Mommy is having fun with my photos and decided to get all artsy with this photo of me. I kind of like what it did to my whiskers, but it doesn't accent my wonderful eyes. What she really needs to do is get busy and decorate our tree! It's in the house with the lights on, but it needs all of the decorations put on it! There is nothing to whap yet!

Hello there! I am spent! After eating turkey, napping with our houseguests, playing with new toys and snoopervising the house decorations - well, I was not able to get my normal 18 hours of sleep. And I hear that our indoor tree is coming today - a kittie's work is never done! You know what else? Right after this photo was taken, Mommy picked me up and moved me so she could sit in the chair! The nerve of her! I had to nap on the snuggle on the radiator instead. It's hard being me these days, but I heard Mommy and Daddy talking - guess who goes for their wellness checks on Friday? Puff and Powder! Don't tell them, OK? I don't want to ruin their week! Have a nice Monday kitties - I hope no one moves you from your nap spot!

I won a drawing this month over at Moderncat! 3 Blind Mice from the very talented Marvelous Melissa! Everything about the prize was cool, even the packaging!

They smelled divine and they are very nom-mable (is that a word?) You should visit Melissa and see all of the wonderful things she has!

Rudy hogged in on them, he loves them too!

Shhhhhhh! ::Whispers:: Hello kitties, it me - the Rudester, here with The Rudy Report. Sorry I can't face the camera but I am on bird patrol! There are so many birds in our yard that I can't keep track of all of them! We've all been taking turns watching them - even Powder! After the weekend of football and yelling, I am glad for some peace and quiet. I need to get ready to be adored by company, we have guests coming tomorrow and Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving weekend. The 'rents are busy preparing the house and I know that there will be a big ol' dinner of turkey served on Thursday!

Sunday is gonna' be a whole lot easier than Saturday!

Diamond was the only one of us who braved the living room with Mommy and Daddy during the big football game yesterday. Some football players showed up in Maize and Blue, but they didn't know how to play! Lots of word from the bad word list got used. It was awful.
But as Mommy says - there is always next year!

I'm getting ready for the big game tomorrow - staking out my seat, so to speak. That's right kitties, it's time for the boys in maize and blue to host those "Oh How Mommy Hates O Hi O state" boys in a game of football. I'm choosing to stay in my kitty cube in case Mommy yells and throws pillows and things. I'm not sure if this is proper behavior for a Formerly Feral Kitty, but I think the cube will keep me safe! It's really the only time she gets worked up about sports. Michigan and O Hi O state are bitter, bitter rivals and from the time she was a kitten, she was raised to love those U of M boys and hiss at the O Hi O boys. Daddy says he thinks it's very funny we would come and live on O Hi O!
Today at her hunting place beans are able to dress in beautiful Maize and Blue or whatever colors those O Hi O people wear. It's also the day that the hunting place gives turkeys to their employees and Mommy is one of the beans who help hand them out - over 3,000 birds!
She'll be decked out in her Michigan gear giving those O Hi O peole the bird!
HaHaHaHaHa!

Yoo-Hoo kitties, it's me Rudy with the Rudy Report!

We got to go out on the deck! WooHoo! I must say it was an awesome day - the sun was there, we had 'nip and I took a snooze in the sun. I chased some leaves and caught a few, you can see me here laying an a leaf I had just deaded!
Mommy found a big mat on my back and tried to Furminate it out of me. I politely said no. Then she tried to cut it out. I said no again, without the polite part.
I hope she just forgets it's there. The last time she saw a mat I had to go the the ::shudders:: groomers!
And oh! oh! oh! Mommy cooked these yesterday! Yummy! We all had tastes and can report that it is deeeelish! Oh, Mommy said to tell you we did not get any of the spicy parts, just the meat part.
Did you know that Michigan plays O Hi O state next Saturday??? Since Mommy bleeds Maize and Blue and we live in O Hi O it's always a real good time around here.
Our Michigan flag is already flying!

Such a pretty Autumn day! I know that I convince Mommy to let us out on the deck, the weather would be perfect for a few hours of sunning my furs. Daddy has to rake leaves and I think for once, Mommy has a little free time to just sit and be with us kitties.
Mommy has been crazy busy these last few months and we deserve a little playtime!
I mean, who could say no to this face???

Little Stories From The Past - Diamond

Hi - Parker's Mommy here, When we adopted Diamond we did not know that he had a Luxating Patella. We learned a lot about it after we found out poor Diamond had one.

He starting showing symptoms early in 2004 (he was almost 2 years old). When we would walk Diamond he would go lame in his right leg. After a visit to the VET and X-rays, we took him to Mission Med Vet to have a consultation. It was clear from the X-ray that Diamond had to have surgery. So that's what we did. Diamond was less than thrilled. We worried that he would be a bad patient, but that wasn't the case. Diamond was a very good patient and his recovery time was fast! We gave him pain patches and he loved to take his medicine because they were wrapped in treats! We also learned that it's probably a good idea to have pet insurance when you adopt because surgeries are very expensive!
Diamonds fur grew back in no time, but we did call him "turkey leg" for a little while. He didn't like that very much. We even got him his own bear to sleep with because he had to sleep in a crate for 2 weeks after the surgery to keep him from walking around at night. Daddy had to carry him outside to use the bathroom because the doctor said he could not use the steps.

I'm happy to say that Diamond has never had any problems with his leg since the surgery. And we are very, very grateful about that!

It is Friday! Yay! Yay! Yay! We get to spend the weekend re-arranging the upstairs for Thanksgiving company! We are getting a new bed for the spare bedroom! We are changing things around! Hey! Wait a minute... I am a kitty and I don't like change!
Maybe this weekend isn't going to be as wonderful as I thought it was going to be!

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there - it's me, Rudy, with the Rudy Report!

I know, I am unbearably cute. And I have been having a blast with Uncle D. The best part of this weekend was that Mommy cooked a huge HAM!!!
You should have seen Parker - she was going crazy in the kitchen. She said HAM!!!HAM!!!HAM!!! over and over and over - everyone laughed at her! She made a real spectacle of herself. But it worked and we all got to have some yummy HAM!!! Even Powder came down for the party! We all know that the rest of the HAM!!! is in the fridge, so everytime it gets opened, there we are singing "HAM!!!HAM!!!HAM!!!" The 'rents just love it when we sing. Really...

Just when you think you have the 'rents to yourselves for a few days you find out that there is company coming! That's right! My Uncle D. and his ladyfriend are coming to visit for a few days. I haven't seen Uncle D. since we lived in Kansas City. We all love him very much - he was always a good sitter for us when Mommy and Daddy went away. I think I am happy about this. Diamond will be very excited and Rudy is going to faint - he LOVES Uncle D.! Puff and Powder, probably not so thrilled...
I need to go and get ready, I think I need a spa treatment so I look my very best...oh wait, I always look my best! Maybe a nap, yeah, that's it, a nap!
