Formerly Feral Friday - Love Is Shown In Many Ways

Being a formerly feral kitty, I know how awful it is to feel unloved and sad. Thankfully, I am a lucky kitty because I always get to put formerly in front of the feral. All of this week I've seen an outpouring of love in a lot of ways. We all pull together and help other kitties and their families through the Cat Blogosphere and through CFHF. This post is about another type of love.
Last February a very nice lady where Mommy hunts lost her life in a metal machine. She left behind two young boys. It is a very sad situation. Some of the people Mommy hunts with came up with a great idea to have a bake sale for her two boys by giving them some green papers to help them when it is time for them to go to college. As you can see, we helped Mommy and Daddy bake some human treats for the sale.
MMMmmmmMMM! Muffins and cake!
Puff closely supervised!
They had the bake sale on Thursday. And here is the amazing part - they raised almost 4,000 green papers! Mommy works in a large health care place and she said that the beans who work there were very generous.
Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing if beans were always this loving and kind-hearted? This formerly feral kitty thinks so!
Have a fabulous Friday!

  1. How wonderful that the bake sale was a great success! Your Mom has a kind, loving heart and a gentle spitit, Parker. It would be wonderful if most humans were as generous and kind as the ones that turned out for the bake sale.

It is indeed good that you can say "formerly" before Feral. It is a sad and lonely situation for a kitty, any kitty, and our hearts bleed for those out there hungry and scared. We wish efurryone would spay and neuter so that there wouldn't be so many looking for their forever homes.

It was sad too to hear about the friend of your Mom's who left two young little ones ... but it was with great kindness that so many gave so much.

Your Mom is a very kindhearted and generous lady, you are indeed lucky to have such a warm and loving home to share.

  12. Your mommy is Awesome Parker! It's nice to know that beans can be as nice as all of us kitties are.

And Mommy says thanks for the tip on the fresh nip - though she's not sure that it's going to make it. Apparently some kitty, who shall remain nameless, climbed up on the kitchen counter, then on to the window sill and up the window to steal the nip. When she woke up she found it in the sink looking pretty sorry!
