Hey kitties, can you hear me now? It's RUDY! With your Rudy Report. We had a very restless night last night. Our little corner of the O Hi O is about 5 blocks from where they have a fireworks display for the town. For the 'rents and all of the other beans it's great because the fireworks are very pretty. But for Diamond Doggie, not so much...Diamond thinks that noisy intruders are trying to steal our stuff and he barks and barks and barks...The 'rents stay by him and speak to him in soothing voices, that helps ease his stress. But still he barks. I'll tell you, after the first few minutes it can get on a kitties nerves. We try to tell him that it's OK, but he ignores us. Today I am tired and I plan on napping in front of the cold box. The hots have returned with a vengeance! I hope you can stay cool and get some naps in - it's really all that Mondays are good for!
You have a lovely tail Rudy. We hope you can catch up on your naps today. It is no fun if you don't get your full 23 hours in. Diamond is probably tired too after having to protect all of you last night.

We are very lucky Fenris just gets in his dog house and goes to sleep during the fireworks. Maybe Fenris can have a talk with Diamond, and tell her fireworks are OK!
ReplyDeletePS: On the other hand Fenris goes nuts when our neighbor hangs out her laundry.
Poor Diamond he must be so tired today with all his barking - but he was only trying to fighten off the moisy intruders!

ReplyDeleteGrete woofie says that maybe next year she'll teleport over to help Diamond woofie. She seems unconcerned about fireworks, so just sleeps in the house...but bring out a flashlight or a camera and my Grete freaks out. Woofies.

Yep, it was very noisy here to until about 3AM, so napping it is gonna be today!
ReplyDeletePoor Diamond doggie! We got off pretty lightly last night, we only had to inspect the closet for a little while.

ReplyDeleteSounds like Diamond doggie made more noise than the fireworks! The dog here just whined a lot. She's kind of wimpy. Fireworks aren't THAT bad!

ReplyDeleteDat is a furry nice tail Rudy. Take lots of naps, da hots is not fun. Poor Diamond, dem dam fireworks is really annoying. We gots off easy dis year, just a few boomies from da park when dey lit off der display but it's purrty far away so it just sounded like a far off thunderstorm.
ReplyDeleteWE had boomers last night too ... from da BAD neighbors who were using illegal fireworks. IT scared us all pretty bad, but at least it didn't last a long time. We had to nap a lot today too to catch up.
