I may be feeling poorly, but I still have the energy to hiss and swat at the awful disease of Diabetes. I'd like to ask all of my kitty pals to post this on their sidebar for the month of November to increase Diabetes awareness. Diabetes is a rotten, expensive, time consuming and stupid disease that needs to be wiped off the face of the earth and sent down to basement cat.
I'd like to send special smoochies to Zoolatry who designed this great sidebar.
So please kitties, if you can, help me raise awareness.
Smoochies to all of you - I love you all!

WE will post it! Our Dad has that horrible stuff!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very frustrating disease. We have many friends and patients who suffer from this disease and many of them have the worst of the worst long term issues--kidney failure, lack of sensation in the limbs, their foot bones falling in so they can't walk properly. It is very difficult to watch someone's body do that.
ReplyDeleteWe will post it, too!! Our Dad has that horrible disease, too!!

There needs to be more money raised for research, not knocking breast cancer because I'm a woman too, but I wish Diabetes could raise that kind of money.
ReplyDeleteMy son, 23, has had type 1 (insulin dependent) since he was 10. Also our nephew age 30 and moms sister who died Dec. 23 at age 60 had it, as well as my grandmother. All type 1.
A cure must be found!
My 20 year old tabby, Buddy, has had diabetes since November 2003. He went into remission twice, mainly because I walked him for 30 minutes every day. But now he's arthritic and cannot walk for more than a few minutes. He travels with me everywhere as I give him daily insulin. This year he went up to Michigan three times (so far, he's going back two more times) and also he vacationed in the Smokey Mountains. He's an inspiration. Never give up on a kitty with diabetes.
ReplyDeleteWe has it posted to our sidebar.
ReplyDeleteHi Parker-
ReplyDeleteWe are with you!! Diabetes does suck. Our human dad and lots of his relatives are type one. It's no fun..so lets do away with it!
