Last week, there was a holiday fair where Mommy works. One big table was chock-full of kitty and doggie stuff. So you can guess where Mommy was - she was mooning over all of the potential goodies that Santa might bring us if we are good...ahem...Anyway, unbeknownst to Mommy, there was a news photographer shooting photos for a story about the fair. She later walked up to Mommy and asked her about the festivities. Mommy, being the good employee, waxed on about the charity that this fair will benefit, how much it is needed, etc., etc. AND at the end she mentioned that the kitty toy she was eyeing up might be enjoyed by moi!
So...do you think that the news photographer put Mommy's photo in the paper and quoted her on the charity and how much good it was doing the community? OR did she put Mommy's photo in the paper quoting her saying "oooh, my cat would LOVE this toy"? If you guessed the cat toy quote, you win!

Later that evening, Daddy read the newspaper article and said, "well ...if there was ever any doubt in town that you are a C.C.L. (crazy cat lady), it's gone now." It was not long after that comment that Daddy got a little bop on the head. Hee-Hee!!

Well, if yoor mom is CCL den yoor dad is prolly a CCM (crazy cat man). Our dad gets bopped on da head a lot cuz he has a weerd sense of humor too.

Mom has often been accused of being a CCL, but she is also the first one someone comes to when they need some cat related advise. Being a CCL is a good thing, we think.

ReplyDeleteMom had lots of beautiful kitty ornaments on her tree until the fire in the storage place. She bought a few new ones from the Cats Exclusive booth (thats the shelter Daisy's Mom volunteers at), but she still feels very sad when she thinks of all the ones her Mom and Dad and Grandma gave her that are gone.
