Mommy and Daddy and me live in a cool part of Kansas City that's called "Brookside." It's smack in the middle of the City and is full of neat stores and restaurants. It's "Artsy Fartsy" as Daddy calls it (sorry Artsy Catsy!). Every May they have an Art Fair that's pretty well known. Mommy and Daddy have a tradition of going there every year to buy an anniversary present for themselves 'cause it falls around when they got married (next Tuesday!). Then they go to a bar called the Brooksider and have a anniversary cocktail! May is a special month for our family 'cause Rudy was born on May 13th, Mommy and Daddy's anniversary is the 15th and they got Puff and Powder on May 17th. Lot's of reasons to be happy and celebrate. So, being the fine art connoisseurs that they both are, here's what they picked out this year:
Kitty Heimlich, by Charlie Podrebarac
As you can see, our home has a sense of humor and cats are the predominant theme throughout. Mommy and Daddy have never been big on "cute" kitty stuff, their tastes are more toward the unusual and colorful aspects of felines. I know they are weird, but I love 'em!
Here are some photos of the three hours it didn't rain at the art fair last weekend:
A really bad photo of a cool orange kitty clock
I'm very glad they did not bring this home
Then it started to rain again!
I hope everyone has a peaceful, healing weekend!

May is a very important month for your family! That cat print is very cute and funny! :)
What a neat fair! And I love the print. Dad uses the term "artsy fartsy" all the time too!

Hi Parker! My Mommy's birthday is May 8th. She wouldn't let me tell anyone. But since May is such a happy, festive time for your family, I thought I'd add another happy occassion to the mix!
In New Orleans, where Mommy grew up, they have Jazz Fest and the French Quarter Fest. They're at about the same time. The FQF is the one Mommy really likes. It's a lot like the Fest your beans go to. I bet our Mommy's would have fun together! I posted my Meme.
May sounds like it is lots of fun in your house! The Tall Man refuses to hang things on our walls because they are old plast-her. I don't know what that means but I really like your print!

Ooo we liked the Art festival. It looked like a lot of fun. Very funny cat print. We liked it. In fact Momma likes anything with cats.

What a great picture! Art fairs are fun.
That picture is too funny - we think your mom & dad must have a very good sense of humor!
Mom like funny offbeat cat stuff too! She'd get along great with yours!
Those are great pictures! Mom says the cocktail part is the best after a long day of walking around.
Our Mom loves "offbeat art" (as Dad likes to call it), too. She loves that sculpture. It made her giggle. I'll have to ask her to take some pictures of the "art" we have at our house.

That's a really cool fair! My Foster Mommy loves fairs like this one. She will spend the whole day there shopping till she drops.

Hey Parker! Happy Happy Anniversary to your mom and dad. This is a very good tradition in your family. Our family celebrates all sorts of things in September.
I wonder where the term 'artsy fartsy' came from. we have heard it a few times... it is a very strange term. not that your dad is strange....
have a super wondermous weekend sweet friend
Wowie, Parker, Happy Anniversary to your beans!
My momma's laughin' her head off over that cat print!
