis, poor choice.
In other news I feel all warm and fuzzy...wait...I always feel warm and fuzzy! But I was given this great "I love your blog" award from Beau Beau and Angie and from Skeeter and LC. Isn't that groovy?!? Thank-you so much! I want to give this award to Forty Paws. I love Maw and Paw and all the great kitties that they care for (Hi Dorfie!) Have a great Wednesday everykitty. I leave you with a Halloween out-take shot.
"Rudy is in shock that Daddy still has two hands!"

Hmm I can see why she is grounded! Happy WW
I can understand why Puff is grounded and why your mom and dad moved so fast. Be careful out there! I wouldn't want anything to happen to any of you.
Congratulations on your award! :) It is very well deserved. :)
Cute Hallowe'en outtake. :)
Oh gosh, Puff, you blew it. now you are in trouble.
Paarker.... we are sure after this shot the fur was flying!
Have a fun day and be safe.
Puff.... *sigh* just behave.

Poor Puff! If you guys had a stroller, then Puff could still go out. You guys totally need a stroller. Um, excuse me? Parker's Mom and Dad? Could you please get Parker a stroller? Thanks.
You don't look very happy about that hat. Did you at least score some treats?
EG
the costumes are cute, but not made for you! keep reminding them.
i'm glad that no kitty was harmed in the attempted escape/adventure. are your folks ok?
Uh oh, Puff is grounded forever.
Our doggie brother Beaux often makes escape attempts. Mommy and Daddy chase after him saying some things that little kitties should not hear. Sometimes it take them an hour to catch him and he never comes for treats either. Poor Puff, grounded forevers!
The Siamese who came before used to jump from the second floor deck to the roof. She was no longer allowed out there either...
Yeah I've done that slip through the rails bit and it got me grounded too. Do give Puff my apologies!
Chase
I hope Puff had fun, since she'll never be able to do that again!
The halloween pic is cute. I think you were very patient not to scratch, too.
Congratulations on the award!
Are the beans actually putting a costume on you, Parker?
We can just imagine daddy up there trying to be patient! It's tough being grounded, but now that she has discovered she can do it, she will prolly try again. Maybe daddy can think of a way to cat proof the area?
Puff
Oh my I can understand why your Mom and Dad grounded you. That was very scary! We are so glad no harm came to anyone (excpet maybe adding 10 years onto your Mom and Dad)! Maybe there will be a way in the future where everyone will be able to enjoy the deck if your Daddy can catproof it.

My Mom can totally understand why Puff is grounded. She had to chase and grab Ruckus yesterday when the door didn't shut tight while she had the woofies out for a few minutes. When she came back there was Ruckus in the carport! Jemima just laughed but I have to admit I thought about making a break for it myself.
You actually let your Daddy get that far with the costume?!!?
Puff, Puff, Puff.
Nows you won't gets to go out at all. Bummer.

I agree with the mombean and dadbean. Its just too scary to think that something bad might happen.
---Beezer's mombean
Poor Puff, she really did make a bad decision. I'll bet she is sorry now. But better safe and sorry than in bad trouble.
i'm so furry glad that Puff is safe & sound inside! that is a furry nice award that you got - congratulations!
i'm afraid of Halloween costumes . . . eeek!
heheheehehe good work Puff. You obviously knew exactly what you were doing, scaring the humans is never a bad thing. I am sorry you won't get to go out again but still, perhaps it was all a ploy to get more stinky goodness? x
Oh wow, what an adventure Puff had! I am glad your Mom and Dad got her quickly. If I did that, I would certainly be grounded, too.
Congratulations on your award, Parker! It's so well-deserved. You are a great girlcat!
Thank you for coming to my party and helping to make my birthday the best one I've ever had!
Love and cuddles from Dorydoo.
Wow. I'm surprised she could squeeze through there. I can see why she'd have to be grounded, but it's for her own good.
Congrats on your award. Love the photo. I bet Rudy was also thinking, better you than him ;-)
Poor Puff! But that's what happens when ya break the REALLY IMPORTANT RULES... Ya can drive Mom and Dad crazy, but you can't scare them about yer safety. That nefer pays off.
Skeeter and LC
Congratulations on your award, well deserved!!!!
But isn't grounding a bit harsh? I think you should all get together and demand from the humans to make the deck escape safer instead of grounding poor Puff!!! Especially if she sees that you can still go and she has to stay inside - NOT GOOD!
Humans can be very inventive, I am sure yours will come up with some kind of a solution....
I feel bad for her. It is for her own good, though.
Poor Puff. Angie knows how she would feel if she was grounded for more den one day. Parker is yoo gonna wear dat hat on Halloween?
Glad she is safe, but sorry she got grounded. Can the deck by made safe that she can't get there again?
Poor Puff, mom sez dat she wood add screening around da bottom of da porch railing cuz she woodent be able to stand locking any kitty inside while da rest got to go out.
Are yer beans implying yer a witch?!
Congrats on yer award!
Puff, speaking as an indoor cat, it's not that bad,but then I never went outside. Sorry Puff :(
Neat costume, are you being restrained ,Heehee
I enjoyed reading about Puff's great adventure. I totally understand why she's permanently grounded. I do hope a way can be found to fix the deck so that she can't go that again so she can go out with the other kitties once more. I like your hat, Parker, but it is obvious that you don't, tee-hee. My brother and sister-in-law are home, safe and sound. Yahoo!
I hope Puff will be ok, I am so glad it is ok now~!!!
And Parker, your hat is just good looking on you~! I love it~!!
Puff, trust me, that was not a very smart thing to do. I tried climbing up the plume tree. Mom grabbed me and through me inside and wouldn't let me back out! Now, if I even look at the tree, Mom yells at me and I go the other way if I want to stay out!
Kavan
Concatulations on your award!!! Very well deserved! We luf your bloggie too!
And thank you for bestowing it upon us! We are very honored and humbled. Thank you thank you thank you.
Ok, now your Daddy has a new project. He must totally screen in your 2nd story deck so that Puff can get un-grounded, and so the rest of you will remain safe when you go on the deck.
Big project, almost Halloween in O Hi O, means he better get started before the frost on the pumpkins becomes snow on the deck!!!
