Remembering The Ones Who Came Before

Dear Payton,
I never got to meet you, but I have heard a lot about you and I know that you are the reason I have a home today. So... I owe you a lot. Mommy and Daddy are having sad feelings today, a few leaky eyes, but they are laughing too. They like telling stories about you. Seven years ago today, you suddenly left for the Bridge. I thought I'd let everyone see what a beautiful girl you were. I know that someday we will meet at the Bridge - we can compare notes about Mommy and Daddy and I can see for myself why they always say that I remind them of you so very much. You must have been a very wonderful cat.
So today my angel sister, I honor you.
Love,
Perfectly Parker
Payton as a teen, 1998

You got to go outside. You really enjoyed it too!
Mommy and Daddy said you were a most beautiful cat.

  2. Parker, Payton was beautiful.
Seven years ago.... We think that is such a long time but I think Payton will never be forgotten. Mommie still gets leaky eyes when she thinks of Caesar. Maybe Payton and Caesar have met. Maybe Caesar has told her all about you.

    (((hugs)))) always and purrrs too

  3. What a beautiful kitty Payton was. Mom says each kitty has a special place in every Mommie and Daddy's heart and it stays with them until they are reunited at the Bridge.

  11. Thank you for letting us know about Payton. My mommy remembers my older fur sister, who died 12 years ago. She had Muff for 18 years. I never had the chance to know her because she went to live with her daddy when he moved out, but my mom loved Muff very much.

  19. O Parker, Payton was bootiful an clearly well-loved. She taught yur beans well, didn't she?

My beans only had Scruffy two years, but she was 10 when she joined them. The bridge must be wonderful, but let's not hurry to get there, okay?
