National Feral Cat Day

Today I honor all of my currently feral kitty brothers and sisters
Today is National Feral Cat Day, and the groovy folks over at Alley Cat Allies helps them.
Alley Cat Allies is committed to advocating for an end to the killing of cats, leading the movement for change, and protecting the rights of cats—and the people who care for them.
Being a formerly feral kitty this is an organization that is very close to my heart. If you can donate, become involved or just go visit to learn more about feral kitties, it would help.
Thanks and smooches!
ps - I was not outside yesterday, I was inside behind a very clean window - see?

Daddy was very happy that he had cleaned the windows so well that you could not tell!

Gracie our fursister is a formerly feral. She still acts feral sometimes, she is still after all these years still skittish and darts off if there are loud noises or sudden movements. She has to sniff you before you are allowed to pet her, we think she is still remembering the bad stuff that happened before she came here. Because like the rest of us she is treated with love and kindness and gentle voices.

  20. I am glad you got rid of your terrible tiara. I hid mine on a shelf. I think I will be safe for a least a year, before Mommy cleans shelves.

  26. Great post! Our mom got a lot of very useful information from Alley Cat Allies website after she met her first feral cat and wanted to help it. We're so glad that they are working to spread the word about how to improve the welfare of feral kitties and the benefits of T-N-R.
