Tuna, It's What's For Dinner!

Weekends here at the Midwestern hacienda can run to the hectic side. Mommy goes to Wayside and Daddy has to go hunting every once in a while on the weekend (he has to keep us in Temptaions and Fancy Feast, right?!?) Anyway, there was a great discussion between our folks on what dinner would consist of this evening.

Daddy - "How about something on the grill?"

Mommy - "Nah - the meat is all in the freezer."

Daddy - "OK, What do you want for dinner then?"

Mommy - "I dunno."

(Daddy hates it when Mommy does that!)

Daddy - "Well, I have to get going, you can figure it out and I'll make it when I get home."

Mommy - "OK."

(Segue to the back porch where I am peacefully co-existing with Rudy and Puff for a change.)

Me - "They should make tuna sammiches!"

Puff - "Yeah! Tuna! MMMMMM!"

Rudy - "Let's give Mommy a message!"

Here is how we gave Mommy the message about tuna;

Puff - "Go get Mommy Rudy, Hissssss"

Rudy - "Hey, you go get her you lazy cow!"

Me - "What a pair of idiots!"

Mommy - "Hey! Knock it off!"

Shortly after the scuffle, Puff was dethroned, I had teleported the tuna message to Mommy, and Rudy had assumed Puff's position on the back porch perch. He wanted to show all of you his big orange behind with this evening's upcoming dinner and I allowed him to just 'cause I'm nice like that. Also pictured is one of his favorite toys, the mean-looking catnip lady. He loves to give her bunny kicks and then drool all over her (Ewww!).

There you have it, high drama in the Midwest on a Sunday morning!
Not exactly healthy gourmet dining for Mommy and Daddy, but we get tuna tonight! Now I just have to figure out how to tell her to put peas in it too!

Wowie, tuna! We loves tuna.

Last time Momma made a tuna casserole for her and Daddy, we Ballicai gave her lots and lots of help. Me and my sisters Marilyn and Dorydoo kept jumping up on the counter, and my other sister Brainball kept talkin' to Momma, like remindin' her that we get a taste, too. And I wanted to get in the casserole dish. We love for her to make stuff with tuna!

It's warm here -- windows are open and we're lovin' it!

That would never happen at my house 'cuz Mom doesn't eat fish (unless it's a Rubio's Fish Taco) ... What we need are some THUMBS!

Hooray for you - Tuna for dinner! We almost got to have tuna on Friday but our Food Lady forgot there wasn't any left so they ate spinach lasagna instead. We were so disappointed until we were informed we will get tuna soon.

Purrrs for tuna,
