The Rudy Report

My pathetic kittie look. (how am I doing?)
Hey kitties! Here's to a new week. It's me - RUDY! With your Rudy Report. Parker wants me to thank all of you who made her birthday commentathon a success, she had over 170 birthday wishes and that means that we raised over $42 to send to Wayside Waifs. The 'rents are going to even it up to $50 and send it to them in memory of our friends Fat Eric, Luxor, Molly and little Wintergreen.
I've heard a terrible rumor that has me a little upset. It seems that the 'rents think they need a vacation! And yesterday Mommy got out her suitcase and started to go through her "vacation clothes". This does not look good and rumor has it that Friday morning they are leaving us for Lake Tahoe! Why would anyone want to go near all that water? Why?!?!

Mommy says this is why...
Mommy says that no one should feel sorry for us as our most favorite sitter is staying here while they are gone. I say that I am going to milk this for all it is worth! Mommy also says that she and Daddy really need a little "'rent time". Whatever... 'rents can be so weird.
Stay cool kitties, it's Monday and for 'rents that seems to make them less happy, give 'em a purr or two to make them feel like Saturday!
ps - A. Nonny Mouse, we love you whoever you are! Smoochies!

  1. Lake Tahoe! Don't your humans realize that it's one of the deepest lakes in the U.S.? They could fall in and never be seen again! I guess if your favorite pet sitter is going to be taking care of you, it won't be so bad if your humans fall in the lake, but still...

    A. Nonny Mouse is very, very cool!

  2. Wonder what they see in all that water? Their reflections?

We hope you have a good time with your sitter while they have a good time getting wet.

  22. That's so wonderful about all the comments and the donation going in memory of Fat Eric, Luxor, Molly and Wintergreen!

I can kind of see why your mom might want to go to that Lake Tahoe, Rudy! You have fun while they're away with your favorite sitter. :)

  23. Isn't Tahoe a little off their beaten path? How dare they leave you. Personally I'd go on a hunger strike--wait I already did!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Rudy! Absolutely, you must milk your humans' absence for all its worth. Mope around, only eat when fed copious amounts of treats, and so on.

Does this mean we get a house-trashing party?

P.S. Congrats on the commentation--very successful!

  25. Hooray, you did so good with the Commentathon!!! Now, oh no, a vacation!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am so proud you raised green papers for a wonderful cause like that.

  27. Rudy, very cool that Parker's birthday blog raised so much money!

Lake Tahoe is nice if you like mountains and gorgeous scenery and stuff like that. We prefer our own beds and bird tv.

  28. Hurrah for the commentathon! Mommy says we will have to do something like that...we'll think up a good reason...

Rudy, pretend to work on a hairball this week. A lot. That'll make your Mom feel all guilty about leaving you. heh heh.

  29. Happy belated birthday, Parker!

We're happy where we are and don't understand why the woman says she wants to get away for a holiday.

  31. Geeesh - seems like the rents just had a vacation. hmmmm, I feel for you buddy - even if you has a wonderful, live-in pet sitter who lavishes attention on you. Well, on second thought, dat is not sounding too bad. Beg for lots of treats. Be sure to ignore your rents when dey finally do come home! You don't want to appear like you missed dem.

  32. It looks beautiful there in your photo! I'm sure you'll both be spoiled rotten while they are gone.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That does look like a lovely place where your 'rents are going. We know what it is like to be deserted though.
That was a lovely idea to make the donation in our sadly missed friends names.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lake Tahoe? Brrrrrr! All that melted snow, and it's so deep and cold and stuff? I think it's too dangerous for them to visit. Besides, there are all those tempting "kah-see-noze" around and they might lose all your food money!

They should stay home and attend to your every need instead.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh boy! Mom has been to that place, and she says it is very beautiful. I hate it when she goes gallivanting. At least you get to stay home and don't have to go to kitty jail.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Your mom better leave plenty of treats for the sitter to give to you.

My mom went to Lake Tahoe a couple of years ago and she said it was breathtaking! Whatever that means.

    ReplyDelete
  37. NO NO NO! Not another vacation!
Thanks be to Bast that ours aren't planning anything like that. Well, dad is but its for work. Mom will still be home so its not a total tragedy.
