I Have A New Buddy and His Name is Buddy

Isn't Buddy a handsome cat? I fell for his eyes if you want to know the truth. I think we may be kitty soul mates! Buddy is one of the many cats who reside at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. I have been begging Mommy and Daddy to sponsor a kitty there and today they finally said yes. So I looked through all of the very deserving kitties up for adoption and sponsorship and then...I saw those eyes! I read about Buddy and I knew he was the cat for me to sponsor. Here's his story:
"Buddy is a big cuddly polar bear! You would never guess, seeing him now, that he used to be a big-time stuntman in Los Angeles. But it's true - at least we think it is. Unfortunately, his last stunt didn't go so well. When he was found in Hollywood, he had a broken hip, a broken jaw, a broken tail, and a detached retina. Ouch! As a result, he now has trouble making it to the litter box. But you've never seen a guy so happy in retirement. Buddy is so easy-going, he sits in the tub and purrs during his twice-weekly baths."
Sounds like Buddy had a pretty rough life before he made it to Best Friends. I like making new friends and maybe I can send him some treats and goodies!
I have a favor to ask you kitties who know how to do fancy stuff on your blog - how do I link Buddy's name in my sidebar to his page at Best Friends? I went to the help center, but Mommy is too dumb to figure out if the answer is even there! All I want to do is to be able to click on his name and go to his page! I know how to do it in a post, but there is no linky thing when you add photos and captions to your sidebar. Any help sure would be appreciated!
So everykitty, have a sunbath, get some lovin' from your humans and say a little thank-you prayer that you are loved and have a home!
Smooches!

Buddy is a very handsome cat. I am sad that his last stunt went so horribly awry.

I think here is a way to make the picture link: Save the picture in a photohosting site (like Photobucket). Then, add the link to the picture by using the HTML page element (use the URL of the picture). Then, click on "rich text" to view the picture. Then, highlight (click on) the picture. Then, click on the link button. Does that make sense?

Oh Buddy is surely a fine looking mancat and he looks so sweet. BEST FRIENDS is da bomb! We sponsor Cinders -- she is the oldest kittykat there. Last christmas we had Santa Kitty drop off lots and lots of goodies for her.

That is a great thing! If you look on the cat blog help site I did an article on html and I promise it is pretty simple. You basically need to us a "tag" and then you can name it whatever you want.

What happened to this poor baby? Mommy agrees with Oscar's mommy, we'd have a squillion kitties if we could.
We hope he finds a home soon. Until then it is very nice that you're sponsoring him. We think Oscar may be disappointed if Buddy is your "soul mate...."

Daisy has good instructions, and I use those sometimes (she had to give them to me as well...). But if I'm really lazy, I add the picture, then do another page element right under the picture (or right above it) that is a new link list, and I just add that link. That is how I did the brown ribbon for the KOPS march.

Buddy is handsome. He sounds like a wonderful cat. So sad that he had such a rough early life, but how wonderful that he is now at Best Friends!

To link a photo, you need to add an HTML/javascript item to your sidebar, instead of just adding a photo. As Daisy explained, you can host the photo at a site like photobucket, and then you write out the HTML code for the link and the photo.

If you want, you can send the photo and the link to Buddy's profile to me at Dragonheart DOT Sphynx AT gmail DOT com (replace the DOT with . and the AT with @) and I can provide the proper code for you. :)

Wow. He's great! Love those David Bowie eyes. I wonder which movies Buddy has been in. Do you think he knows Brad and Angelina?
