So whattaya' know kitties? It's me Rudy! with your Rudy Report!
It was a little rainy in O Hi O this weekend so the deck time was kept to a minimum. I did make the most of it and to my dismay, Mommy kept chasing me around with the Furminator. I know that I have mats, but they are MY mats and she needs to leave them alone! She finally gave up and then she made a phone call to Tiffany. Tiffany is my groomer and Tiffany said that she'd love to see me this Friday! Tiffany is very nice and I like her very much as LONG AS SHE LEAVES MY MATS ALONE! Mommy said that I might get a poodle-butt cut if Tiffany can't comb the mats out...YIKES!
So...I have four days to plan my escape. Right after I take a nap...
Stay cool kitties, and if you have mats, you might want to let your 'rents comb them out, don't be stubborn like me!
I hate mats too and I hate even more when Momma tries to take them. I hope you find a good escape.
ReplyDeleteGemini
My mom has been working on my mats for that past few weeks. I don't know who is the most tired!
ReplyDeleteSetzer and Teak have medium furs...Turkish angora's (TEAK) have no under coats so nooo mats, Turkish Vans, Setzer, have silky furs so he rarely mats.......Cherokee is just now growing his furs back now that he is on Wellness. Mom found a big problem with Merrick canned cat food...empty cans, oily smell in gravy......and it's suppose to be human grade.....ewwww!!!
ReplyDeleteRudy, your orange furs are as bright as the sun!!!=^Y^=
Some times you just gotta let them do it my friend. I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteYou are so handsome, Rudy, we love your fluffy furs...Good luck with Tiffany...Have a great Monday sweetheart...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteUh-oh! NO poodle cuts - you let your human and this Tiffany person know that Right Now.
ReplyDeleteOooh, we think your fluff is really cool!! I thought that I had a lot of fur to get mats in, but you have the MOST :) I used to have a lot of mats, but I had to give them up, every last one. My mom has a special comb now, and with lots of grooming, she keeps me from getting any. Good luck with the groomer!
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to see you with a poodle cut (snicker). We are sure they can get the mats out, and the poodle cut will be unnecessary. Happy Mancat Monday Rudy. ~AFSS
ReplyDeleteNow that everyone in my house is home again, you can come hide out here if you need to, Rudy.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking especially gingerlicious today, Rudy. My mum is trying to get me used to brushing because my pantaloons get little mats in them. I do not like it very much.
ReplyDelete-Lishy.
uh ohh! Our mummy shaved Pricilla in the summer when we first got her, but now she chases her with the brush and comb every day... Good luck with Tiffany!
ReplyDeletePurrs, Keiko Kenji & Pricilla
We're lucky we gots short furs so we don't get those mats. Rudy, we hope you can figure out a plan so you don't end up with that poodle cut. That just wouldn't be right for a handsome mancat like you!
ReplyDeleteWally & Ernie
We have long furs, but we don't mat. Mom is very happy about that! We're glad you got a little deck time...it's rainy here too.
ReplyDeleteSniffie and the Florida Furkids
None of us gets mats--well, sometimes Annie a bit, around her neck in the winter. But Chumley used to mat up quite badly and always went off to the groomer to be shaved. He loved the shaving, hated the brushing! We're sure you'll feel better, Rudy, once those mats are gone, even if you don't think so right now.
ReplyDeleteRudy, your furs are such a beautiful shade of orange!
ReplyDeleteRudy, your furs are so gorgeous. I hope you can get rid of those mats somehow. Please don't run away, we would miss you. Maybe let the Mom get those mats out so you don't have to have a poodle cut. Yikes, that wouldn't be good.
ReplyDeleteRudy, take a play from Jonesie's playbook...once the groomers appt is made, let mom and dad comb out the mats.
ReplyDeleteI think you should let your mum comb the mats out. That way you won't have to have the groomer.
ReplyDeleteIf you let Tiffany take care of your mats we're sure you will get loads of treats.
ReplyDeleteMommy's been picking at my fur lately, too. I've got to hide the brush!
ReplyDeleteRosie
Umm... Rudy... we don't think the groomer is gonna let you keep your mats. Srsly.
ReplyDeleteFortunately I have short furs, but I have some sisters that have that problem and they don't like it either. Nice to see you Rudy!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you can dream up a really good escape plan, Rudy!
ReplyDeleteRudy, we think you look great, even with your mats.
ReplyDeleteOh my Rudy, it's an neverending battle with these mats. Good thing Tiffany is nice.
ReplyDeleteRudy, resistance is futile. Mommy grabs me around my middle and holds up my tail and ::sob:: Daddy SHAVES my pantaloons off! It sux that I only weigh 20 pounds and they have thumbs. It's just not fair.

Rudy, my sisfur, da one dat came before, LIKED going to da groomer! She'd get da works, a bath ::shiver:: a nice brush out and her pantaloons shaved so ::whispers:: poop wouldn't get stuck in dem. She wouldn't let mom to anything but brush her! Hope yoo haf fun at da groomers and don't end up wif a lion cut. Tho dat might be good fur da hot summer coming up.
ReplyDeleteoh noes! do not let them gives you da poodie-butt!
ReplyDelete~Baby Audwey
Oh noes...I have mats in my furs TOO! Mommy tries to brush and comb them all out and I lay a bitey on her when she does. Nothing too serious but she knows I mean business.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the humiliating pictures!!!
ReplyDelete~Lisa Co9T
Sorry Rudy...that was rude...tee,hee..
ReplyDeleteLco9t
The furminator is nothing but trouble as far as we're concerned. Run, Rudy, run!
ReplyDeleteYour pal,
Titus
Yeah- sorry to hear about the Butt-Cut Rudy. That's just so wrong.
ReplyDeleteYou sure look awesome in those picshurs.
TK, who is glad he has short hair even if he isn't as purrty.
I only get small mats and I let mom comb them out. Hope things work out for you by Friday.
ReplyDeleteRudy
ReplyDeleteI don't get mats, but sometimes because I have a bit too much fur back there, I get little bits of poo stuck and Momma has to take the scissors and cut it out...I do not like that at ALL!
And I can't believe I admitted that!

Rudy,Rudy,Rudy!!!!!We have a feeling you may be a tad upset with Tiffany ;) heeheehee
ReplyDeletePurrs Mickey,Georgia & Tillie
You know, Rudy, we think you might be happier with shorter furs when hot weather begins soon in O Hi O. But you are indeed adorable with those floofy furs...
ReplyDeleteha ha ha ha snort ha ha ha poodle butt! ha ha ha sorry *wipes eyes* I shouldn't laugh because mats stink but...ha ha ha ha snort I just can't help it! poodle butt!
ReplyDeleteSeriously tho. Sorry about the mats. That has to stink. Maybe the groomer can get them out no problem.
The rain has been rotten too. My favorite window hasn't been open cause the rain comes right in. Not cool. I hope you get out on the deck soon!
Aaaaak! We just imagined you with a poodle-butt cut...and we think you should definitely let your mom or Tiffany brush out your mats.
ReplyDeleteI don't have mats, but my humans have been stealing my furs too. I don't understand why they can't leave us alone!!
ReplyDeleteI would willingly give the mats to Tiffany!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - your poor boy. M tried to use the Furminator on me, but I really protest loudly! I lucky to have shorter fur I guess cuz i don't get furminated very often.
ReplyDeleteSorry Rudy, but Mom can see your mats from here. That isn't good!
ReplyDeleteawwww, old Spotty (RIP) was a T Van and he didn't matt either, which was good since he hated to be brushed--had to wear a muzzle when we brushed him.
ReplyDeleteWe call that "privates clip" a potty clip or a sani-shave or a bikini trim at the cat hospital where I work, hahameow
You have your own purrsonal hair stylist? She will do a fast job, unlike mewmies...
